Android One blutooth issues - General Questions and Answers

Hello,
I have a Nokia 7 and my wife a MiA1 both in Android One (android 9) and we are unable to connect to the bluetooth of our car (a Kia Venga). My son have my previous Mi5s (android7) and he can connect to the car. First problem was that I didn't see the car bluetooth but it is now resolved activating "Show Bluetooth devices witout name"
Now when I try to connect at the time when my phone ask for PIN code, the car indicates "Pairing Fail".
I can connect my UE Boom bluetooth speaker without any problem. I can't connect my pool photmeter tester (BT detected and pairing refused).
I have tryed to reset network parameters without success. I have tryed too all bluetooth solutions found on Internet
Could you please help me. Is there a mean to downgrade bluetooth to the android 7 version?
Thanks for your help
Yann

X50v Bluetooth-cannot re-connect to headset.Literally tried , tried and re-tried .

Hi Folks
I upgraded by X50v ROMS to the WM6 ROM ( A09 VOIP Gold ).This came with a rudimentary bluetooth driver. I upgraded to the Widcom Bluetooth driver stack for X50v and things worked just fine, when I FIRST PAIRED my Rocketfish bluetooth headset to the X50v. I could get impeccable sound quality .
Then ALL of a sudden , the Paired Bluetooth connection refused to connect to the BT Headset .
I gave the message . "Unable to connect to the bluetooth device ..please check if its switched oh..blah ..blah " .
Of course the BT Headset was on and my PC can connect to it if I switch my PC's BT Card on.
I removed the pair. Put the HT Headset in Paring mode..tried to repair ...NO AVAIL ..same problem.
I restored default settings ( hard reset ) and re-installed the BT Widcom driver- NO AVAIL.
AFTER ALL whats wrong here . Any idea ? anyone with the same problem ?
any soln ?
If I try to use the default BT ( Non Widcom ) driver its asking to add a port.
But after that I dont know how to connect ....
Please help..No Spider for this Bruce ...!!!

[Q] bluetooth pairing issue, how to solve?

Hello, so i bougth this great phone, but bluetooth pairing(+autoconnect) is not working at all.
So to the proplem. My opo IS paired with my alpine car stereo, but everytime i go to my car opo asks IF i want to pair it...and obviously it should just connect automatically since i have paired it earlier but no.
Is this some known issue with opo or my device just making me headtache?
IF anyone have had same proplems i would love to hear how you managed to fix it.
PS. All my old phones automatically connected to car stereo after pairing once, so its most definatly opo issue and not the alpine stereo.
Okey, i got this solved by doing 2 things, but because im stupid and didnt test it between these actions i cqnt say which one did the job or was both needed.
1. I cleared "paired devices memory" from my alpine stereo.
2. I cleared paired device list from my handset(opo)
Hope this will help someone else in future who got proplems with alpine receiver and opo.
Problem solved! bluetooth pairing and buffering issues
Hey problem solved
I had bluetooth pairing and buffering problems and now everything works perfectly. what I did was flash OPO_OxygenOS_1_0-modem-flashable.zip (you can find it somewhere in google docs..don't remember the link)
anyway after doing that everything works perfectly.
I am running cyanogen 12.1 nightly build from 20150601
then I flashed the modem.

Technical solution...too much ?
Hello All,
I too was facing issue with the Bluetooth connectivity. My headphone "Jabra Halo Smart" worked perfectly fine with other android devices but my OnePlus One. Issue i faced was that my at times my headphone would get detected but the headphone controls wont work. It was really irritating as i could not use the functionality of my headphones.
What i did was went into the Bluetooth options. Clicked on the setting icon beside my headphone and unchecked and rechecked the options.
Another action i performed was un-pairing the Bluetooth headphones from my device and resetting my headphones paired setting.
Third option was resetting the Jabra app that i installed on my mobile.
Fourth action is restarting your OnePlus device.
The above actions i performed in different orders. So one of them should surely help.
Suggestion provided by OnePlus Call Center: (which i did not need to try )
--> switch off the device
--> Press power+vol down button simultaneously
--> Select English language
--> wipe cache partition
--> wipe cache
--> reboot device
Advice while using Bluetooth headphones or speakers (especially Bluetooth devices having the functionality to connect multiple devices)...switch off the Bluetooth device and then switch off the Bluetooth of the host device (mobile, laptop, etc) and then connect the Bluetooth device to the other host device
Do not keep two host devices Bluetooth on...at times it causes to store the connection setting in the cache causing the Bluetooth device to act strangely. :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops:

Bluetooth pairing problem.

Hi,
I try to connect my S6 7.0 Stock to my cars bluetooth (BMW Z4 from 2006). I can find the bluetooth and enter the code. On the cars screen I see a message that the pairing was successful. But the phone just shows the bluetooth devices screen. When I click on the car's bluetooth, I'm asked to enter the code. So the phone doesn't know that the pairing was successful.
How to troubleshoot this? Could it be a problem with 7.0? Since I know that people can connect their S6 to their car, but no idea what Android Version. And I can connect an iPhone to the bluetooth without a problem.
Thank you

Honor 6X can't connect (pair) with Timebox Mini since update (Bluetooth issue)

Hello !
I really love my Honor 6X, but since the last update, I can't connect my bluetooth Speaker - a Divoom Timebox Mini - to my smartphone ! So... I tried a lot of things, including desactivate localisation, Wifi, nothing works ! It said "Can't pair to bluetooth devices because of incorrect PIN or passcode" but we can't write a key or password... I really don't know what to do, sometimes I just want to sell it and buy an iPhone 6 so my accessories works with no problem
Somebody has a solution ?

Bluetooth issue in car: Stock ROM vs non-stock ROM

Hi all,
I have a 2008 vehicle in which Bluetooth seems to be a problem depending on which ROM I have installed on the device.
I'm currently on Android 9 OB 7 and Bluetooth connects and stays connected through incoming and outgoing calls. Works flawlessly.
However, with for example Lineage (among others), the Bluetooth pairs, but connection drops soon after or drops after the first call with the car stereo showing "Net Search", meaning the car BT lost service but the phone Bluetooth is still connected. I've tried restarting and resetting network settings but no luck at all. Changing dev options doesn't work either.
I'm thinking it could be a Bluetooth stack difference?
Is there a way to replace the lineage Bluetooth with OOS?
There is no bluetooth.default.so file that I could find
Any help or direction is appreciated.

I am having the same issue with 9.0.2 OOS. So not sure if this us a compatibility issue with more than 1-2 years old vehicles or something else? Glad to hear that OB7 is working fine for you. Hope fix is coming soon. It's simply annoying.
I am having car connection issues as well. I have a 2010 Ford Edge. Just moved from Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra on Orea to my first OP device - OP6 Pie 9.0.2 - I can connect to my car initially but once I turn off my car, I have to go through a series of reconnect steps. I called tech support and we spent about 45 min troubleshooting - of course I was told I was the only one who had complained of this issue - anyway no resolution. The only way I can "reconnect" is to go into my car's system settings and select "connect to BT device" then toggle bluetooth off and on in the phone - sometimes this works with the first go, other times I have to repeat this cycle 5 or 6 times. Simply selecting "previously paired devices" in the phone app doesn't work either.
Really a pain in the tush, because I am usually in a hurry and don't have time to go through all this scenario to get a connection.
On the other hand, I have a bluetooth ear piece (made by Samsung that is like 5 or 6 years old) that reconnects every time I turn it on, no problems.
Car connections too but was not present in omni
I found for stock, performing a network reset (mobile, wifi Bluetooth) then restarting the device fixed the Bluetooth connection issue.
For custom non-stock ROMs, for my issue at least, I found its not a Bluetooth issue at all but rather the mobile network drops and the car Bluetooth cannot reconnect. The same network reset as above does not work but what does work is toggle off the "automatically select network" and manually select the mobile network from the menu that pops up. This keeps the mobile network intact (until the next device reboot, at which point repeat the steps) with the car and all is good.
I only figured it out by accident; hope this helps others.
