No twrp Backup since new SD Card - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I have a new SD Card and I think this is the reason for my lost backup files in TWRP. How can I check this or can I check the sd card?

If it's a new SD card how are there backup files on it period, did you transfer the twrp folder to the new SD card?

You can't do a Nandroid backup of your SD card. A Nandroid backup is only for backing up the image on your phone.
Simply plug your phone into the PC, select Disk Drive and backup all your SD card data to your PC. Once complete right click the SD Card Drive, click Format. Copy data back to SD card.
EDIT: Sorry - misread the question. Same procedure really - just copy the Nandroid backup onto your PC and then copy it back afterwards. Usually the Nandroid backup and be found in the clockworkmod folder on the sdcard. The folder containing the nandroid backup is usually time stamped.
Does it mean i also have to reflash the radio?
Formatting (or replacing) the SD card will not require you to reflash any part of the phone. The ROM and the Radio are kept on the internal phone memory and never on the SD card.
Simply do as dr9722 has stated - take a copy of the nandroid backup onto your PC, then format the SD card and copy the backup back from the PC afterward and you'll be fine.

[Q] difference CWM backup to extern or intern SD

Hello,
is there any disadvantage if you make a backup with CWM on external than on internal SD card ?
Any risk ?
Is it possible to move external SD card to another phone (same type) and then restore it ?

I don't see a difference between internal and external backups. My current phone doesn't have an SD card, so all of my backups go to the internal, and it is just the same as my previous phone that had an SD card.
To answer your second question...yes. You can transfer the SD to another phone of the same type and restore a backup.

New SD Card

I have purchased a new SD card. On my old one I have Titanium Back-up and ext partition. What is the easiest way to copy all of my old files and apps to my new SD card

make sure to format your new card while its in your phone, or format it in your computer but make sure its formatted to FAT32. you can just copy the files from your old card to a random folder on your PC, then transfer them back to the new card

Just copy the files rom the card to the computer and then format the new card to FAT32 and copy them back. That's all I've done in the past and it's been fine.

Formatting SD Card as Internal Storage

I've flashed my tablet (SM-T800) according to the thread here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...android-6-marshmallow-tab-s-10-5-lte-t3219759
One of the instructions mentions coping SuperSU and GApps to the SD Card afterwards so they can be reflashed after an update. Does this mean I can't format the SD card as internal storage?
You can. But you still can copy files to SD card AFAIK.

Who keeps their TWRP backups on the external SD card?

Who keeps their TWRP backups on the external SD card?
Yup, I'm finding that AFT will not allow me to open up the SD card when I have a TWRP directory with backups on the SD card, and I am booted to the System! I can open the SD card up when I am in TWRP.
Anyone else?
