For some reason my notification tone won't play through my phones main speaker when I'm using my Bluetooth headphones. I've disabled all options in earphone mode but it's still not working. I'm on oos 9.0.2 any help?

Mine always makes a default sound while using headphones or a BT speaker/headset. Never through the phone speaker and never the chosen sound like any other phone..

Mine plays my actual notification tone I have set but it's just through my Bluetooth only. It sucks because Id like it to play through my phone speaker because alot of times I'll take my headphones out and and not disconnect.

It's your problem. Turn Bluetooth off when you take off your headphones

Anyone else notice the audio output via BT to be rather low? Connected this to my card (Ford explorer) and I have to almost double the speaker volume from what I had used with my Note 3..

Strange, I don't have this issue with my AT&T G3 and Motorola bluetooth headset. Maybe I'm not picky about it or something. It works the same as it did on my Nexus 5

Had this problem today in a 2014 Dodge. the G3 has separate BT volume. SO basically I had to max out my phone volume to make it normal.
Thought i'd mention this just in case you missed it.
BT headset volume is fine but music playback through my car BT is pretty low. Like what was mentioned you need to make sure the BT volume on your G3 is turned up all the way or you will have no bump at all.
I've had lower volume issues with a wired headset. It's like I need a booster.

I noticed this too and Amazon sells little headphone amps just for this very thing. My son bought one and said it helps quite a bit.

It worked for me, and if you read through the 1st page, the have a Recovery that works.
I have the AT&T version and I flashed the zip.
Works much better now.
Have you guys tried the XPOSED module Viper4Android app? I believe it has a way to boost the overall sound for headphones, phone speaker, Bluetooth, and USB Dock (all independently). It also has lots of other great sound tweaks too.
EDIT - Viper4Android isn't part of the xposed framework. It does require root, but otherwise is a regular app.

Afte rooting I installed Viper4Android and everything is amazing! I haven't ran Bluetooth but my headphone sound has increased 10 fold.
Compelling. I have hints of a minor problem with a wired headset volume. But I still feel there's no overwhelming evidence that returning to stock is completely dependable for the 850d.

I just wanted to clear up some mis-information. The Viper4Android app does not require the Xposed framework. I installed it while working with other modules and incorrectly associated it with xposed in my mind. But it is a freestanding app, not related to xposed. It does however require root privileges.
I just wanted to mention that since I posted some inaccurate information above.....

When youre connected to a BT device the volume control is for that BT device or connection.
I am on a custom ROM by Fulmics and my BT volume for calls is about 1/3 as loud as for streaming media.
Notifications are normal, it started when ringtone was quieter when BT was on, rings through BT and barely through phone, previously it rang loud on phone and just noticeable on BT... I use the BT for work and I can't have me not hearing what support is instructing me to do on a service call...
Will look into dev mode and tweaks and see if something is there to correct this low volume.
Yes I noticed this and there is a build.prop perameter that can be changed it's called : ro.lge.bt_gain_control_factor
I belong the factory setting is 0.8 I have mine set to 1.4 without issue but YMMV

Hi, I have the mate 9 pro and problem already stated in the title. The volume level is really low through BT headset. It's really annoying since I use at the gym and while running BT headset but can barely hear the music through all the ambient noise coming.
Didn't have same problem with OnePlus 3T or Nexus 6p. Now my Bose soundsport are basically useless.
And yes I tried to install any possible BT volume boost app from the store and they are no help.

Is there any way to get rid of this notice?
It jumps out every time after rebooting the phone when I connect the headphones play some audio and want to put the volume higher.
This prevents me to put the volume higher with a handsfree headset!
It is rather annoying. Also I would love to be able to set Media as the default volume option instead of Ringtone.

At the moment, I think I'd like to receive that notification! Mine just sets itself at what it wants & doesn't let me know!
I've never had that message maybe because I use Bluetooth headphones?
Thats weird, I dont get the notice with my bluetooth headsets.
Always with aux input though. Think every device ive had in the last few years comes with that warning.
I use the lg tone 910 and the platinum(I think 1100). Also my cheap bluetooth aux adaptor for my car without issue.

Confirmed!Mine too.
Hi I seem to have a problem with sound when using wired headphones for music. When I increase the volume to the top of scale the sound changes slightly / volume and tone. The left speaker goes quieter at one point until I click up to the top level. I need to check whether this occurs on external volume and bluetooth headphones...
I'm actually sure I received a small electric shock from the right earphone a couple of days ago too - it wasn't static as I was sat at my desk and hadn't moved!
Is anyone else experiencing this or is it likely I have a duff example?
thanks
Anyone in the UK changed phones from Samsung directly in store?

Using a UK G955F and don't have the same issue. Are you just using the phone stock? No viper or atmos installed?
Edit: Don't suppose you have a spare set of headphones to rule out the phone or the AKG's being the cause?

Just checked with the older white samsung earphones and same issue. No Viper or ATMOS.
I've just reported to Samsung and they have set up a remote fault investigation tomorrow evening.
It feels like a hardware issue but even if it is can Samsung rep in CPW stores exchange samsung devices or will I at minimum need to go to an experience store (not one locally but do have a CPW!).

Good luck with it mate, surely they can swap it if it is defective as you are likely still within the 14 day cool off period.

So I've tried my bluetooth headphones that work fine.
The phones speaker works fine.
It seems to be a problem using the plugged in earphones - not just the supplied ones either. The issue is def just at the top of the volume scale - turn it up to the top level and sound in right side decreases a little and tone changes.
Will update after this evenings call.
After speaking to Samsung they want to exchange it but their stocks are low already so exchange being done on Tuesday.

problem solved
Guys i want to share u what i faced n how i solved the problem on s8+ akg earphone. My akg earphone in the left ear did not played with full bass only small treble was there while right was working fine. Then i played a song on vlc on my computer on 250% sound and blew a small hole present just below the main hole with my full capacity for 5 6 times... n bang!!! It was playing allright like n new one. I don't know it will work for others but i wanted to share this. Thanks
Hi
Right speaker becomes quieter than left one when volume increases greater than 88.
Is it a software problem.
I reset my phone twice.

So I had the included USB C earbuds plugged in this morning while I was listening to a podcast. I then received a phone call and the audio from the ringtone was coming out BOTH the speaker and the earbuds. Which woke my wife up of course.
Then I tested this with Bose bluetooth headphones, and sure enough it did the same thing.
I can't find a setting anywhere in the phone that describes this as a feature. I also think that there is no way that anybody would want this to be the way the phone works, to have alerts and ringtones coming out both the speaker and your earbuds.
So I called Samsung, that guy was clueless, and said try factory reset, then return the phone if that does not work.
Then I texted Samsung chat, and that guy said, yes, all Samsung phone are supposed to work this way, with ringtones and alerts coming out BOTH speaker and earbuds or headphones. I only had a few minor gripes with the phone up until this issue, but this is a dealbreaker if I cannot find a third party solution.
Anybody else annoyed by this design? Who wants the speaker to bother everybody else around them when you have earbuds/headphones on?
I did not expect this to be normal operation. This is not right!

Are you serious? It shouldn't do that. I own every note up to note 9, if you use Bluetooth earphones or wired headphones, ring and sound should go thru Bluetooth or headphones, not thru speakers. There is something wrong with your note 10.

Somehow I found this setting in a different app from Samsung called "Sound Assistant" - and it solves the problem - EXCEPT - my watch still rings (I think that happened in my Note 8 as well!):View attachment 4810581View attachment 4810582
