I used to get the JASJAR battery issue by blacking out on X% - X%
but not anymore when i bought a new battery and replaced it with my old one, but i found there is an issue with the new one when i fully charge it till it shows green light suddenly the JASJAR freez and wont work till i soft rest
this forbidding me from fully charging it and really a pain in the ass when i leave it to charge overnight while im sleeping but when i woke up i find that it freezed as it shows green even if i pull the charger wire from it till i soft rest again.
in this case i prevent to keep it on the charger for long time to fully charge because i fear to lose any phone call or anything during freezing.
anybody knows the solution for this issue?

Perhaps if you try to install another ROM could solve the problem
Hope it helps and good luck,
I'm having the same problem. Have tried 2 ROM. I'm using 3200 mah battery. I'm not really sure about this, but when I'm using the 1600 mah battery, it seems ok. I'll try again tonight charging with 1600 mah battery

I had this problem two times with two new batteries, I sent them back to the supplier, it's not a matter of ROM (tried on my Universal and on another Uni of a friend, same behaviour) it's a battery problem.
Marco.
yes it is battery problem, UNI won't wake up when full charging.
so make it not sleep when charging
try to change setting -> battery power
do not check on external power.
hope it work

This Is Smart
defiantly will try it out tonight
I had similar problem, but it was ROM-related. Try re-flashing Tomal 8.2 and see if it solves it. Nothing to lose. If doesn't work - you know it has to be the battery.
I generally re-flash when problems appear, especially when you had the same ROM for some time. Solves most of things.
Best of luck
Well, I dont use my phone often because I use my Xperia but when I do, I charge it to full battery, then I turn it off, as you do to save battery, but next time a turn it on, it wont turn on causing me to plug it in, and Flat Battery! Do I need a new battery or should I try flashing a new ROM?
Thanks!
BTW Im using the Factory Battery that came with the phone

Try with reflashing roms and if you see that its still flating that buy a new battery
Sent from my GT-I5800 using xda app-developers app
Happened to me once. Here's what I did -
Charged the battery, let it drain totally. Then removed the battery. Without the battery pressed the power button. Then put the battery and tried it.
If not, check whether the battery has bluged or the cover is not fitting well. If yes then you need a battery. If no then you need to flash a new rom.
WATCH OUT! Before flashing a rom, charge the battery without switching on your phone. (When the phone is off connect to the charger and you will see a battery charging animation.) Even if it says, charged, keep on charging cause you don't want the phone to shutdown while flashing. That may hard brick the phone.
I've Flashed A New ROM, Lets See if I Have The Same Problems
Given You Two Thanks

Hi,
Have you tried removing the sim card and sd card, then, putting it on charge?
Also try charging while it is off.
On a different note, you might want to change your avatar.

a few days ago we gave him that solution but he says now that it didn't work
really sorry but i can't think something else
Had this happen to me. I had no charging light or anything. I got another battery put it in and phone came back to life. Funny thing was I then used my wall charger for batteries and put old battery in that charger , charged it and could use it in my phone again after that.! Don't know why my charging light wouldn't even come on but it wouldn't. So I suggest putting another battery in your device. If you don't have one you can purchase one fairly cheap off amazon. Once you put that other battery in I believe your device will come to life . Mine did. As for charging light mine was exactly like yours and didn't even show any sign when I plugged it in. So give this a try. It worked for me! Best wishes!

i suppose he means that
No I meant just try another battery. If you already did that and still no joy, I'm not sure how to help....strange because my device did EXACTLY the same thing! No charging light and all! However when I put that different battery in it sprang to life again! It was weird because in my case I still had about 40% battery left showing before mine went dead....?? I still don't know exactly what happened. It just died... No sign of life... No charging light.... Nothing... But I guess I got lucky because trying the different battery for me fixed my issue.... Sorry it didn't work for you! I guess if you still have warentee I would take it back. But before you do try another battery again just to make sure that it's not that... I wish you the best and hopefully you will get it worked out soon . It's worth one more try with a different battery. Check your contacts and make sure everything is alright at that end. Best wishes.

My Nexus 5 is showing 0% battery life and 0mv.
I have charged the phone over night to make sure it was fully charged, but even though it shows 0 percentage. Also does it not turn after XX hours.
Further have i tried deleting the batterystats.bin and did a full factory reset.
Is it possible that someone could help me on this issue?
Kind regards,
C4D3R
How old is the battery? When did this happen? Was the phone dropped?
Hi, thank you for your reply
The phone was not dropped, and it was just replaced
not charging
Having the same problem. OEM charger not charging the battery currently (just red light of death), swapped cables etc.
Nothing have worked for me so far, i've left it once for a few days to charge it charged up to 30% but started discharging after that
I'm wondering should i send the phone to LG to let them exchange the battery or its the charger, my lumia 720 charges in like 30mins-1h under all chargers 1.0-1.4A from Nokia, OEM Nexus 5 one and even Huawei but the nexus doesnt care about that
Any help would be appreciated
Are the batteries oem or third party? If third party, that could be the problem.
I have used cheap third party batteries from aliexpress and never experience this problem on the nexus 4 or nexus 5.
I am using a genuine OEM battery, Replaced by the repair center. I have also unscrewed it myself to verify this.
The phone is charging and turning on, however the percentage weirdly doesnt update like its not showing data from the battery (0%, 0mv or unknown in battery testing apps)
I just got my new OEM battery, first up it booted up and it showed 60% then suddenly turned off so i went to the recovery and it said 9%, now its under a charger but i don't think it will help it. Something is really strange with my Phone and im wondering if its the radio/any other software issue or its pure hardware if yes i just wasted even more money on trying to save my Nexus 5..
edit:
after 5 minutes under charger TWRP says its 15%+ wtf is going on?
edit2:
now the red light of death dissapears after few blinks and the phone acts *ded*, it "charges" the old battery but takes a lot of time but changing chargers/cables didnt make a difference
Is it possible that solders on my USB connection are just broken or something? it reads fine as usb but when it comes to charging with AC it takes forever/discharges under a charger :/
I just flashed an android 7 rom on to it, but now it stayed at 100% and keeps saying charged (even though it wasnt charging)
So i flashed the original android 6 from the nexus pages again and still have the same issue (0%, 0mv)
Really hoping to fix this
