I used magisk to install a few tweaks so that my oneplus 6 could install the Google phone app. It's set as default, but doesn't give the option to screen the call. Daydream even runs on it, so the phone is basically a pixel. Has anyone found a way around this?

I actually already have this module, it's how I'm using daydream. It doesn't enable call screening. Not sure how i avoided the bootloop but it ended up working without issues... besides the lack of call screening.

If you read in compatibility he mentioned not for OOS i did not read it & get bootloop & in the end reset my device.Phone boot in 1st attempt but if you uninstall module then you get bootloop 100%
Has it worked for you?
I had "Google Dialer / Phone" app installed and I did some changes in xml config file. Even after that, I am not seeing "Call Screen" option.
Any luck?

Um, you know...If it is enabled, it will limited some operation. So I want to disabled it? But how to do that?
This should help make the process easier. You'll need root. Download the apk from the provided link and you're good to go. :good:

I thought this was the standard way we've been doing it for months, I know I have.
@Jorge_007 ,yeah, I know this. But you know, I think it is a troublesome operation, because every time I restarted my phone I have to open this app and click that button, I think can use a script to solve it, but I don not know. because I can not find the right scrpit to do this. So, can you help me?

Try this script I found on XDA and see if it sets it to Permissive after boot. If it doesn't work all you need to do is delete it. You'll need Init.d support. There's app on the playstore that emulate Init.d. Remember to install busybox first.

Well that's a bummer! Are you on the stock ROM or Custom ROM? For the custom ROM I know there are kernels here that are permissible by default. I'm not sure about the stock ROM. Have you looked into doing a soft reboot and see if the selinux policy sticks to what you want?
Here's an app that does soft reboot. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=simple.reboot.com&hl=en
Maybe that'll work. Doesn't hurt try right?
@Jorge_007 I used a stock ROM now.But I don not want to change kernel. Do you have other ways?

I'm not sure why you're having issues. I just installed the selinuxmodechanger app I mentioned earlier and it changes it to permissive after boot.... All I did was check the box show notification. What exactly are you doing that needs selinux to be permissive. Anyways, that's the end of the line for me. I don't know of any other ways to do it. Sorry.

No problem. And Viper4Android doesn't work well on lollipop stock ROM. I've already tried it before. When it does work it only worked for Google Play Music and nothing else. You're suppose to disable Nuplayer in the developer settings for V4A to work at all on lollipop. It worked best on Kitkat for stock ROMs.
Just seen that xposed has been released officially for nougat but it won't install. Has anyone got the official zip to flash?

Yes, I had the same issue with TWRP with Pixel XL.
I ended up using Flashfire to flash the Xposed installer zip.
Just make sure to select 'Auto-mount' after you've selected the file.
All seems OK, although I haven't tried any modules yet. Most are in need of a compatible update for Nougat anyway.
Hope this helps.

I have the Pixel and I used Flashfire as you suggested. Xposed does not appear in my app drawer, tho. The file I used was xposed-v88-sdk25-arm64.zip. Was I supposed to use a different one? Attached a screenshot of my About phone.
**EDIT
Whoops I just realized I needed to also install the apk. It worked!

Great, my apologies I failed to mention that the app needed to be installed.
Is the xposed installer zip the xposed-v88-sdk25-arm64? I am on stock 7.1.2.

Thank you. Installed perfectly.. just tried YouTube AdAway, and it works perfect.
Used flashfire and all it does is sit at a black screen, waited over 15mins. End up having to use the power button to restart the phone. I also tried to use TWRP, keep getting a error about failed to mount system/vendor. Not sure what the issue is here.

Someone on a Pixel XL thread has successfully installed Xposed just by pressing the install button on the App homescreen.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-xl/help/xposed-nougat-official-pixel-xl-t3685830
Certainly an easier solution!, and has made me feel a little stupid!
I'm not used to simple processes on the Pixel!

It works, but a cursor appears and the button on the S-Pen does not work.
Another thing to fix is the brightness slider; by opening the settings app and navigating to 'Phh Treble Settings' -> 'Samsung Features' -> 'Set backlight scale/max backlight level' and setting the value to 255.
(The brightness slider works normally in the AOSP gsi, but for the LineageOS gsi, you need to fix it.)

Hello,
No, I didn't try it since TWRP would complain about it, stating that the 'Size of the image is larger than the target device'

I've seen this problem occur on other Samsung tablets and people have found ways to resize the system partition. I asked a few months back if anyone knew how to do it for this device but got no response. Not much use to me without gapps.
Yeah i would also need the button on the pen.

what version of TWRP did you use or how did you flash it? I'll try it.
Hi Guys, so recently bought my P7P, a week ago.
Its on january update, rooted with magisk and all that.
I was wondering, whats the correct procedure to update it when the february update will pop (still didnt get it)
can I just accept the OTA and then flash again the init_boot? Or do I have to flash original init_boot, update, and flash patched init_boot? will that lose all my modules and configurations?
I've tried searching info about this, but i'm finding different methods and I dont know which one is the correct one.
Thanks!!
Why not Pixel Flasher? Takes care of everything...
Go to https://developers.google.com/android/ then click "flash" for the update you want. Make sure you unclick the option "wipe phone". SJSU use chrome browser.

No you don't need anything, however you will need to re root. But it won't close bootloader so you won't need to wipe.
Factory Images for Nexus and Pixel Devices | Google Play services | Google for Developers
developers.google.com
Make sure you select the option to not lock bootloader. Also this is directly from Google that's why I use it over pixel flasher

Use pixel flasher and you can maintain root at the same time as you update
Instead of going through everyone's answer, just click the link and read the thread thoroughly
GO Here for Pixel Flasher
