[CM11] Phone stuck on black screen after reboot - Verizon HTC One (M8)

So I use Adaway on my M8 running CM11 M9 (I think it's m9), and I just updated the host files, and when it said to reboot, I said okay. Now, it's stuck on a black screen that is actually the screen being on, it's just showing the color black. Right now the plan is for the phone to run out of battery, and hopefully I can boot into the phone after that. Can anyone recommend something else? Because I might be stuck in a boot loop with a black screen.

Hold power and volume up until phone shuts off, it will then turn on again. If you get in a boot loop, hold power and volume up u til the screen goes off then hold volume down when the screen goes on and you will be in hboot

[Q] Phone continues to reboot, need help

Alright so here's the issue. I was about to flash the latest CM using ClockworkMod, before it restarted it asked for superuser permissions which I had already granted before which seemed odd to me. I set down my phone after this to let it do its thing after this and when I picked it back up it was off and wouldn't come back to life. It's bricked.
When I try to power it on, it shows the Samsung logo and then goes black and then nothing. If I hold down the vol+, power and home to get to recovery it will show the Samsung Galaxy S3 logo then goes black, then shows the samsung logo again, then goes black and stays there. If I do vol-, power and home, it asks to press vol+ or vol-, so I press vol+ to get to Odin. It shows the Odin screen for about 5 seconds and then it goes black and stays black.
So basically, I can't boot, get to recovery, or get to odin long enough to actually use it. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Sounds like it is time for a replacement. I had a Thunderbolt that did the same thing and couldn't fix it because the phone will not stay on long enough to do anything.

[Q] SOLVED!!! HELP! Screen completely black

Hello,
I own a Nexus 5 (rooted, CyanogenMod11-M10, ClockWork recovery).
I had found a boot animation that I liked. I tested it but the images where smaller (768x1280), they had a black border around them which I did not like, so I decided to resize them to 1080x1920 also taking care to modify desc.txt with the new size.
But, upon reboot the screen went first crazy for a split second and then went completely black...
I cannot do anything now, I tried to access the phone with ADB but it tells me that I have to answer the onscreen question... I cannot even see the screen anymore
Is there anything I can do short of popping the back and disconnecting the battery?
Thanks
M
--- EDIT UPDATE
I tried Volume up (OR Volume down) + Power to reboot, it did reboot but the same problem appeared, then I tried Vol up AND Vol down + Power and it looked like the phone powered down (I could not see anymore the faint backlit screen)... Then I tried Vol up AND Vol down + Power to reboot in recovery but it does NOTHING... only the Power button alone works but it boots again normally and then again the same problem appears.
--- EDIT UPDATE SOLVED!!!!!!!
It just needed to rest apparently...
As I said I've powered it off by holding down volup, voldown and power... nothing was working: I could not boot into reveory and even the battery icon was not showing up, but after 15 minutes I've tried to reconnect the USB cable and this time the battery icon showed up... At this point I knew could reboot into recovery, so I did  then I have mounted /system and with ADB I've opened a shell so that I could delete the damned bootanimation.zip file... after that the phone rebooted OK (minus that glorious boot animation)
Yet, if someone has any idea why it had to wait off few minutes, please, add to this conversation.

HTC One Mini M4 - Boot loop

Hi,
I am using my brothers HTC One Mini M4 (completely stock, never rooted or custom ROM never flashed etc) as a placeholder for when I get the new phone. However, I was using it earlier and the screen went black and the capacative buttons were flashing on and off. It then restarted and I thought it was just a crash, however now it's turned into a loop. It starts with a vibration, then the screen goes black and I am able to hold the volume down + power button to enter the FASTBOOT menu, which it does for a few seconds before just restarting again. I'm now leaving it to just run out of battery, but does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

S7 won't boot, blue LED always on.

Just some minutes ago my S7 froze because of Focus Gallery App. I don't exactly know what it did but the phone did not respond any more.
So pressing the power button did not bring back the phone either. After searching for a bit I found a way to simulate a bettery disconnect by pressing Volume Down + Power Button.
The Phone came back up and displayed the initial boot logo. Also the blue LED is on. But nothing happens from here on. I do not come to the "Samsung" boot animation and the phone simply
does nothing. Retriying Volume Down + Power Button doesn't seem to help too. I tryed all button combinations but nothing brings the phone back.
I also cannot enter the recovery menu. So no chance to reset to default settings.
I am running a stock Android on the phone. Nothing was done by me. No custom ROM, no root, just plain Samsung Android.
Is there sill something I can do?
Edit: I just got into whats seems to be ODIN Mode??? Can I do something from here?
Oddly this happened to me last night although I may have inadvertently done it. But the only way I was able to get my phone functioning again was reflashing the OS to the phone.
How did you manage to get the phone into Odin mode? I'm having the same issue with the phone being totally unresponsive but the blue LED on.
if you can reboot your phone with the VOL Down/Power, when the screen goes black, quickly press and hold VOL Up, Home and Power. it should enter recovery. or hold Vol down, Home and Power to enter the download screen.
I have the S7 Edge (rooted, custom ROM) and it's running fine. My girlfriend's regular S7 is having the same issue though.
When she plugged it in to charge last night, she checked it a few minutes later at which point the phone had (started to) reboot. The blue notification LED was on and the screen had frozen at the 'SA' from the 'SAMSUNG' startup logo. Forced a reboot with down+power, resulting in just the blue LED (no logo this time). Phone was unresponsive (couldn't force a reboot again) so left the battery to drain overnight. The phone is completely dead today even after charging - no LED, no boot, no anything.
I'm not sure if she had the phone scheduled to perform an update overnight and it froze halfway through, but that would be my first guess. So far, no fix.

T-mobile S8+ stuck on logo after applying theme

I'm currently on the oreo beta update and tried to apply a theme. Afterwards the phone reset and is now stuck at the t-mobile logo where it seems to look like it's in one handed mode since the other parts of the screen are black. The LED light is on and the phone continuously vibrates. I cannot turn the phone off and any attempt at booting it back into safe mode doesn't work. Any suggestions?
Well I couldn't fix it normally so I went into recovery mode and reset the entire device which solved the issue. Hopefully no one else has to deal with that. If your device doesn't turn off, hold power button + volume down to get it to soft reset then hold power + bixby + volume up to get into recovery.
