(HELP) Phone consumes more battery than charge?

I have a HTC Sensation rooted and running on the VIPER rom 1.0.1 i've had that ROM for a month without any problems until this week I charge my phone using the charger i got with the phone and it take a very long time for the battery charge. i can leave the phone in the charger overnight but it would not get fully charged. On some occasions even with the phone charging the battery level falls.
I was like totally lost. I had that charger for almost half a year and it worked perfectly on my device without any problems.
ive bought a new battery off ebay and the problem still persists
ive also tried charging with my usb port on my pc and nothing has changed.
Now the problem that I'm experiencing is that my phone discharges faster than it charges. and that totally sucks. I need some advice,

[Q] Restarting the phone gives MORE Battery?!

Yes, this is exactly what I get lots of time. Today, I had been charging my phone for around 3 hours starting from 14% battery. Till now it had reached around 55 % when I had to remove the charger and I put my phone somewhere. Then after some minutes I connected my phone to the PC to charge via PC now, as the charger was unavailable to me for the moment. I found that the phone had been turned off automatically. OK, so I turned it on but I saw that the battery is 100% !!
Similar thing happened yesterday when I was charging phone and decided to restart mobile thinking of getting more RAM, for it had not been restarted since a while. I restarted at 20% battery and turned it on to find that it was above 50% !
Why is it happening? Does my battery get charged quickly but phone does not tell me or is my battery behaving funny? (actually, not funny at all)
My brother's HTC Amaze charges from zero to 100% in around 2.5 hrs and other brother's Xperia Arc also charges from zero to 100% in around 2 hrs.
But my Sensation normally takes 5-6 hours.
This is a known "issue" and is due to (closed source) htc drivers. Those jumps are rather large though, could also be due to bad battery calibration; something to be expected just after flashing a rom.

I have never flashed or rooted.. didn't they give a solution?
Actually it happens even if you're completely stock. It's a known issue in everyone sensation, i think. I also think It won't give you more juice as percentage will reduce faster to where it should be.

That's what I experienced yesterday.. it dropped down real fast.
As mentioned above, it may also be a calibration issue. I am saying this because I sometimes charge with charger and sometimes with PC (USB charging Mode), and even sometimes switch between these while going from 0-100%.
I think it doesn't matter how you charge or deal with your phone. I don't think that battery calibration will solve it. If you reboot it'll increase your battery percentage, even if you don't use a charger.
it is a common htc issue with battery percentage
it happens with my device too
while charging if i do a reboot it jumps to a higher percentage

[Q] help with htdc desire 500 battery drain

Hey guys, i have reacently bought new htc desire 500, and i recently noticed (at the nex day) that when i pull my phone from charging (green light indicates that its fully charged) the phone imediately goes from 100% to 99%, and in two hours goes to 80 even if i do nothing... This morning i just read some newsfeed over wifi... In 20mins it wen off to 94%. The phone is brand new, not rooted stock firmware. I have sent it to repair center they just changed the charger. And the same issue persists. I have tried to calibrate the battery, tried and charging in other ways... But its just the same. My old htc rhyme stayed at 100% for hours if i didnt use it. And after university time (6h a day) it just depleated (with games and etc) to 60. But i had plenty of time to go to internet and chat whole day with couple of quite long calls. Sorry ofcourse for crapy language, hope there is some sort of repairs, caus i dont want to give my phone again for two weeks again...
think i found what happened
ok guys and again me i have gotten home from university now, and putted phone to charge. it was showing me that it has began to charge from 7% and ok, then i just pulled out the charger pulled out battery (charger cable is in phone) then i putted charger back and then battery, and pressed one time the on/off (1sec) then phone turned on (not completely) and showed me that battery is charging, from 73%. (the turning on, the phone wast not complete, it started to show only battery that shes charging) so i think there is some problem with calibration of battery, so we need to do is give it a quite good kick, with charger and non official charging mods. (pulling out battery while it charges and etc...)

Z3 Dual battery levels jumps arround..

Hello everyone,
I've bought an used Z3 dual couple days ago,and after having it for some days now I noticed that the battery jumps around, for example from 88% to 50% then 32% then goes back to 88%..
That usually happens when I'm running heavy apps, like camera which caused a phone overheating as far as I noticed.
Anyways,Yestrday I fully charged the phone and when I plug it from the charger it does down to 50%,it stayed at that level for almost 24hours.Few hours ago the phone suddenly the phone turn off (while the battery was still 50%).But After putting the phone in the charger, the phone keep showing "charging icon" and turning off.It was like this for 30min and it is not charging at all..
Have anyone been in the same situation before ? What could be the problem ? and how would I solve it ?
Waiting your kind replies..
That sounds like the phone battery is literally dying.
Don't think that it is a software problem you could solve on your own.
You could try this though, doesn't hurt if you do the Method 1:

galaxy j7 battery problem

i think my phone has some serious problems and i'm wondering if it's the battery dying or a short circuit
when i plug it on a charger while of it shows a normal charging image but how it switches from one animation to the other so i can see the status of battery percent it's like a short on the screen happened
it chargers to 100 but when i switch it on it shows mybe 95 but never 100 and if i connect it to a charger to get to 100 it only decreases
it gets warm now days which did not happen and it like drains 50% overnight which is obviously not normal. these two days the battery life is like 4 hours with internet wich with j7's battery it should not happen. if i switch it off and then on again i loose like 20% of battery and if that is all i had i get 0% and the phone doesnt switch on. the phone never had contact with water . it's been 4 days since this started and it happened all of sudden like today my phone stays up to two days at most and i just woke up it barely finishes a day without data and with power saving mode
i'm sure it's not about background apps or any activities because i hard reset it already and i don't have any app. and it's not about wifi or sync or poor network i tried all that. i did everything it didnt help. i could buy a new battery but i'm scared it might be a short because i don't think a battery can just die in one night like this.
can anyone help me with this or it's nothing serious and i have to change the battery
