Hey all,
Just found this and thought I'd share it. All credit goes to the creator and I am merely sharing this link. Works on FreedomOS 2.1 for the 5T

Or if you are rooted, you can just run this code every boot up with Tasker.

1- Search and Install 2 magisk module:
1.1. Camera2 API Enabler
1.2. Mi A2 Camera for Pie semi-GSI

Yes Its Working But the front camera for instagram broke after installing this and even no video calling on Whatsapp

If so you have to whitelist the applications, so they don't get affected by camera2api enabled.
Some can break because of enabled camera2api, just do some research and you will find the solution.
After that you can do "take photo, do facebook" thing :silly::silly::silly:

Please can you give some more information about? Camera2api also broke Whatsapp video call.

This setup works fine for me on Pixel Experience android Pie only

I tried your method on pixel experience 9.0 gcam didnt work plus the default is also crashing after installing the module

Thanks brother but I think it's not in my luck to use gcam lol
The gcam app is not crashing now but it's giving a black screen in the camera window

All Google Camera features work perfectly for me. I can also record 4K videos with Gcam. Maybe It's time to reflash the Pie rom and try again

The only thing that won't work is 4kfor me.
Tried flashing different modules for rn5 patch but they either broke something on cam or broke my speaker phone in calls

Miui 10 beta android 9.0 camera to api

Hi, I install beta pie miui for my. Mi note 3 <China rom plus gapps)
How to run camera to API here? I made build prob fix no effect, vendor libs change crash phone.
Help plz

Undo all the changes you made, restart phone and then add these lines to build.prop:
persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1
persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled 1

Can you check if stock camera hdr mode works? Front cam is not working like in Oreo. It may need a fix to work correctly.

Fully working ALL cameras (gcam, stock, selfie) in all modes etc. My rom is dev miui 10.5 9.6.13 xtrv greek version (but it's the same with eu). app is Arnova Gcam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.6.190614.0200.

GCAM 7 Stable for Mi A1

tested on Mi A1 Android Q 10 Pixel Experience 4/10/2019. But, sometimes the app crashes.

This is the stable Google Camera 7.2, work on Mi A1 running A10.

Everything is working fine except the front camera is not working. I don't remember why buy all I know is that you can't use it on android 10.

How to install config file?

Make folder in internal storage like below.
Gcam/Configs
And place the config files in it. Then open Gcam click the black area of shutter button right side below. That's it.

I've installed today last version and it works for me without the config file recommended in this thread (the config file crashes the app so I've placed other config file of the available in the same Web in which app is available). I hope this could also works for you.

Some things don't work, like the selfie camera. I've installed the 7.4 3359 version. Did you install that one or the 3344 one? Just in case something don't work fine because in the version I installed it says something about S20...

I've also installed the 3359 version and selfie camera doesn't work also. There has some bugs but the quality is better than with standard one. I'll use both apps until the bugs will be fixed.
