My phone tends to turn off in my pocket due to the power button being held and then, somehow, the "turn off" on the screen clicked. Is there any way to make screen lock lock the physical buttons as well? So that clicking the power button turns the screen on like it does now but holding it doesn't make the window prompt. From what I see, there's no such option in the android itself so some app maybe?
Hey is there any screenshot buttonn in the power option?
You do know you can hit the power and home button at the same time and take screen shots
Is there a way to enable stock screen capture like on vanilla ICS ROM?
Hold power button and press the home button.

Two ways:
-Hold the Power Button and press home button. This will save the screen shot under your "Camera Shots" folder in your gallery.
-Simultaneously hold the Power Button and the Volume Down button. This will save the screen shot under a newly-created "Screen Shot" folder in your gallery.

If I remember correctly the power+home button will save it as JPG where there power+volume down will save it as PNG, right?

Doesn't work for me (AT&T version). It simply changes volume.
I've tried holding power button for a second before pressing volume down button, as well as pressing both keys at the same time.

No, power + home saves it in PNG format.
The power+volume down works just fine. Your timing may be off.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
Ok, now it worked, you must press them together at the same time and hold for 1/2 sec, I didn't wait that long before...
Thanks.
The difference between the two are:
With power + vol down you get sound notification and notification in the status bar where you can view the captured image from, but because it saves outside of DCIM folder dropbox doesn't upload it automatically (which for many this might be a good thing).
Not sure which I prefer more, although power + home has been standard hot keys for many phones/roms I've used in past 2 years...

I didn't know about the Home button. This saves me so much time having to struggle to take the picture with volume down.
Now it has to call the screen cap by power off button, how to set it under scroll down meun? thanks.
Press power plus volume down button?
I've found holding down the power button is the best option. It gives you a menu with Screenshot in the list.
Alternative is as viperc suggested, or you could long press the home soft button and use the Google Share Screenshot feature?
When I press my power button to shutdown the screen my phone takes a screenshot I've gotten to the point where I can do it any time I want.It still does the palm swipe and power and volume down screenshot. How do I make this go away?

Maybe the volume down button is permanently triggering.
Can you check your volume, if it sticks to a higher level?
Turns out I had a bad case.Take it off and it never happens so I enabled the double tap to shut the screen down.
