I tried rooting my Pixel 3 tonite and was having success following along with the directions up to the TWRP part. I was able to get it onto my Pixel by typing the fastboot boot twrp-3.2.3-0-blueline.img.
Once the screen popped up on my phone it asked for a password, i just typed in one I use for most things and it went to another screen. I can't remember what i clicked on there but it rebooted and now I get the "your device is corrupt,it can't be trusted to work properly screen.
I can get it to go off that screen by holding power and volume down and I get to the fastboot screen but my platform tools doesn't recognize the device.
I think that is because I clicked of the allow USB debugging right before i did all this because I thought i had it done.
Anyone know if I can get out of this somehow?

Moto G not boot, it just gets in the bootloader screen warning
I'm having the exact same issue, just flashed the latest stable version of CM11 (with gapps obviously) from dhacker's thread in CWM.
Coming from 4.3 with the US version t-mobile moto g.
Stuck on the bootloader unlocked screen.
I thought for a while it was just that the first loadup takes awhile but has been 10 minutes now and am figuring something bad happened.
ignore all the italics, I'm an idiot
Edit: 25 minutes in, have tried connecting the phone to computer and running command prompts to it like I did to get into recovery, device not recognized under cmd "adb devices" or "fastboot devices" when connected to computer
Phone screen goes black for about 0.8 seconds when power button is held down and immediately pops back up into warning bootloader unlocked screen, trying to go into fastboot or anything like with volume down and power button achieves the exact same effect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit2: If I hold the power button and down volume for 20 seconds (just ignore when the screen goes black and hold it for 20 seconds) it will boot into fastboot mode
Recovery seems to do nothing but the device is now recognized by the mototool all in one, I will report back if I figure out anything more useful, I am hoping the mototool will save me
Edit3: tried flashing stock recovery, my phone now says in pink "hab check failed for recovery", tried flashing CWM recovery, it seemed to work. I then clicked "fix boot logo" it worked. The phone is now showing the motorola logo but doesn't seem to be doing much else, I'll let it sit for a couple minutes.
Edit4: If none of this works at least you'll have an interesting read about how to further destroy your phone
Tried rebooting to recovery, the mototool thinks it did it but my phone stays stuck at the motorola logo. I then told it to check connection and it now thinks there is no longer a device connected. Tried turning the phone off again, went immediately back to the motorola screen. I seem to be in the same situation except the bootlogo is no longer that ugly text. Back into fastboot mode, lets see what else we can do.
I checked to see if it was recognized by command prompts now and it IS, if you go back under like you were unlocking the bootloader and open up a cmd prompt and type "fastboot devices" it's recognized in this fastboot mode. This has given me new optimism, I'm feeling hopeful that my device is not destroyed, hopeful and very hungry, I will report back in after getting food.
Edit5: I've realized that I have no idea where to go from here, while I can access command prompts I have no idea what commands to put in, I tried hitting "factory" under the fastboot in hopes that it would flash my factory recovery, no such luck, I'm back to the same situation, tried hitting BP tools next because I didn't know what it was and thought it would be helpful, no such luck, back to the same screen, my quickly inflated confidence is now waning, I do have hope that someone can fix this issue but I am thinking that someone is not me.
I hit the recovery button, I'm sure I had done this before but this time it worked, went to restore from sd card, and restored my backup I made right before all these issues, it recovered my device, I then restarted it and everything is good now.
Apparently I am an idiot, but that's okay because my phone is working again now, after only about an hour or something.
TO FIX YOUR ISSUE HOLD DOWN VOLUME AND POWER AT THE SAME TIME FOR 20 SECONDS, IGNORE WHEN THE SCREEN GOES BLACK, KEEP HOLDING FOR ALL 20 SECONDS, CHOOSE RECOVERY, THEN GO BACK TO YOUR BACKUP THAT YOU SAVED BEFORE FLASHING A NEW ROM, RESTART THE DEVICE AND NOW THE DAY IS SAVED
So here was my situation:
I was flashed the wrong piece of software (stupid me) and I was stuck in a boot loop. Unfortunately the volume down button on my HTC one S was not working so a simple boot into bootloader mode did not work!
Furthermore, I couldn't even get the phone OFF! Pressing the power button for minutes on end still ended up in the HTC constantly rebooting itself. (Worst thing ever!).
FIX:
Step 1: Power Off device
Although this may sound very easy to do, I could not get the device powered off via the power button(10-20 secs) so I had too do it the hard way.
Luckily, the One S being a sealed phone isn't actually hard to take apart. Its actually rather simple!
I used a video on youtube to disassemble then took out the battery for about 30 minutes. (Search "HTC ONE S fix" on Youtube and you'll find it. Sorry i can't post any links im a junior member!)
Step 2: Plug the USB cable into your PC
Put the battery in ( if you used the physical battery pull out of course)
With the device completely off plug the cable into the PC and run the command
Code:
adb devices
By doing this my device actually went straight to the recovery screen and the device was recognized on the computer.
Now the recovery screen i got wasnt very helpful as it continuously rebooted and eventually booted back to the white HTC screen.
HOWEVER, the fact that I could use ADB commands gave me hope.
Step 3: Reboot into bootloader using adb command
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
This is where I really saved myself i ran this command and got to the bootloader screen and I was able to actually work with that!
Step 4: Flash/ Restore Backup to your device and get it up and running!
Now there are a couple of ways you can choose to do this depending on your specific situation and resources available:
A) When in bootloader mode you can access the fastboot commands which will allow you to run any flashing commands that you need to rewrite whatever is corrupted (e.g boot.img)
B) If you have a working recovery simply select recovery and boot into recovery and flash either your nandroid backup or a new ROM as a whole
C) This is what i did, I ran a stock RUU which deteccted my phone and in 10 minutes my phone was up and running!!
Now I know this is a rather rare case, but I actually thought my phone was gone and the fact that I got it working really motivated me to put this out there so someone like me may be able to get their phone up and running again!
Forgive me this is probably my first real thread, Hopefully I continue to post how I fix some of the rarest occurrences I always seem to get myself into.
NO MORE BOOTLOOPS! Who says we need volume down buttons? LOL
I have managed to get the PCeU Ransomware onto my Tab and now when I turn it on i immediately get the splash page asking me to pay up.
No matter what i do to try to get into Safemode or Recovery Mode it is no good I simply get the splash page up which prevents me getting any further in my attempts to remove it.
Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
I forgot to add that the usual method of getting into recovery is as far as I know the power button and volume up after turning the device off first (I have tried up and down volume as well)....i feel however that the device never completely turns off as when I hit the turn off option on the lock screen it shuts down but i dont feel the vibration that i used to get when it did this.

Try to force reboot recovery by using "adb reboot recovery" and wipe data and cache from here. If you want you can save data from TWRP
Greets
If you can get to download mode and reflash stock rom, it might work!
Cant get to download mode unfortunately. Is there any idiots guides for instructions for "adb reboot recovery"?
Scratch the above.. I found the above and was able to run the command prompt but the device does not appear to be found and when any command is run i get error: device '(null)' not found.
I can see the files on the device in Windows explorer however so would have assumed the drivers when correct.
I suspec the issue is that I cant get into usb debug because i cant get past the blasted ransomware splash screen.

Hard boot into recovery and then factory reset. Vol Up + Power until screen pops up then keep holding just volume up.
Hello guys,
I just replaced screen on my 64GB OPO. Phone was fine before screen broke and I had a PIN lock on it. Now, when I turn on phone, I cannot do anything on my phone besides pulling down notification bar and swipe notifications. If I try to unlock by entering my PIN, screen turns off right after. If I enter wrong PIN, it will say Wrong PIN, but as soon as I enter right PIN, screen turns off.
I'm not sure why this is happening. I decided to boot into recovery and reflash the ROM. I hold Power + Vol Down, but phone starts booting normally, no recovery. Then, I try to go into Fastboot by Power + Vol UP, and phone boots normally, no fastboot. At this point, I cannot access recovery or fastboot. Then, I try ADB on laptop, I get "Unauthorized." I can't authorize ADB RSA dialog on my phone because as I said, when I enter my PIN to unlock my phone, screen turns off. Recovery, Fastboot, and ADB worked perfectly before replacing screen.
Anyone know how to fix this?. Thank you
TL;DR:
Replaced screen. Entering my PIN turns screen off immediately. No recovery, No fastboot, ADB gives "Unauthorized" Error.

You can use this,it does not uses fastboot and instead uses hardware debugging port.
Also using this on Xp system will make it easier to detect the device.

I looked at that tool before I made this thread and in 3rd step, it says to press Power + Vol Up? Doesn't that mean you have to be in fastboot? Anyway, I tried it in Windows 10 and it didn't do anything. My phone gets detected by my laptop and everything. I will try in Windows XP and see if anything changes.

No, power+vol+ is actually done to trigger the qualcomm port,if your device can't boot to fastboot,it means it's actually dead then your pc should be able to detect it as "Qhs_bulk" or "usb qcom diagnostics 9006".
Make sure you install the drivers given in the thread or Qualcomm 2012 drivers.Again this procedure doesn't work on fastboot/adb drivers!
You'll have to disable driver signature check on win8/10,Xp works without any issues.

Hi Everyone,
I bought the Honor View 10 and it was delivered to me on 16.08.18. On 17.08.18 all of a sudden while using the phone, the screen went black. The phone is working though as I called from another number and it was ringing. The screen lights up but it is completely black. Since the seller has a replacement policy, I have already raised a complaint and the phone will be replaced. The issue I have is, all my data is on the phone and I am unable to wipe it. I can't do it via adb as it needs to have the USB debugging option enabled on the phone, which I can't enable now. One method I tried was tying to boot into recovery and assuming that I am pressing the correct buttons and wipe it from there. But this is very hard and I am not sure if I achieved anything or not.
This is what I did:-
1. Since the phone is on and currently stuck on lock screen, I need to enter the pin which I can't. So, I keep on pressing the power button until it reboots.
2. Then I press the volume up button and here I think I am booting into recovery. I think I was in recovery because my phone was connected to my pc and it stopped recognizing it. After this I did some button pressings and not sure if anything happened.
If anyone has a method which I can use to wipe my phone, please share. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the link. I tried it, but since the location on the device was turned off, it is unable to connect to the phone. Here is what more I tried so far:-
I was able to boot into fastboot mode. But none of the commands worked. "fastboot -w", " fastboot erase userdata", "fastboot reboot recovery". My pc is reading the device because when I type " fastboot devices", my device is listed. And the other command that is working is "fastboot reboot".

Another thing you can try, if WiFi is ON on your device, is try to install app to mirror the screen of the phone to your PC, you can do this via PC, open Chrome, log in with same phone's user, get in Play Store and install the app
Sorry but right now I don't remember a good one, but if you search, sure you'll find a good one
turn on internet
login to your google account
go to find my phone option
there you will have option to erase your data

Yes location is off on my phone .. I tried that option though but couldn't locate the erase option there .. these were the options:-
1. Ring or Locate
2. Check recent security events for suspicious activity
3. Try calling your phone
4. Sign out on your phone
5. Reach out to your carrier
6. Learn how to take extra steps next time
I tried searching for a mirror app as well. But all the apps I found needed to be opened once on the phone. So, got stuck in that step.
The new replacement phone was ordered today and it might get delivered by Friday. I think I'll visit the service center once before the new phone arrives and this one gets picked up. I though don't think they'll be to erase my phone without replacing the screen. But still I'll give it a shot. Apart from that, if the batter dies and the phone turns off, I'll then try to boot into recovery and wipe from there. Do you know any button combinations which can be used to turn off the phone?
