Hey,
just wanted to let you all know that there is a new OS available for download.
You can find the OS here: http://ui.nubia.cn/rom/detail/58
But I don't recommend the update yet until there is a way to root the new one too.
(Maybe it will work with the old root-tool, too).
And currently im not into the rooting-stuff so don't expect a quick release from me !
Cheers Nubians!
You can find the CHANGELOG here:
https://i.imgur.com/9keGnZA.png
Good to know.
Also be careful. If you translate the Chinese page, the first warning is that be sure that the root program number matches your phone release.
To check that - go to "About phone" and see "Build number".
Most probably there is a new "Build number" on the market.

Can you tell us what build version it is, you can find this by going to settings->about device then scroll to the bottom and you'll see build version.
Then you should be able to google the firmware and find if it is compatible with superuser or SuperSU.

Ok you should be able to upgrade to 4.3 now and it works flawlessly. Mine use to have the same problem (Note 2) but now the new update has been released it works. I don't know why.
Hi,
The update file can be downloaded but can not be installed. The phone is rooted and then unrooted. The SmartSwitch is also useless. There is no 5.1.1 Turkish rom when you search from Google.
Thanks

well you were right i tried searching for a way for your model. but no where to be found. as for me i was able to update successfully with smart switch program.
Any other idea? Thank you.
Try this:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/50356/G920FXXU2BOFO_G920FOLB2BOFF_XID/
At the end of the baseband version code there should be letters "FJ".
At the end of the build number code there should be letters "FL"
Model number is also incompatible.
OTA update is your best bet but you rooted your phone. Wait for sammobile to post 5.1.1 specific to your device.
Hi guys. Are there any news about official marshmallow for the chinese version of Honor 6 plus? I'm talking about the pe-ul00. On the emui site the last stable version is b351(lollipop) and the last beta is from january. Right? The only update that seems available is that I can find by hicare app. It's the B550. Is it marshmallow? Is it stable or a beta?
I'd like to update but I think nothing official came out. Do you have some informations?
Thanks guys
Same problem over here - I have Honor 6 Plus running EMUI3.1_PE-UL00_6.1.1 Lollipop and no updates since the beginning of 2016 Neither using the Updater app, nor anywhere on the Internet. What's up Huawei?
There could be an update, but my chinese is too bad . Take a look: club .huawei.com /forum.php? mod=viewthread&tid=7478881& highlight= PE-UL00
Maybe someone can translate...
Chinese forum: ]club.huawei.com/ search.php? mod=forum&searchid=13822243&orderby=lastpost& ascdesc=desc&searchsubmit =yes&pa ge=2
On chinese download site still the old version: emui .huawei.com /cn/plugin .php?id=hwdownload &mod=detail &mid=127

No, I am still running 6.1.8 beta with no problem. Maybe you can describe in detail from which build you started updating, which builds you used and what you have done step by step.
Did you try a factory reset from the service menu?

This is what i have done:
1) I'm updating the OS from the old KitKat 4.4.2 (not sure which build since it is auto-update with EMUI 3.0)
2) Then i try to update it to Marshmallow (the 2nd link from collinsc/KKF32; http: //pan. baidu .com/share /link?shareid =5380194 66&uk= 309376 3556)
3) It is then the nightmare started. Phone updated but somehow could not boot. Press the [Volume down + Power button], it shows the Android mascot with a caption mentioning that "Phone Locked"
So, i did a further research and found that my phone is bricked!!. And i found a discussion in this forum teaching how to reverse brick from DigiGoon (http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6/help/honor-6-plus-pe-tl10-wont-charge-boot-t3404687).
My problem(s) and question right now are:
1) I do not have the bootloader unlocked code. In order to get it, i will need to go to the Huawei EMUI e-mail to them the EMEI and S/N# to get it but I am still waiting for it until now. Is there anyway i can get it like RIGHT AWAY???
2) Also, can i use the latest "trustable" Android firmware (e.g. EMUI3.1_Android5.1)?
Sorry for the long details but hope that you kind a get what I am facing right now and probably recommendations on what to do next.
Sigh....

If you have a Huawei id and also know the product id alongwith IMEI or S/N of your phone, you can get it online from Huawei website. Just Google unlocking Huawei bootloader.
You can use any stock firmware but the latest one is the best.

1. It seems there is a general unlock code too for all huawei phones, maybe it will work for you. Give it a try.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2666116
The same is described here, but it is in german: http ://www.huaweiblog. de/allgemein/ general-bootloader-unlock-fuer-alle-huawei-phones/
2. And for the second question, the official 5.1 ROM worked fine for me, so just use it. http ://emui.huawei. com/plugin /hwdownload /detail?modelId=127
(from android 5.1 (build 6.1.1) I updated manually to android 6.0 (build 6.1.8 beta) and it still runs fine for me.)
I've updated the final Lollipop version 6.1.1 to 6.1.8 (Marshmallow) - all OK, works fine, no double tap to wake..
However, I can't get past that version - updating to 6.1.16 seems to pass OK, however I see no change in the version number or any other differences. Of course, checking for newer SW tells me there is none.. any idea how to get more recent Marshmallow builds? BTW, see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UgqDVmaEmYQ on how to d/l from Baidu, worked for me..
Hi,
Today my i9505 (stock) notified of an update available for download (392.94 mb OTA)
Would updating make my S4 difficult to flash? currently on I9505XXUHOJ2 could not find any information on what's new/changed in the update.
Also is the OTA update ok or do I need to update using the Odin method as the below linked site suggests & so do most of the past firmware update posts on xda?
Smart Switch says the file size is 1458 mb
I dont mind following either way to update my S4.
Ref: samsung-firmware.org
Thanks!
oh boy, it is still 5.0.1
not shure if I go to try this, the last one has a bug on my phone, don´t know, it was maybe the settings and back button bug.
but also 5.0.1 is maybe to outdated?

It's weird you haven't received any update. B130 is from January. There is a new B141 from August, so that might be coming your way soon. The B3xx seem to be EMUI 5. I can build a twrp for you, but you'll have to test it. You could probably try the one released for Mate 9, it might work. If not you just flash back stock B130 recovery.
I'll be able to build it tonight, at the movies now with kids

You'd have to use the Flash and rebrand guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-update-package-t3593108. that one has modified stock recoveries. However, none for Lite. I could check and compare Lites recovery to mate 9, if it's not too different it should be easy to make the changes needed. Else you could ask @mankindtw nicely to make it

I'll just check and see what mankindtw did in the other recoveries. It's just a few bytes in 2 files to change. So I'll basically compare your recovery to mine and/or the others in that flash thread and see if there's much difference. If it is you'll have to ask mankindtw as he might know what to look for.
Edit: I will check when I get home

You'll have to ask Mankindtw
It's too different. If it was just changing the bytes I could do it, but file size is almost half of my recovery image. Lol.
However, you should be able to use TWRP for P9 Lite. It seems to be basically the same device, both are named hi6250 (compared fstab, they're identical and named fstab.hi6250 ).

Okay, thank you very much, ante0 ? So, for sure, the recovery will work?

Ante0, you're awesome, haha ? I'd love to try it out ? Do you also know how to modify stock recovery so that I could flash firmware from Firmware Finder that is "not approved for installation?"

@mankindtw, I would REALLY appreciate it if you would help me out with a modified recovery for my BLL-L23 [Mate 9 Lite] ? Would you be willing to help me? I'll send you a PM if you don't mind?

It's not for sure. I'm just saying the P9 Lite and Mate 9 Lite seem to be identical. So you'll have to test. lol
In case it doesn't work you can just flash back stock recovery.
It's the same if I were to build it, it's not certain it would work as I can't test it myself.
But you should probably wait for mankindtw to patch the recovery image.
And if you install that TWRP, it will probably be in chinese by default.
you can look at section 2.1 here https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
to change it to english. If you'll just use it to update to EMUI 5.0 it doesn't really matter.
And when/if you update to EMUI 5.0, you'll want to flash this TWRP instead: https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/development/twrp-t3588356
If you want TWRP that is.

Thank you very much, ante0, for everything! I'll get a hold of @mankindtw now to see what he says ? I'll keep you updated also.
@mankindtw
I have been having issues with my phone, so I'm not sure if you received my previous messages or not (cannot find them in sent PMs), but my name is Vince, and need some MAJOR help...
I was referred to you by someone by the XDA name of ante0, and he mentioned to me in passing that you are the master at creating modified stock recoveries. I was hoping that you'd be able to help me out?
I just recently bought a Huawei Mate 9 Lite (BLL-L23)
that has old software on it. The current build is BLL-L23C605B130, the custom version is CUSTC605D001, and EMUI is 4.1; however, I know that there are builds that are much more recent. My phone, for the life of me, just simply cannot upgrade to the recent firmware via official means.
I recently heard of Firmware Finder and found the latest firmware for my device - but, it tells me under Check Firmware Status, "Firmware not approved for installation." I also heard that there is a way to install that firmware by bypassing authorization.
I would really appreciate it if you would be so kind to create for me a modified stock recovery for my device.
I don't know any other developers who can do so, and I'm definitely not a developer myself, haha. I can't explain why my device won't update, because I know that the most recent build is B364? If I flash the software by bypassing authorization, will everything still work perfectly?
Thank you very much, Mankindtw, for your consideration... I would be extremely grateful for your help, my friend.

Hello! I gave up...
I followed some steps, reading topics from this site.
I could unlock my bootloader (now everytime I power my phone I got a message reminding me that xD)
But I couldn't install the twrp, tested some adb softwares, but nothing... always got some kind of error. And I never get a clear explanation about those chinese .exe softwares to install twrp and those stuff.
