Disable gps without disabling locations - General Questions and Answers

I havê looked far and wide for gps spoofing apps that could mock a certain location, without issue, but I keep getting what pokemon go spoofers call rubberbanding.
I was looking to mock my location so I could manage to meet Someone while maintaining my location at my job, to elude my wife, who hás access to my location history on her phone. My thoughts were on having a way to disable and reenable the antenna, thus being able to trick google's play services with a spoofing app. But I do not know how to code.
I am on an Oukitel U15pro, stock rom, and have my phone rooted with Magisk because of my banking apps.
Thank you.

How to disable certain apps from accessing GPS?

Hello. I would like to know how to disable apps from accessing my GPS COMPLETELY (specifically FACEBOOK).
I have installed Lookout Security to locate my phone just in case it's lost or stolen, and thus from now on I will be keeping GPS turned on. I am a "GPS off" kinda guy, but with the security provided by this Lookout app, I feel safer having it on so I know where my phone is. My problem is, I have location turned OFF on facebook for facebook messaging, but every time I open it up, the little GPS icon seems to be active when app is opened. I do not want facebook to have my GPS data in any way shape or form. Also, other apps I do not really want to know my GPS coordinates.
So my question is, is there any kind of other app that I can use to dis-allow certain apps from accessing my GPS? Some apps are OK and I trust, but others just have no reason to be getting my GPS.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Are you rooted? If yes, install Xposed and Xprivacy, then you can change the location behavior per app!

The fake location apps don't work (rooted device)

I have a rooted android device and have tried some fake location apps (non-root and root required). They work for Google Maps, it shows the location i choose. But for the other apps like connected2me and Tinder they don't work.
I tried to make the location setting as "device only" etc. but still don't work.
I started to think why it doesn't work and maybe it s because of this:
imgur.com/a/o66Jk
It says "Your device will need to use Wi-Fi and cell networks". As I understand, even though I choose a fake location, these kind of apps get the information from wifi provider, and that's the reason why it doesn't work.
Am I right?
Is there a way to solve this problem?
Edit: I just noticed something else. Unlike Tinder, connected2me doesn't want to use wifi and cell networks to find location. But it also doesn't show up in the location settings under "recent location requests" unlike the other apps. How does this app know my location without accessing my location lol
+1 i would like to find a trick. Normally when you are rooted you can do whatever you like with your phone even spoofing data to every app. So i'm sure there is a trick to do it. Anyway your post gives some nice clues to find the trick. I hope someone will share it here.

Disable fine location per app

Is there a way to disable fine location for a single app without rooting this phone?
The Garmin app is horrible at keeping GPS wakelocks and killing my battery so I want to allow it access to coarse location only. I still want all my other apps to work as intended so completely disabling gps isn't an ideal solution.
I really don't feel like ripping the APK apart but I may have to if nobody has a solution.
You can edit the location permissions per app and deny Garmin. But I think what you want is to not totally deny location to an app.

Can anyone trace your real location with fake GPS apps ?

Hello everyone,
Can anyone trace your real phone location even if you are using fake GPS apps ?
Sometimes when I run government-related apps, banks app, money delivery apps or even food delivery apps for example, the app asks me to turn off the fake gps I'm running in the background, otherwise it won't work.
To explain more, If authorities can trace your exact phone location through cell towers, why government related apps are programmed NOT to function unless you turn off the fake gps? Does this mean that FAKE GPS apps really hide your real location?
Thanks a lot

Generally No.
But also as you said govt. related apps, they uses/traces your IP and GPS both for better service. The govt. has advanced tracking system. So, even if you are using a fake gps they can easily trace your real location without asking to turn off fake gps.
Also apps like food delivery and money transfer have good tracking systems so they can easily detect that you are using a fake gps.
Now, for fake gps apps like Fly Gps, etc.
Some of them work properly and some of them not. Also if you have a root access on your device then there are some apps that changes your IP and Location both for better work.
Yes they really hides your location but they can easily be traced and broked by any govt. or any good hacker.
Hope It Helps!
