I was wondering, if its possible to disable double buzz vibration every 10 or so minutes it is crazy annoying, and doesnt serve any purpose, samsung health is disabled.
(sorry for a mistake in the post name)

so i noticed it buzzes when i recieve notification, and for no reason at all, like even if my phone right next to me on the table and it mostly is, it keeps on buzzing, that is freaking annoying, even my wife complains.
There is a setting to only receive notifications whilst wearing only.

Try putting it in flight mode, see if that eliminates any connection issue that could be causing the notification buzz?

Have you tried turning off long vibration in the settings? I saw it under the battery menu.

Make sure the Samsung accessory service doesn't have battery optimizations turned on in the settings on your phone. It can cause bluetooth issues and might be disconnecting and reconnecting.
Hope all this helps.

Unfortunately there is no battery optimisation in my phone since i have a flyme 7 system,
long vibration is off,
flight mode turns off all the notifications at all.
I guess you are right, it must do the bluetooth on/off just to piss me off, i searched the net for this issue on the flyme system but futile
i guess it has got something to do with the bluetooth on the watch itself, since even in standalone it does the buzz, unless you disable bluetooth

I keep getting MAILSERVICE_PWR_LOCK on better battery stats, and i have nbo idea what to do to stop it. It's absolutely killing my battery. I tried to disable email notifications but no luck
As well, it says com.htc.android.mail.Mail
Please help?
I am actually getting that in better battery stat a LOT too.....
do u have mail shortcut in your lock screen?
Uhhhh, yea. Could that be the problem:S ?
i am not too too sure but it might be....just a speculation....cuz i have mail as one of my 4 lockscreen short cuts too
---------- Post added at 05:33 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:41 PM ----------
Could u try disabling it and report back the results pls?
Hey, you're right it all works fine well for now maybe, ill update if anything changes. thanks!
any update?
I ask because I've been hunting down a battery drainer too and found this partial wake lock preventing my phone going into deep sleep. I removed the HTC mail widget from my homescreen and the wake lock has gone away. It kinda sucks cuz I like having the mail widget. Just wondering if you found a different solution to this problem.
Is there any way to do it in Lollipop? Or did they really decide to go back to Gingerbread behaviour? It boggles my mind and I could believe that I just missed something painfully obvious.
It's in quick settings and Display "when device is rotated".

Actually, I think you are correct. I do not see a way to lock landscape.

+1 I think they did. Odd.
:fingers-crossed: Great, now I can see "Fast Charging" on the Lock Screen?? Really?? I pretty much know by now when device is "fast" charging!! Hopefully the update did more then that!! (Worse, I do not use the Lock Screen.)
Supposedly there are security updates also? I really don't see much difference but I installed the update because I want LG and Verizon to be happy! <G>
I got the update last week. It broke the wallpapers. Only live wallpapers work now. Regular pictures just show up Ashland screen. Also when I click on some text boxes the curser will blink in the box but the keyboard does not show up. Always seems to happen at the worst time.

Post above should read "show up as a black screen". Not Ashland screen. I cannot edit from the new version of app. Says edit failed.
VS98715A just pulled down to mine. Wonder if it addresses the wallpaper issues?
Hey guys. I need ur help plz. My edge lighting is working but it doesn't go around the screen anymore if that makes sense. Like when u play music the light goes around the screen infinitely. Any ideas? Cheers
Hey, I just ran into this issue too with my phone. After factory resetting my phone, my edge lighting works but it doesn't run around the edge of the screen. All it does is turn on. I tried clearing cache and deleting data on the edge panel app settings but still nothing.
Tried uninstalling the Edge Screen update version 3.1.00.1 but still the same thing..
Did you find a fix or anyone? TIA

NVM. Figured it out. End up, you have to set "animator duration scale" in Developer Options to a scale instead of turning it off. Might have turned it off by accident..
I'm noticing some little things that are different in Oreo that make a BIG difference. Here are a few things I've discovered already that I'm looking for solutions to...
1) The button on all wired headsets that WAS the mute button now hangs up the phone....what the hell?
2) Hitting the "do not disturb" button in the quick buttons area at the top just throws it into do-not-disturb. Prior to Oreo, it brought you to a screen asking how long you want it to stay that way (hours, or turn off with alarm, etc..). That screen is no longer available so you can't have the device come OUT of DND when your alarm goes off in the morning.
3) Hitting the battery button in the quick buttons area at the top now turns on battery saver.....it used to take you to the battery usage page. WTF?
2 is really a shame.
Solution to #1: Apparently if you LONG PRESS the button on your headphones it will mute and not hang up.

Solution to 3, just hold the battery saver icon.

For DND, hold the toggle and it brings up a settings panel, there you can set automatic rules for time and stuff.

Solution to #2. If you swipe down on the notification shade again (to see the whole notification area) you can see a little down arrow under the DND icon. Select that after turning DND on and you can see the option for how long to leave it on again. Yes, too many button pushes but at least the functionality is still there.

Hell yeah! Why is it buried in there!?! That's an extra 2 input touches/swipes to get to it now. Very odd. Thanks for finding it!

Yes, but not the option to set it for 8 hours, for instance. Just to use the automatic rules. Have to select the down arrow to get that.
