Maybe, for OTA updates you need untouched/original system and bootloader.

copy on root internal sdcard and reboot i think
or Because it's not designed for sideload.
Rename it to PL2-3260-0-00WW-3-260-SP02-update.zip
Place it to root directory of internal storage and dial *#*#874#*#* or reboot
I'm always getting error.
Cannot install update..
no root, no custom recoveries.

Just got this OTA. Totally unexpected!
I was Rooted with TWRP Installed. So couldn't get to install it But I have captured the OTA.
Here's the link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7swCULtrdl5SW5GQkZISmdFNDQ
I'll try to Install this later this evening.
I still hope they will release VoLTE update unexpectedly!
Nice. I might stay for a while with stock until LineageOS with N blobs comes out.
installing via adb fastboot.. will notify once done

Wow! I'm slightly impressed... A new security update on the X Style.
Now if they would just roll-out Nougat to Pure. :/

download the ota files on ur pc and then store it some directory that u want
then turn off your phone and put it into bootloader mode and select recovery mode..
now here comes important step.. u need to be in stock recovery and it will be totally blank.. with a triangle Android
now keep pressing vol up and power button simultaneously..(luckily ull enter the recovery mode or it gets rebooted if done many times)
if u successful entered the recovery mode ull find 5 options or 6
1) reboot
2)applt update from sd card
3)...
.
.
.
select the option which says something sideload ( i don't remember it) and connect yours phone to pc via usb cable
u need to install adb interface for sideloading download from here..
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
after installing this.. open cmd prompt and then locate it where u stored the ota file.
and then use the following code to install the ota
adb sideload finename.zip
it will stay at 66% for 3-4 mins.. donot close the cmd window and do not disconnect the phone from pc or u may endup in softbrick
file name just copy paste and then use.zip at the end..
this are the steps to install it manually via adb sideloading
Hello! Where can I find the 7.0 stock rom that fits with that OTA? Would it run in a US Version of the XT1572? (I can see that you're running the IN version)
Thanks!

You can't... there is no "US version" of the XT1572. In the US we have the Pure which is XT1575 and it hasn't gotten Nougat yet.

Rolling update in USA
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
My phone has just finished installing this update few minutes ago.
I'm in South East Asia.
What does it actually do?
Is it really just the Bluetooth patch? Because, if it is, then the North American Pure Edition 7.0 rollout should've already addressed that. October level means that it doesn't address the WiFi vulnerability either.
I've received the update too. Got a German Motorola.
When I tried to install it, my phone rebooted into TWRP. Apparently one has to flash the original bootloader image back? Where do i get that?

You don't NEED to uninstall Magisk if you're using everything systemless, you can do like i do when i update (with OTA file of course):
0 - acquire the stock files boot.img and recovery.img;
1 - download the OTA file and copy it from /cache folder to the PC;
2 - reboot to bootloader/fastboot;
3 - flash boot.img and recovery.img with fastboot;
4 - enter stock recovery;
5 - start adb sideload;
6 - <adb sideload otafile.zip> - wait finish;
7 - *restart to bootloader* - (use the option in stock recovery);
8 - flash TWRP.img recovery file;
9 - start recovery (TWRP);
10- flash magisk.zip file;
11 - reboot to system.
It'll take a little bit more to start it but you'll lose nothing doing the update this way, i do this since NOUGAT major update and always worked flawlessly

You are already on March update and your phone didn't prompt you the new April update? That's strange. Did you try to remove the sim card and let your phone connect to WiFi only then tap on system update?

Why would I do that? Especially when that's not part of the process that you gave earlier? I think the updates are rolling out based off of carrier or some other such criteria. Not simply if you're on x-release you automatically get an update for y-release...

Keep waiting then and don't quote me.
So I just received a new security update, I don't think there's anything more than just the latest security package
same here, just 65 MB. couldn't find any new features yet.
Scrolling is definitely smoother.
It seems like booting up takes shorter time to load unlike with the previous update patches.

Well at least i am not alone in this one, hopefully Xiaomi will fix this issue and we can update it normally. Gonna follow this thread.
Especially if you've rooted, you probably have modified system or vendor partitions.
You can see what the OTA doesn't like by looking at adb.
Code:
adb logcat | grep update_engine
There's been no 10.0.14.0 fastboot image but I do have backups of these partitions I made myself. They're huge but I might be able to get them on the internet if needed...

You might want to state which version of the Face Unlock issue you're talking about, the one from the DP4 and subsequent downgrade is still there.

Yes I'm talking about the downgrade from dp4 to 10.
Let me tell you what I did,it was by mistake that I fix it.
I was on May build with face id broken,I downloaded the June ota yesterday but by mistake I choose Telstra ota the one that end with 002.A1 and face id work.
Then I realized that the build number is wrong for my phone so I tried to flash the full June build the one that end with 001 and again face id stopped working so I decided to stay with Telstra build

Best advice I could give is to first patch the boot.img when all your magisk modules have either been disabled, or removed. Then dirty fastboot, (-w removed) the factory image to your inactive slot, let it boot up, then fastboot the magisk_patched.img to both slots. Also make sure your platform-tools are up to date. Best of luck to ya :good:
