I keep getting this message to logout and log back in. But I have no idea which program it is coming from. I have logged out of all my accounts. I have uninstalled apps but still it is coming up. So there must be a app that is installed that I have no idea that I need to to log in to.
Is there some kind of log file that I would be able to look at that keeps track of these things. It just pops up probably 3 to 4 times a day "Please log out and log back in"
Thanks for your help as this has been happening for about 5 months now.

Maybe a screenshot would be usefull, is think it's from your google account.
So I sold my phone (Galaxy S6) on Swappa, first time ever. The buyer received the phone went to set it up and the an error reading "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device." He recommended doing a video call where I would give him the password so he could get in and remove my account. And I would be able to watch him so I know he isn't stealing my information. I changed my password before giving him it because it is similar to other passwords I use for other logins. When we went to do the call it keeps looping back to that same screen with an error message. I know it recognizing my email because I see my picture pop up when it asked for a password. In my research I just came across articles like this: http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/07/13/dont-change-your-google-password-before-factory-resetting-your-android-phone-you-might-trip-a-72-hour-security-lockout/
I just want to know if I am permantly locked out because I changed my password after I reset, or if we can try again in 72 hours? I can't find anything more clear about changing the password after the factory reset, everything talks about before.

sorry, i cant help with your question, but in the future, remove your account from the phone before factory reset and you wont have this problem.
any phone running lollipop and forward will have this new security on it, and if your phone never had software older than lollipop on it, there is no way to bypass the security check.
Hey,
I was having a phone call with my dad (he is using Huawei P8 Lite) yesterday evening and suddenly we both heard the beeping sound you heard when somebody is attempting to call you while you are having a phone call. We both checked our phones but there was nothing showing on our screens so we just continued. Suddenly, the call dropped and when my dad called me 10 minutes later he said that his phone just shut down and said that it's updating his software. When the phone turned on, everything was set to factory settings with all his contacts, photos, messages etc. gone. Even his SD card is wiped.
This morning, I got a message from my sister saying that bunch of her classmates had their phones (both Android phones and iPhones) wiped completely yesterday evening (around the same time as it happened to our dad) and apparently all of them were displaying message that software is updating. We found out that all phones were signed into common gmail account my sister is using with her classmates. I told her to immediately change the password to that email and sign out of it from all our devices.
Anybody has any idea what could cause this? Any advice on how to recover the lost data? My dad had his gallery synced with Google photos, it's mainly contacts that he is missing since he had over 1,5k of them and he said he did a back up of them not so long ago but the backup was on his SD card that's now empty as well.
Side note (I'm not sure if this has something to do with the issue above): I tried to log into that email account yesterday from my Macbook since I needed to download one powerpoint file from it but when trying to log in I was kicked out with a message saying that my access is denied due to multiple attempts of logging into the account (that was the first and only time I tried logging into that account). I shut down my laptop before I went to sleep yesterday. This morning, my laptop got into boot loop and was later showing message that Mac OS could not be installed on my computer because installation file is corrupted or missing. I managed to turn on my laptop but my sister said that her classmates saw that somebody from Copenhagen (where I live currently) accessed their mail and they also registered some logins from other cities all over our home country where my sister is.
TL;DR: Several phones shut down and reset itself to factory settings while saying they are updating software. All of them were signed into common email.

I have been struggling with Xiaomi to get this error corrected in my Mi account, "The phone number is already associated with another account". I have tried to register the phone so that I can get it unlocked and eventually on a better rom. Without a phone number in the account the Mi Flash unlock utility won't work. At least I think this is the problem. I have no problems making or receiving calls, but unlocking seems tied to the phone number on my Mi account. Is this correct?
When I run Mi Flash the Unlock button remains grey and unresponsive.
This issue is that when I go to my Mi Account (setup for the new phone) and then to security to add my phone number I get this error " The phone number is already associated with another account ". I have found through trying to add the number that I have a second account with Xiaomi with my phone number registered to it. Unfortunately, this second account only shows me the first two and last three numbers of the Mi account. I can't delete this account or change my phone number and am stuck at square 1.
I have been through Xiaomi support with emails every day for a week and I guesss I can't explain this well enough for them to fix it. They keep recycling the same instructions that don't work because of the second account issue. Very frustrating, because their response comes overnight and mine through the day, so only one response a day.
Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it. I'd appreciate help with this.
RESOLVED
OK, I finally resolved this via Xaomi support. I went to the Mi Account login page and clicked on "Forgot Password". Then I entered the phone number and then entered the veriication code sent via text. I got into the old account, got my account number - noted that my phone number was associated with the old account and then logged out. I then signed into this web address to delete this duplicate account - https://account.xiaomi.com/pass/del. I entered my login information and then deleted the account.
You have to be logged out of your Mi Account on the phone, or you will get an error.
After this I went in and successfully added my phone number to my Mi Account.
So simple, but it takes the right steps and you need the link to delete the account. You can't do it from your Mi account.

By editing the OP message subject? Dunno about a "Windows app", though, I'm on Firefox.
OK, got it. Thanks.

I have 5 active google accounts on this phone. Each account had a number I have never seen before all the same number. My phone has an entire month of fresh prepaid service and my data has been reset I recieve 10g a month at high speed. The phone services work just fine. My old number has been removed and the new number is working just fine. Any answers as to what the he'll is going on?
