Hi, I have terrible battery life since I receive the Oreo update so I would like to rollback to Nougat, on which battery life was just fine for me. I tried lots of different methods found on various websites but none has worked.
I'm currently on stock FRD-L09C432B521 firmware with bootloader unlocked.
Does anyone know a method that actually works ? Thanks in advance !
I think your battery's dead...
I've updated to oreo since he got out but the battery life has never changed

I've changed my battery for a new one last week so it's probably not the problem Anyway is there a way to rollback, no matter why ?

Hello.
What rom do you recommend for 6039Y android 5.0.2 rooted with 8+8GB?
I don't mind keeping Lollipop only I don't want shorter battery life after installing.
Thanks.

I have the same model, I've tested many times cm12.1, cm13, and decker's "r2" MM rom, IMHO the best is decker's.
Thanks all.
I think I keep the stock rom 5.0.2 now, maybe doing an hard reset (and then getting root and the 8 gb back) for cleaning things.

afaik eastern european 6039y got mm update two weeks ago - if alcatel follow the order that they used for stagefright fixes, then western europe perhaps get mm before xmass....

Thanks but actually I haven't heard nice things about batterylife in stock mm... so I think I'd keep the 5.0.2

How did you update? Via update on phone or did you flash new firmware via pc software, either best thing to do is carry out a factory reset, there is conflicting experiences in terms of battery life mm vs nougat, some say it has better battery life in Nougat others not so much, currently there seems to be certain nougat version firmwares which give better battery life.

Thanks for advice, i will try factory reset. But the problem my data on the phone to much ?
I am using an FRD-L09 with EMUI 5.0. Current version is B385. I am experiencing serious battery drain issue. I hardly get 4hrs SOT. I didn't even got a chance to work it out on Android 6 as i got nougat update in the day i bought the phone.Any solution to this other than rollback?
If you want to try.....do a factory reset from recovery but if you are unsatisfied of battery life you could use rollback package (transition package) to downgrade, you will find theese files on honor site in firmware section, with instructions inside the zip files

Its best not to upgrade to emui5. I have done enough analysis and found many people regretting the upgrade than enjoying the new features. I'm yet to upgrade though I got the update out of the box.
Follow this link to rollback FRD-L09 to Marshmallow.

If a factory reset didn't work, try an update (if available)
If none of the above worked, you stunt have nothing to do but to rollback

Use the guide provided by rommco , and clean the apps in lockscreen clean up and it won't satisfy , better to rollback to emui4.1 , it was good .
Thanks to @JaviLerma for making a comment that informed me. It’s available on AndroidFileHost, uploaded by Motorola Firmware Team.

It looks like this isn't for Android One, right? Dumb question, but is there a way to turn it into A1?

Yes, this is the US Retail image. The Android One firmware of the same version can be found here: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=5862345805528054493

I’m running the firmware linked in the OP, and I’m facing no bugs. USB connections work fine. I thought there were some issues with the fingerprint scanner, but they seem to have been resolved overnight. This is for the XT-1900-1 Retail variant. The update is only available on Retail and Fi on channel “retus” so far, and this thread has links to both the fastboot images.
Thanks
Thanks, works fine here

There is a noticeable improvement in performance after upgrading to Android 8.1, and this update in particular has great battery management. I did some light gaming, video calling for an hour, and extensive streaming and web browsing, all on LTE, and was able to get an SOT of about 9 hours.
Been running this since Saturday on the XT1900-7 32GB/3GB UK
Working fine so far, no problems.
Hi guys. It's this only for XT1900-1 or could it work on XT1900-7 variant (reteu) too?
Thanks!

Hi all. I recently got a U11. I know its already old model but I bought it only at 150 usd and its brand new and a 6/128gb no brand dual sim variant. Just recently updated it to latest nougat version but now I am thinking if its worth upgrading to oreo or pie when talking about performance and battery life. Currently getting around 6hrs SOT. What do you guys think?
Another question is if ever i try to update it to oreo, can I downgrade it to nougat again without unlocking bootloader or modding something?
Thanks and please forgive my bad english.
you can't downgrade without unlocking bootloader I think.
as for me I really don't remember how I was with nougat but oreo was perfect. I remember I redany comments about bad battery life but I was fine.
pie yes, don't ever update to pie. as for oreo I would say do it.
