Its just me or someone notice that the screen does move left/right a little bit?
Not much but still, that wobbling pretty annoying for me.

left to right? meaning on landscape, its normal because its the sliding behaviour.
but when it wiggles on both sides when in landscape. then its the sliding mechanisms fault.
i eliminated that using the Beatle case.

yes. common problem for users, i guess the engineers didn't taught it through
Same problem here... Very annoying but don't notice it with the case which is always on. Can't really send it back to China with a custom rom and get a new unit.
Just received mine and same issue. Not sure if I want to return it or not. I'm concerned it could get worse over time.
...its a slider phone...it slides
Haven't noticed that it gets worse yet. Constantly fiddling with the slider. Using a case you don't notice it at all.
Honestly can't believe this is actually a topic, it's a slider phone and for the ability to slide there can't be any friction (basic physics). So of course there will be slight wobble as is the nature of the design.
The Honor Magic 2 seems to slide without any wobble.

Duncan seems to think it's not possible to design a sliding phone with no wobble. I'm just pointing out that it is. Different phone, better design.
Hi,
Right there in France, my Mi Mix 3 wobble out of the box. A gap can be guessed between screen and body when hold through the light, may be half a millimeter.
Many people outlined this on Xiaomi forum, but not everybody knows this, others found it few weeks after use while fixation might loose a little.
Nevertheless, right now I can compare my Mi Mix 2 and my Mi MIX 3. The new screen is so gorgeous compared to the more yellowish and a bit washed Mi Mix 2 screen, and better balanced with its elongated shape. I am already in love.

A good solid tight case and the wobble disappears

I've had my touch pro for nearly two weeks now. I'm liking it a lot.
Now, in my unfortunate hamfistedness, I've managed to drop it. Didn't seem like it'd caused much of a problem.
But I've noticed that the front screen 'wobbles' a bit. Not much, and not enough to be particularly annoying, but I was wondering if there was an easy way to tighten it up again, so it stopped doing that?
Mine has done this from new.
With the device in your right hand with screen facing up the slide part of the screen wobbles on the left side.
Annoying.
Well, I must confess I didn't notice whether it did or not initially, so I'm only assuming it didn't.
It's pretty trivial, and doesn't really affect anything, but ... well, would rather it didn't, really

ok....mine too... but it seems most sliders have that. it was very tight the first few days, but after quite some sliding the screen is slightly off center to the right shifted. and it wobbles a bit.
my kaiser had the same issue....but i had to drop that one for that...
I too have the same problem. was wondering if one of the cases that has the keyboard cover would prevent this wobble or some sort of skin. Thanks and sorry for bringing back such an old thread.
Does anyone LIKE the size of the chin? I found myself instantly pleased with the added area to handle my phone. I actually left the sim in my 5x for a while to be sure. But I've never noticed how much I use the top and bottom bezels in portrait view. Especially when. Showing someone pictures or portrait videos. I dunno... I'm loving it. Perfect size where my thumbs never bumps the touchscreen.
Am I the only one?
I have no problem with it either. Take a look at the iPhone 6, which I have, and the bezel is about the same size as the Pixel. Actually the whole phone looks similar with a very similar feel. The Pixel is a little larger screen dimension wise but both are beautiful devices. And let's be honest here, if you can compare to an iPhone you're saying something. This device is a jewel if the battery can hold up.
I just got my Pixel today, and I wish the chin was a bit smaller to be honest. The onscreen buttons take up a good chunk of space that I feel makes it look a bit...iPodish? That's for sure not an accurate assessment, but it is what I think when I look at the chin of the phone especially. Like I said, first day and all. I love everything else about this phone though. I even think the price is justifiable.
I actually like the chin too. I find it helps my thumb reach the home button much more comfortably when using it one handed, rather than over extending my thumb to reach the bottom of my phone.
Plus it gives the phone a very minimal/elegant look. So no complaints from me!
No complaints here! Keeps the phone looking balanced

Yes same here... While at first I thought it was huge and unsightly, when I think about it, I wouldn't want my thumb to have to reach any further down to get to the nav bar. It keeps the nav bar at a perfect height. Still seems kind of boring though. But I'm also glad they didn't put any branding there so kind of a conundrum for me.

I dont mind the bottom too. It's not super noticeable and I agree that it makes the nav bar easier to reach.
I just wish people would stop calling it a "chin" - it's a bezel, not a chin. Look at the original G1 for a "chin".

Totally... A lot of people seem to want this phone to be the opposite of iPhone. But we already had that... The Nexus lineup. Sure some were better than others but they were never trying to compete with anyone directly. Just good enough with a great price.

I never noticed that the home button was more comfortable on the Pixel until I used my 5X and Pixel side by side.. thanks for pointing that out! Of course I can't say much about the XL cause I didn't get that one.

HAH. I've been Androiding since the G1... and yea, that thing had a Joe Swanson Chin for real.
I just joined the chin lingo cause everyone else seemed to be doing it... Peer pressure!
this is #13 of a long list of reasons i'm returning the Pixel. this phone makes so little sense to me i cannot even wrap my head around it, probably because i don't talk TO my damn phone. leave the AI for the kiddos. going back to my ****ing galaxy S3. maybe HTC 10 after that. dunno.
Now that I have my phone, in person, I don't mind it. I prefer balance/symmetry and the chin provides that. I would prefer a speaker there instead, but oh well …
The chin I actually don't notice. Maybe it's because I have the 5' black version. To me, the chin makes it better for one handed use. The galaxy s7 was hard for one handed use for me anyway. I think the chin thing is really blown out of proportion. Just my two cents.
In theory I'd like to see a smaller chin/ bezel and increase the screen size while keeping the overall size the same.
In practice, I don't mind the chin. I don't notice it at all.
I hear y'all but that Jay Leno chin and fivhead are fails to me. I do appreciate all the reasons why you like them but the could have put like 8 speakers in that space. Subs, tweeters and all that! Still love the phone though.

The bottom bezel adds balance, symmetry and consistency to the device.
I am still upset it gave up the speaker grill. But sure look uber minimalistic.

Totally agree with both of you. I think it really adds the balance. When I saw it at first I wondered, but once I used it I don't mind a bit. I use headphones so I dont care about huge speakers.
Coming from the BB Z30 I am use to the chin and prefer it becuase of the way I hold the phone and navigate with my thumb. Now if only google would pick up a bb 10 device and take down some notes. Like moving things down low so I dont have to stretch my hand to the top.

Same here, I only use my phones one-handed, whether it's the Pixel, Notes, iPhone 7+, etc. The extra space is where my palm digs into. The BlackBerry Classic is the only device I have to use two hands, but da*n, that physical keyboard is sooo worth it.
Greetings human beings,
I have this little issue and was wondering is some of you also have this problem.
When you tap the back side of the phone or you lay it down on a hard surface, the inside of the phone feels a little bit like a spring. it isn't an annoying issue, but it certainly is there.
Greetings from the Netherlands
Yeah tap on bottom right on the back. You will feel that spring . May be the vibration motor. But annoying yes

I can confirm this. I hadn't noticed until you just mentioned it. Doesn't bother me but it is likely the vibration motor.

Hi, I bought the MI MIX 3 from 6 / 128GB ROM Global in Mi Store of Parque Toreo in Mexico City, direct store of MI. But nevertheless, the screen of the Mi MIX 3 usually moves towards the sides as if it were dismantled also when the movement is made it has a sound as if it collided with metal, have 3 days since I bought the phone.
¿This is normal?

The screen does have a slight wobble to it. That isn't unusual. The sliding mechanism is comprised of magnets, which are made of metal. Closed, they attract, open they repel, giving you that satisfying snap.

This wobble is very annoying when you write horizontally or play like pubg. Today I took it to the MI Store and they did not want to make the factory default change, which is why I decided to sell it better or suffer a greater wobble in the long run.

It won't wobble more over time. It will always have that slight bit of wobble. The device is very well made. I can understand how the wobble would be annoying. It doesn't personally bother me enough though to want another device.

Yes, you can only touch the ones on the left of the divider bar. The rest is recent apps... A little bit stupid but I guess it is Apple IpadOS inspired...

Such a great device! Didn't take long to get set up how i wanted. Typing on the front screen is a joy compared to the Fold 4, and the inner screen is fantastic. I love, how it just feels like the S21 ultra I had to hold.

Yeah, every other foldable has a better outer screen experience than the Fold series... Hopefully, they fix that with the Fold 5 as dealing with Chinese only Android phones is getting old very fast...
Fingers crossed! I'm also interested to see how the pixel fold looks (if it arrives)

I was also excited about the Pixel Fold but it appears to be more of a Surface Duo form factor with a quite wide outer screen and smaller than ours inner one. On the bright side, once the Pixel Fold is released, someone will surely port its software to every other foldable out there including the Mix Fold 2.
