Hey,
i just had the feeling that theres something wrong with my battery stats. Cell Standby drains about 25% battery up to 50% sometimes.
Is there something wrong with my nexus 5?

well it looks like you were in an area of no service for quite a while (the red bars). The battery gets crushed when there is no service and it is searching for service. I would put your phone in airplane mode if you know you have no service in an area. For example, when I enter the subway I put it into airplane mode to save battery.
I always recommend DS Battery Saver on the Play Store. When your screen is off, it turns off data (3g/4g).
To give you an idea of the benefits, I've been at work for 8 hours now, used my phone heavily at lunch, and my battery is still at 84%.
well, i tried using noBars or Autopilot but both arent working with 4.4. Instead of enabling flightmode they just crash..
So besides teh cell standby the battery stats seem ok? i was just wondering if there might be something wrong with the actual battery hardware.
I bought a new battery for my oneplus one from vifocal.com and I think its original battery. The battery seems to be very poor. I use my phone for 1,5 hours from which the screen is on for about 1 hour and the battery has drained down to 50%. Yesterday as my phone went to zero I turned it on in recovery mode to keep the screen on as long as possible to really kill the battery and the screen stayed on for at least 2 hours. How is that possible if the battery indicator shows already 0%. Anyways I believe the battery drops down to 0% even really there is a lot of juice in the battery. Is there anyway to calibrate the battery so it would show the correct percentage and is there anyway to tell how big is the battery really? whether I got a fake one or not. thanks

I've had an opposite issue few times - phone was shutting down while it was show that it still had battery (20% was the worst case). I fixed it by discrharging fully, then letting the phone charge all trough the night. this was the recommendation that I found on OPO forums from someone from their team.
Hello, guys!
I have a problem with my phone for the past few months and after clean flashing 7.0 Nougat it's still present.
My problem is that when I'm home, my phone drains not even few percent of battery. Specially when I'm sleeping, I can go to bed with 100% battery and wake up with 98-99%. BUT when I'm out, specially when I'm working since my work involves a lot of walking the battery just drains like hell and I mean like 7-10% per hour considering I don't even use the phone. Sometimes I will have 30min to an hour of screen-on time and after 10 hours of work I will be home with 15% of battery left.
Now I know that this is mostly to some rouge app that keeps my phone awake and drains my battery but I'm not really sure how to pinpoint it.
I will provide my stats from Bettertbatteystats and WakelockDetector if you guys can help me.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I just want to explain that the straight line on the first picture with the batter drain graph is when I went home and left my phone on the table for about 3 hours. You can clearly see that the difference in battery consumption during my phone being in my pocket and on the table.
When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Samsung Galaxy M30s's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I dont see any standby drain. When I keep data on (locaion, wifi and bluetooth off) in the night it drained only 2-3 % battery. with data off/location/wifi/bluetooth off it was 100% in the morning.
But I have a different issue, When I am using the phone, I see a drain now which was not there initially. Android system is draining most of the power. I usually used to get 9+ hrs SOT with 2 days usage. but now Both have dropped below to 1&1/2 day and around 8 hours SOT.. Tried all the things found on net, but it didnt helped.
Same things happens with after update. Before the update it works for 2 days but now a it runs for 1 & half day max.

I did the update too, so you think it caused by update? Is samsung deliberately doing it as everyone suspects of them doing that they slow down the devices or its just a bug they didn't realize?
Maybe it's a bug.
All tests are under airplane mode, no cell signal.
WIFI ON with "battery saver" OFF takes 0.5% per hour drain.
WIFI OFF with "battery saver" ON takes <0.1% per hour drain.
BUT !!!
WIFI ON and "battery saver" ON at the same time, the standby drain will up to 1.3~2% per hour.
I have test this for more than 10 times, trying to avoid any other cause.
Finally I'm sure that "battery saver" mode will cost more standby drain if WIFI is ON. ( yeah, that sounds ridiculous
But I don't know why.

Maybe one of your apps ?
Today night 8 hours : airplane mode, communication OFF drain=0% ( jawdrop).
Never expected anything like that.

The point is "battery saver" ON , could you turn it on and have a test ?

I mean this : https://photos.app.goo.gl/8EDCvkKQuieJGCueA
You can find it in quick panel or an app called "Smart maneger".
If you didn't turn it on , it's off defaultly .
Maybe your problem has nothing to do with this.
Did you guys find any solution. Found today the android system used 11% draining the battery

:laugh::laugh: What you expected ? Let me explain that smartphone is a little computer with operating system - which is essential to it's existence and work.
If you do not want Android to consume energy then you should power off the phone
11% is pretty normal
Losing battery when phone is idle, overnight drains about 15-18%%

The battery performs well when in use (discharges at the rate of 10% per hour Heavy Gaming 'CoD: mobile', which is quite good I guess) but when the phone is idle, the battery drains quite fast about 2% per hour and the battery discharges about 10-15% over the night.
Losing 10-15% battery is not normal for a phone at all, also 10% of a 6000mAh battery is quite huge.
This problem persists. Any help is welcome!
EDIT :
I have uploaded the battery usage stats screenshots on google drive, check the link. I turn off WiFi and clear recent apps before going to bed but still, the battery drains heavily 15% over 6-7 hours.
CAN'T share the link because xda won't allow posting URLs here as I'm new to XDA forum
Update on my battery drain, found the SD card malfunctioned and removal of the SD card fixed the issue.

How did you figure out the root cause? I am also facing battery drain by Android system after the recent security update.
Hi all,
My phone drained 14 percent battery yesterday while idle for 9 hours. The interesting thing is when i add the mAh usages that i see in battery and performance tab it only adds up to 6 percent battery usage. ( i calculated and confirmed with time that 40 mah is aproximately 1% battery)
Also this morning i am seeing an unusual drain as well while the screen is on, it drained 5% but it should have draned only 3% because it says it drained 138 mAh.
Does anyone have any idea about this problem?
This also happened 2 weeks ago and the only thing common both days were, i charged my phone slower (charged using usb on the car) instead of using fast charging.
I also leave the screen shots that shows the battery usage.
Put the phone into Airplane mode when idle: this may save some battery.

yes of course but the battery drain I explained sometimes happens I actually think its a battery indicator bug. Because it shouldn't be draining this much battery because it doesn't show any unusual drain on battery information screen contradicting the percentage lost (14% battery was drained but according to battery information screen it should be 6%)
