Hello, dear friends!
I'm struggling with recent uptate of my OnePlus6 to Android version 9
I always used Xposed to get "Hold back to kill" feature, but now there is no Xposed anymore.
Is there any way to get this feature withour Xposed.
Of course I have Magisk root.
Plz help if you can

Hi Guys
After one of the custom 5.1 roms crashed and left me without the phone, I have decided that I will go live with Marshmallow.
I have installed the original stock 6.0 MRA58K which after booting quickly went into MRA58N with OTA update.
Once I have realised how many things I am missing in my phone, due to using the stock ROM, I was looking for a perfect solution and decided that I will no longer be flashing custom ROMs, but use XPOSED as a framework with additional modules.
I have installed the elementalx kernel and added the correct XPOSED framework.
Everything was working fine until yesterday, where I have received notification about OTA update to 6.0.1.
First I thought that I don't really care about emojis, however I do like the option of "Do not disturb until next alarm".
I know that I can achieved by some additional modules to the xposed, however the OTA update is quite annoying.
Because I was on TWRP as a recovery, I have also installed the BusyBox and SimpleRecoverySwitch hoping that this will resolve the issue. Quickly reflashed stock recovery (don't know why, but every time when I was using fastboot to flash recovery with stock recovery.img, TWRP was still there) and found that I still can't use OTA update to 6.0.1. due to error:
"app_process 32 has unexpected contents".
After googling I have found that this is because I have xposed up and running.
Googled than for "unistalling" xposed and found plenty of topics, however none of them have provided me clear answers, especially to the question of "how to uninstall xposed". I have not found any original.img, so I suppose xposed installer have not created any backup, also when I will open xposed Installer - options to "uninstall xposed" are greyed out.
So my question would be - how can I easily remove xposed (temporary) without loosing data/restarting fully the phone, because after 5 days of flashing/reflashing/factory resets I am slowly tired from setting up personal configuration on my phone (even when on Marshmallow is much more easier than on lollipop 5.1).
If this is not possible, how I could remove OTA update from not only notifying me all the time, but also not restarting the phone (wakelock?)
Once you root the phone, you will not be able to upgrade via OTA. Your choices are to follow the instructions on this thread or to completely go back to stock without root and do the OTA.
Hello all,
I've recently given in to the draconic overlords that demanded no root (i.e. Niantic). I've rolled my phone back to OxyegnOS 2.1.4 (Android 5.1.1). Are there any more recent ROMs, possibly custom ROMs, that do not have root?
Thanks for any help you can offer.
sultans cm13 is specifically unrooted for apps that require no root. theres some xposed modules for things like pokemon go, banking apps, and snapchat if you want to keep root as well.

You can use Magisk and play your game even if you're rooted. Check this out. You can use it with AutoMagisk, which will automatically unroot on the fly when you open the game!

Thank you. I was using Magisk on CM13 but that stopped working, PoGo was really intermittent. Then I updated Magisk and phhsuperuser and only after the fact realized that they removed the root toggle feature in the latest version. That's what prompted the move to stock and the question above.

Thank you for this. I knew there were some around but I just couldn't filter them out from the root-included ROMs.
Dear Oneplus modding community!
I used to add a back gesture to my fingerprint sensor using apps from the Google play store combined with xposed framework up until oxygen 9.0.3, but since I updated to oos 10.0.3 none of these apps (non-xposed) seem to work anymore...
By the way, somebody stated it might work using xposed framework, but he also stated it's not safe to use yet, since it was constructed for android pie rather than q.. (people are reportedly getting stuck in bootloops etc..)
I am using Viper4Android as well (my device is rooted via magisk), so at the moment I don't think it's safe to install Xposed.
Has anybody figured out a working solution yet? Preferably without a permanent notification?
Thank you in advance.
Hello there fellas!
I've recently become owner of the Moto One Vision, just finished installing Magisk & disabled encryption.
Coming form a Xiaomi, the process to update (OTA) involved switching partition and restoring original boot-img of previous version through Magisk, but how do you handle it on this device?
I've only found this comment, do you know if this way to update keeping root is still working? or is there another method?
Also (off-topic), do you know if there's any magisk module (or xposed framework) that lets you control the gesture dead zone area? I only want to activate the back gesture if I'm doing it on the lower half of the screen.
Thanks for the hand ^^
Regards!

I used long press of back button to bring down notification panel on Oxygen OS 11 a hundred times a day. They removed this option from settings in Oxygen OS 12/13. Is there any way to get this back? I tried a few apps but no luck. I have root and open to supported custom ROMs and magisk modules (or Xposed if it supports Android 13).
I want this too. Could you please share it with me if you find a solution?
I tried several apps and could not get anything to replace this functionally. I ended up reverting back to oos 11.
