I love to use Xposed features on my device. Now, I got Mi Note 3 Jason from my brother and I tried to tweak it as possible. I find most custom ROM are pie. Unfortunately, Xposed is still developed up to Oreo( still beta). So, can someone suggest the most stable ROM with latest security update? Lineage 15.1 nightly a good choice or not?v
Go to MN3 telegram group and ask there , a lot of people are using still oreo roms so they will answer you best.

Hi why developers not port Kernel Nougat to Oreo? Why wait for xiaomi? Xiaomi is slow
Example Redmi note 3 pro have official Kernel Android Nougat Only And Have Rom in 8.1
the developers want to wait for xioami so it becomes easier for them?
I know that if the kernel is ported to Oreo everything will not work but everything can be fixed

Porting kernel from Nougat to Oreo, is a hard work that needs much time... I hope developers will finish porting in next 3 weeks

Yes, because when Xiaomi released kernel for Nougat there were many bugs in stock kernel.

"Developers want to wait for Xiaomi so it becomes easier for them"? Please open your eyes, & go through GitHub sometimes. Satya has already achieved a bootable kernel for Oreo. And even my LOS15.1 trees are uploaded, which even though doesn't boot at the moment, but at least it goes into boot animation, & stays there. Many developers are working on the logs & trying to improve it.
If you don't want to help us, it's fine. But don't put allegations without knowing.
Why do you think xiaomi will release oreo kernel? Has they ever release more than the initially released? I don't think so, will not happen for the first time with this device

Considering how terrible are most of the current device trees for tissot, it's not the best advice for a newbie to look at them

Why dont you do it then? Don't be so demanding, devs here do it for free, just patiently observe and wait for releases
The question is inappropriate, if you're not a developer at least you should know what kernel is, you cannot simply fixed every problem.
Hello everyone. There is a friend offering me a Mi Note 3, the device is out of box with three months of use, and using the MIUI Chinese Beta with unlocked bootloader and it claims to use this version because there is no MIUI Global. My question is: how to know if this device is Global or Chinese: Is there any reference or specification in it? I had a Moto Z Play bought in China and it came from the software distribution channel: retcn. And if I install the Global version on it, blocking the bootloader again, is there any risk of damaging the device? Thank you all for the help! :good:

There is no risk or damaging device while flashing global rom to device bcoz Mi Note 3 has only chinese version so all devices are same. Don't choose lock device if you gonna flash with MiFlash.
Thanks a lot, Fataldose!
Tell him to unlink his mi account from device so you can link yours. That is it.

Ok, dimi89. I´ll ask him to do this. Thanks!
After 720 hours I got my device unlocked and rooted with magisk .
My question if there is anyone tried xposed ?
I have and use. Works on GSI/ROMs based on AOSP/LOS on Android 8.1
On ROMs based MIUI not working and make bootloop.
Thanks for replying
I found someone using v90 beta2 on miui but I will wait
Thanks again

Mi Pad 4 only got 8.1 AFAIK....
Yes, u have absolutely right @Crescendo Xenomorph.
I meant that Xposed framework works on devices with MIUI 9 based on Android 8.0 (@v90 beta2).
I have not seen Xposed work on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1 on any of Mi devices.
As you suggest in that case, it will not work on Mi Pad 4 yet.

But strangely, some users reporting success with MIUI 10 beta from xiaomi.eu, via magisk...
But I hold back from 10 as it got security issue with everyone being able to do anything to quick toggle on locked phone...

Maybe to be successful it matters the version we install ?. Systemless by topjohnwu or System by rovo89.

GSI rom is not a good idea. Try lineageos 17 for pure Q or look for the "Mi mix2s Arsenal" in telegram groups. There you will find new Pixel style roms
Okay thanks !
LOS 17 is stable and smooth or it's alpha/beta ?
It's beta but I have no problems with it - I use on a daily. For installation, I recommend using the newest OrangeFox recovery and 9.6.27 firmware.

Smooth like Miui ? Have always little scratch when i tried Android 10 rom.. (Pixel Experience and Arrow OS)
I found Android 9 roms was more smooth than Android 10 rom (on Mix 2s) or it's me ?
Hello,
I liike the OnePlus 7 pro very much. But I am a fan of Oreo rom as we can root this rom easily and install Magisk and Xposed without any dificulty as for Pie or Android 10 roms( where Edxposed is causing various problems and most of useful xposed module are not working). I know the stock rom for this phone is android 10.
So my question is whether an android 8 rom availble for this rom and is it possible to flash it without causing any problems.
Kindly inform.
Thanking You

I can't have my husband dessert's?
The technical explanation is that this phone came with Pie as starter OS and therefore there's no Oero kernel or firmware blobs available. And only bet would be LineageOS based on Oreo, but who would be crazy enough to waste a lot of time trying to retrofit Pie kernel sources and Pie blobs to work with older generation LineageOS [emoji38] You usually switch to LineageOS on Oneplus when they stop releasing newer versions of OxygenOS for your phone, not to downgrade.
