Device: EVR-L29
Same here I am able to enable oem unlock
One improvement not listed is that it seems the phone interface now works more snappy on android Auto. On my Mate 9 Android auto had been a total mess. They had fixed it not so long ago mostly....but the phone interface was still SLOW and seemingly unstable causing android auto to crash and come back. Had carried over just like the Mate 9 to this EMUI 9 Mate 20 X almost the same other than it was a bit better I think just cause the phone is faster and more powerful...but would still crash and come back. It seemed related to the call history as it was fine with minimal stuff there...but as the call log grew it always bogged down. Now seems to come right up and just work like it should finally and never messed with the call log backlog or anything...just seems to finally be fixed with 172.
Any updates? I am in 9.0.0.183

Hi all,
I have to L12, both with B317.
On both of them, in the last weeks, I have started receiving strange notifications apparently from EMUI. Apparently, they want to open some webpage, but I never allowed it to do it. On both phones nothing new has been installed recently and I haven't noticed any strange "activity".
Does anybody know anything about it? Do you know any way to stop them? They are quite annoying... I attach a few screenshots.
Thanks!

Long tap and it should take you to the app making the notification then uninstall or disable

Oh really? Wonderful, I wasn't aware of this function! I will try with the next notification I get and I will let you know. Thanks! :good:
Ok, it looks like the notifications are coming from the Live wallpapers, which seems to be part of the EMUI and it seems it cannot be unistalled.
I don't have this specific application listed in the Notification options, so I cannot block it. Any idea?
Are you rooted? , if so use Ti backup to uninstall/freeze. If not, I think when you click the termina button then disactivate should then be clickable (idk havent tried)
I've had my Mate 9 since January 17 and generally no problems (apart from the one I'm about to describe).
I can't seem to get access to to the screen that shows which carriers are available. I can press the the appropriate link 'mobile networks' (see screen shot) but nothing happens apart from the carrier name flashing briefly at the top of the screen.
This is the second time this has happened in the past few months. The first time, the only way I solved it was by hard resetting the phone. I don't really want to have to do that unless I have to.
Anyone have any suggestions on what I might try?
Cheers

Have you updated since January?
Yes I have. All latest updates as available for UK spec phone.

Actually, I think I solved my own problem! The latest b190 firmware after installing, gave me access to the the carrier screen. Not sure whether b190 actually fixed the glitch, or whether the process of upgrading the OS has temporarily fixed the problem? We'll see! ☺

Developer options > Bluetooth audio now gives a weird error:
2 options:
1. No pin, pattern or password set (authentication cancelled)
2. Verify that it's you (Before 1 month ago)
Cancel | Report (?)
I've reported the bug but still can't access my Bluetootch Dev options?
Any ideas?
Getting the same weird message, no clue what's going on there...
Yeah very annoying as I'm trying to enable bluetooth dual audio! No way I can downgrade from what I see?
Any tips?
Anyone still have this issue? I want to set up dual audio for Bluetooth and get this annoying message still..
Very frustrating indeed

BUMP! I've had several updates so far and none have fixed this sadly...
Did anyone find a fix for this? I recently upgraded to Android 12 and the same thing happened to me.
Same problem on x3 neo, some solution?

I'm feeling that the battery life is improved
I switched to another thread
Does anyone know what RAM Plus is?
The answer is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/october-update-and-ram-plus.4359995/
Yeah the update is great! Phone feels just a tad smoother. Battery life seems to be a bit better too!
Does Google Pay work?

Its supposed to, doesn't have a reason to not work.
I had an unusual experience ... I wrote about it here:
October update India CSC, not certified from Google?
A strange thing happened to me: I received an automatic update yesterday. Everything went normally, everything worked normally. Later in the store I saw that Google Pay does not allow payment because firmware is Root (it is not) or illegal...

I went back to the September update and everything works normally ...
Ive got this really old Android 6 device that was marketed as a "phablet" (phone/tablet )made by Ewis. Its the size of an old tablet but is supposed to be a phone with front+back cameras and all the usual features. Ss atatched of specs. (hardware still in mint condition 6 years later)
Issue is i want to get some sort of rom for it as the default one is full of bugs right from the start and freezes even with nothing loaded or running. ( fresh after a factory reset )
I use it just for media and not bothered with any of the higher end features so any Android that is still app supported is ok. 7? It came with stock Android 6 and the company never released any updates at all. 2 years later they even went so far as to release another device with the exact same model number and higher specs.
Pic showing the device does exist and size comp next to my Huawei Y7pro

It was replaced by the manufacturer with - and there is no link to the old model anymore. Just some old facebook pics
If anyone knows of a generic rom i could try that would match these specs that would be awesome.
