Screen wont stay on ! - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I changed the battery but didn't solder the wires yet, I just wrapped the wires around the metal contacts of the battery.
Anyways, the tablet powers on, the nvidia logo shows up perfectly clear and bright, the LineageOS logo shows up. But once android starts, the screen goes black. I thought the device is off but it's ON, pressing the volume button makes a beep.
I tried going to recovery, the menu shows up perfectly. and the screen would stay on as long as I don't enter TWRP. once I start TWRP the screen goes black.

Phone on screen will not light up

I cleaned the terminals on the battery and phone, rebooted. Phone is on but cannot light up the screen. Hit the power button and you can swipe to unlock and feel it vibrate but it is all black. It will flash once and the soft keys light up. You can hear the notification go off so I know it is on. What happened?
Holding the volume button up and half the screen is visible in landscape mode. If I hold he phone vertically goes black, horizontal and the right half of screen is lit and functional.
I can only see the right half of the screen when held horizontally, flip 180 and still the same side of screen, every thing works just can't see it.

AOSP issue that occurs rarely. You'll need to wipe everything and restore a backup or flash another ROM.
Thanks, I just figured that out. Got into download mode and the whole screen came on. Just wiped it. Too bad I didn't get to make a Ti backup.

Yeah. I know it sucks ;-l. It happened to me a few times with my test ROMs I've built and even to my own daily driver of CM10 ;'(.

[CM11] Phone stuck on black screen after reboot

So I use Adaway on my M8 running CM11 M9 (I think it's m9), and I just updated the host files, and when it said to reboot, I said okay. Now, it's stuck on a black screen that is actually the screen being on, it's just showing the color black. Right now the plan is for the phone to run out of battery, and hopefully I can boot into the phone after that. Can anyone recommend something else? Because I might be stuck in a boot loop with a black screen.
Hold power and volume up until phone shuts off, it will then turn on again. If you get in a boot loop, hold power and volume up u til the screen goes off then hold volume down when the screen goes on and you will be in hboot

[Q] Moto G power up, pass the bootanimation, and then the screen goes black

Hi,
This morning, my Moto G was working normal, then suddenly, i pressed the screen around to the wifi icon to disable the wifi. And then, the screen gets all black. The cellphone power up, pass the bootanimation, but when it was to show the Android system, the lock screen, it's all black. First i thought it was the brightness, but it's not. The cellphone vibrates when i press the lateral button, make the sound of charging when i plug the usb...
Any thoughts in what it could be?
It's a XT1033 with Lollipop.

S7 won't boot, blue LED always on.

Just some minutes ago my S7 froze because of Focus Gallery App. I don't exactly know what it did but the phone did not respond any more.
So pressing the power button did not bring back the phone either. After searching for a bit I found a way to simulate a bettery disconnect by pressing Volume Down + Power Button.
The Phone came back up and displayed the initial boot logo. Also the blue LED is on. But nothing happens from here on. I do not come to the "Samsung" boot animation and the phone simply
does nothing. Retriying Volume Down + Power Button doesn't seem to help too. I tryed all button combinations but nothing brings the phone back.
I also cannot enter the recovery menu. So no chance to reset to default settings.
I am running a stock Android on the phone. Nothing was done by me. No custom ROM, no root, just plain Samsung Android.
Is there sill something I can do?
Edit: I just got into whats seems to be ODIN Mode??? Can I do something from here?
Oddly this happened to me last night although I may have inadvertently done it. But the only way I was able to get my phone functioning again was reflashing the OS to the phone.
How did you manage to get the phone into Odin mode? I'm having the same issue with the phone being totally unresponsive but the blue LED on.
if you can reboot your phone with the VOL Down/Power, when the screen goes black, quickly press and hold VOL Up, Home and Power. it should enter recovery. or hold Vol down, Home and Power to enter the download screen.
I have the S7 Edge (rooted, custom ROM) and it's running fine. My girlfriend's regular S7 is having the same issue though.
When she plugged it in to charge last night, she checked it a few minutes later at which point the phone had (started to) reboot. The blue notification LED was on and the screen had frozen at the 'SA' from the 'SAMSUNG' startup logo. Forced a reboot with down+power, resulting in just the blue LED (no logo this time). Phone was unresponsive (couldn't force a reboot again) so left the battery to drain overnight. The phone is completely dead today even after charging - no LED, no boot, no anything.
I'm not sure if she had the phone scheduled to perform an update overnight and it froze halfway through, but that would be my first guess. So far, no fix.

[Q] Phone Not Loading After Screen Replacement - Updated: Now Power Button

Hello,
Recently, my phone and I took a splash in a pool. I've never replaced a digitizer before, but since everything was still functioning perfectly fine except the screen, I ordered a Digitizer/LCD. Just finished installing and pieced everything together except the outer shell. Went to boot up, but nothing. I had a full battery before I disassembled it, but figured maybe I didn't connect the battery correctly. I hooked it to the charger and immediately got the "Alcatel One Touch 3 - Powered by Android" splash screen. Then it went to the battery charge icon, (the same that appears when the phone is charging by not on). Tried holding the power button again, but no response. Unplugged/plugged several times and even pulled the plug at the splash screen. Nothing.
I'm pretty certain everything is seated correctly, but does this point to one specific thing I didn't do correctly? Any help is very much appreciated. I've come this far and see the light but so disheartened.
Hello,
Just wanted to update: It's the Power Button. I was able to connect to the charger via a power strip, flipped the switch and jerry-rigged so I could toggle the volume buttons. Currently, the phone is in Android Recovery mode. I can scroll with the volume buttons, but I cannot select (the default language right now), because the Power Button isn't responding.
Anything I can do?
Edit: Looks like I may have snapped the power button ribbon
