GPS stand alone not working

Hi guys,
I have a problem with my Gear S3 (frontier).
The stand-alone GPS does not work.
It works instead if connected to the BT smartphone and the active GPS (on the smartphone).
Reading on Google, I have read that would seem to be a known problem but there is a lot of confusion: does anyone know anything about me?
I also have read that there is a version of the FW that resolves but if I try to upgrade my S3 tells me that the "device is upgraded".
What do you thing about?
Do I have to go to the warranty Center?

Your EXACT device Model... example:
SM-R760 or SM-R770 or SM-R765 or SM-R765A B C D E F or...
Firmware Version... depend on your active Sales Code aka CSC... to find your Firmware Version on device, enter Code:

Other countries with DBT for instance... stuck since months on:

Device Model: SM-R760
FW version: R760XXU2BQC5

In theory we have many BQC5 SM-R760 users... who could tell you hints or experiences...
Here you can see... other countries/Sales Code... have newer Firmware...

Sorry, I have not found changelog for BQH1 in English...
No idea if any Firmware update after BQC5 have some GPS related changes...
I have only SM-R732... Gear S2 Classic..

please help by uploading the SER package for Russia 2.3.2.3 please i need to downgrade my gear S3 from tizen 3 back to 2.3.2.3

There is NO SER package...
All 80 CSC are inside 1 package... called OXA...
Multi CSC package or how ever you want call it...
BQC5 or BQH1 possible for SM-R760
For SM-R770 only BQC5 public for free.
NOT try older packages... as BQC5

This is known problem...
Remember BQC5 is old Version from March 2017.
If you have time... please check if BQH1 same problem...
BQH1 is newer.
Untested... no idea if Spay work or not in BQH1.

I ever forget how important the Phone Part is...
Maybe Samsung Pay and/or Samsung Gear and/or SPay Gear Plugin stores Versions history...
An kind of Rollback Prevention...
1 friendly user reported...
Spay will work again on Tizen 3...
Maybe if you have time... to confirm...

confirmed spay working in tizen 3 , I just tested
but Tizen 3 Killing the Battery in 1-1.5 days

How to downgrade from Tizen 3.0 to old version for the Frontier?

Is there a guide to downgrade the Frontier from Tizen 3.0 to the old version. I have problems with the Gear S plugin crashing, rendering my device useless and want to go back to the old version. Unable to find any for the S3 Frontier. Please advise.

SM-R760 you can choose between older BQC5 from March... or newer BQH1.
Possible sideeffects... Samsung Pay maybe not work...
Depend on your active Sales Code/CSC
If you search, you can find BQC5 and also BQH1 here in XDA...
Instruction is same like Update... with netOdin.
Tested from CQK3.
Maybe later Samsung could update their Rollback Prevention.
For now only use Software Revision 2... like:

Had battery replaced now tizen 3.0 gone

Hi I had my battery replaced under warranty and when I got it back my brand new tizen 3.0 os was gone and the pervious os was there. I factory reset the watch and checked for update and it said the most recent update was installed. Any advice?

I have no idea for which CSC/Sales Code...
You could update to:
A.
BQC5 Firmware
Then check FOTA... update over the air
If not update to latest CQL1, then...
B.
CQK3 is the old "buggy" Tizen 3...
But we have CQL1 not as Full Firmware...
C.
Or you check your active CSC/Sales Code... with Tool:
SDB
So we know if valid CSC/Sales Code is set... so it is easier to identify Firmware...
Depend on you.

No idea for which CSC/Sales Code released... if released...

Use netOdin...
Flash CQL1... with netOdin.
You can do this at home...

For instance most CSC are still on FVC8 Firmware...
Only few like KOO XAA ... have latest Version FVD4...
So if you have FVC8 on your SM-R870... then all is "normal"...

Model :SM-R870
I need to update it manually, since the update does not arrive via FOTA.

Are you able to identify your active CSC?
As I told... lazy Sam.ung only released for 10 of 70 CSC FVD4...
ALL others are still on FVC8
Active CSC to identfy is no Rocket Science... look at this Video:
You need only the part where tap tap tap on Software...
