No Audio after flashing stock ROM - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hi All,
I was running Havoc OS in the past with no issues. However, today while tinkering with some stuff in my phone I accidentally bricked my phone.
I followed the guide to unbrick by flashing OxygenOS 9.0.3 Poe firmware thought fastboot mode.
However, now I observe that I'm unable to hear any audio either via Phone Speaker or Earphones. I've also observed that any video being played is stuttering. Have shared a screen recording of the same. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T-pcDwj2RWo3bmqjfSyzIINQujKtdcNH/view?usp=drivesdk
In call volume seems fine. Also video/voice calls are able to use phone speakers.
Any help in this regards would be appreciated.
Regards,
Ritwik Garg

This could be an issue with vendor and firmware mismatch, not sure. Think there was a thread about the same issue before. Will edit if I find it.
Edit: found it.. might be hardware error that's all the thread led to.. you could try the man download Tool to restore.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/tool-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-international-t3798892
Here it is. Make sure you follow every step.
If it doesn't help,I really don't know, might be hardware

Hi,
I was able to get it working. I reflashed the stock firmware from twrp to both slots. Everything seems fine now. Thanks for your help.

[Q] [HELP] I can't turn on my 1+1 (no fastboot, adb, just 1 vibrate)

Hi guys,
I have flashed latest firmware for cm12 by boeffla (23rd JANUARY) on cm11s (because kernel doesn't work without it) and there was bugged one thing ... For now you will facepalm yourself a lot. I was disappointed from the bugged logo which i wanted to fix by flashing logo from 44S. I thought that this flash will solve that, but the reality is bad, i have bricked it (phone just vibrate on start, no fastboot/adb). I read about this and the only way to fix it (I think, thread "?is saying that?") is JTAG.
Can I fix it only with JTAG (I hope that the way is real) or is there other way to solve this ? (I know, I have bricked it for stupid reason, I am beginner and sorry for my bad english.).
Thanks

I have the same problem as you. My OPO will not show anything on the screen, when I hold the power button I get one vibrate and that is it! Where you able to recover? I am very very interested in knowing? If so, I have looked at the guide up and down and I cannot understand the guide that was posted, It seems that the program MSM8764 tool does not work or does not like me. I look forward to your reply. Thank you greatly.

Your computer must recognize OPO as QHSUSB_BULK or Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (try to turn it on/off a lot of times by clicking volup and power (10s) until your PC will recognize it) then you need to install drivers from Color.zip (It is in drivers.iso, extract it, auto installation is chinese (I had to disable driver signature enforcement on win 8.1.)) and you will be able to run chinese utility which will flash ColorOS. I did it like this and my OPO is fully working.

[Q] Microphone Problem {} Need Help

Hey, I have got a problem with my OnePlus One for quiet some time..
It started about 2 months ago - Whenever I'm on a call, the other side can barely hear me unless I'm on speaker.
I did some reading and there are suggestions that this is because of some mis-written code or something, that makes the input of the microphone low, so that only a small precent of the sound is being transferred to the one I'm talking to.
this may or may not be the problem, but I wanted to ask you fellows if anyone has any suggestion on what's causing this and how to try & solve it.
I'm Running a Stock 5.0.2 Cm12s with the latest OTA update, and this problem started when I had Stock 4.4.4 CM11s.
Device isn't rooted & never was.
Locked Bootloader.
Please help if you can

This is because the zip you're flashing is to be flashed via fastboot, not TWRP.

See the thing is for that you should actually able to get your device detected in Qhs_detector_9008 mode which you can do using adb but that is a very lenghty and risky procedure.See if you can fair things up by running a couple of fastboot errands.

No sound at ALL on my OP6

Greetings, everyone. So I got an OP6 a few days ago from someone I know and it has two problems - first one is that there is no sound at all from the phone, the speakers, the headphone jack, even audio through bluetooth don't work (when trying to play audio through bluetooth the phone starts lagging like hell). Second is, the fingerprint reader doesn't work too, there is no option in the system, only on the first setup screen (after a reset) where it doesn't work anyway.
The guy said it happened after an update. I tried re-flashing it many times because it kinda looks like like a software issue, but nothing help. Diffrent roms, stock or not, doesn't matter, tried unbrick tool, no luck aswell. Disassembled the phone in the end to check for water damage or loose cables, but even that didn't help, everything seems normal inside. And it's pretty wierd to have 2 separate things not working at all.
There is no official support for Oneplus in my country, the phone is imported so getting an official repair is not an option. Anyone got any idea what I should be looking into?
Thanks.

Interesting, did you not have any sound at all too? From the speakers as well as headphone jack?
But yes, I tried to flash from fastboot, even did the unbrick tool which seems like the best method to get a complete factory reset. I'm not sure if there's some part of the firmware that can still be corrupted even after flashing though the tool.

Thanks, I'll try again later just to make sure.
Sadly, didn't work again. Flashed all the partitions that can be flashed with that tool, but still got no sounds, so probably it's a hardware issue in the end, but it's hard to imagine what exactly is broken.

I bricked my S7... can it be fixed?

So I modded the hell out of my stock rom and eventually broke it. After failing to flash the stock firmware about 50 times I gave up and put Lineage OS on my phone. Eventually I decided I wanted to try putting the stock back on and somehow screwed up my IMEI crap and don't have a backup. Basically all my phone can do is run stock rom but without any mobile network support or the same thing with Lineage OS. I've spent hours trying to fix it but nothing's worked. I checked just about every guide I've been able to find and none of them work. the issue is either not fixed or there's some kind of an error/change during the process that makes it so I can't continue. I downloaded some combination file that is supposed to help fix the issue but it won't flash via ODIN like the guide says so i can't do that.
I really need this phone up and working again. Anyone got any ideas? As of right now I have a paper weight that I can browse the internet on.
Update: I fixed it by flashing Android 8.0.0 firmware onto my phone instead of 7.0.0. I'm not sure why that fixed it because even lineage OS couldn't get my IMEI number but it's working now.

Quickest way to solve the issue as you've found out is to flash latest stock for device. Bootloader was the source of your problems, once upgraded it cannot be downgraded no matter what. All these bull sh1t guides saying you can just end up with a bricked phone.
Now BACK UP your EFS partition so this doesn't happen again.

1. Go here to download TWRP an install it via ODIN,

2. In TWRP select backup and choose only EFS and back it up to your external card (preferably also to your PC)
that will backup your IMEI etc
