Not sure if those two issues are isolated or not...
Anyway, I'm on the nightly LineageOS 15.1 official builds these days, and I've found that recently their updates have been way more frequent, but there's nothing in them. https://download.lineageos.org/bacon/changes/
One of them recently started giving me a warning about my phone's vendor image mismatching with the HUWAWEICLT-L29. Which seems a bit off.
My other media playback issue seems to be OS independent, I know it's happened on both official and unofficial builds of LineageOS 15.1, I'm not so sure about any other roms I've tried because it's hard to recreate, but about once every few days when I try to play any audio (typically on Google Play Music) or occasionally video (on VLC), the media never plays despite the timeline and buttons all saying that it is, and the entire phone slows down, to the point where going to the recent app screen or home can take more than 5 seconds, and pressing restart or shut down does nothing. Eventually it either soft resets or I hold down the power button myself.
Does anyone have any idea what this strange behaviour could be about and any solutions?

Anyone having the same issue and have found a solution?
Phone suddenly stuck at some instances even with non-extensive usage.
Yesterday I was only using Facebook app. When messenger bubble pop up, my phone suddenly spiked. Moved once and then it got stuck already. You'll notice that it's not Facebook app only that's not functioning since nav. buttons are also stuck. You can't go press home and clear recent apps/hibernate apps. Power and volume buttons are also not functional.
So I assume the main system crashed. I only did a long press on power button to restart.
I installed Franco kernel r73, and thought that issue would only occur with stock kernel.
However, it occurred again today, I was viewing photos in Stock Photos app. I haven't started viewing the first 10 images yet, so memory should not be consuming that much. I turned on the auto rotate to view the image larger. When I turned the phone landscape, it reacted like it's about to rotate. And suddenly it got stuck. This time, power button is functional. It turns the screen on and off but it still turns to the same stuck screen, not the lock screen.
I've been experiencing this since 5.0.1. and almost everyday since I updated to 5.1.
I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue on my unit since mine is already about 1 year and a half old. I don't want to buy another phone yet!
Or is this a common issue nowadays due to Lollipop upgrade. If so, then could you provide temporary fix before they update this on 5.1.1.
Thanks a lot!
I had something similar . When I put forward the curtain hangs notice and then everything worked fine
Meh
I've seen this behavior on my Nexus 5 only on 5.1, and I'm pretty sure, it was introduced with that specific lollibug version. It's really annoying, that you have to reboot the phone every two or three days to avoid the freezes.
There's already in issue for that, it has got the ID 161032.
Hello all,
There is a consistent issue that i have been dealing with ever sense the Oreo update rolled out that I have not been able to find a solution for. At times ( watching a Youtube video/ listening to music from Spotify) media audio would begin playing from the phone as if it was ring/ notification audio. All sounds coming from the phone would get cut back in volume by a significant amount and the bottom speaker stops firing completely.
This only seems to happen once I interact with the app after starting to play the video/song (i.e i go to pause a video/ advance 10 seconds). From that point I would need to leave the app and come back for the audio to go back to normal.
As well I have been having audio video sync issues with the Youtube app that I have never dealt with before, related?
I have the US duel sim variant
I am on build number 47.1.A.5.51 , November security patch
I have tested with all audio settings on/off ( EQ, S-Force,ClearAudio+,normalizer)
I have checked the service test menu and everything is shown as calibrated.
Restarted the phone, cleared various caches for apps
I really am at a loss here, anyone else having these issues? Any possible causes/ solutions?
I had that issue on the first version of oreo... I found the latest oreo update fixed it. Maybe uninstall youtube app and reinstall again?
Were you able to fix this issue?
I have the same problem but for me it happens on all applications.
Mate 20 Pro on EMUI 10, although the issue was also there on EMUI 9
Hi all,
I have what seems to be the same issue but in Android 9 PIE, & latest build 47.2.A.10.107.
I didn´t had this issue in my Xperia XZ Premium G8141 (single SIM) , now it happens after switching to a Xperia XZ Premium G8142 (same phone, but dual SIM, same as you have).
In my case I get around opening volume controls and moving the ring and notification volume (with its slider) for some amount back and forth.
Y don´t use youtube so much (in the phone screen) then I cannot tell if it happens with youtube, but does happen in Spotify and it is very annoying to have to correct every now and then.
Then, same phone, completely different Android version, hardware problem?
Will appreciate any hints or troubleshooting tips from you guys.
When I have some time I will take a look to the kernel messages cable-connecting the phone for USB-debug.
Thanks in advance,
Take care,
Alvaro
I've experienced the same random reboots over the past few months across several roms. While on PiXeN OS (which sadly was discontinued) and OOS everything worked as intended, the reboots happened on PalladiumOS, EvolutionX and DotOS. Since the characteristics are always the same and I seem to be the only one having these issues it's probably something device specific that gets triggered by some roms.
After using PiXeN again for the past 5 months I decided to reset my phone using the msm tool to rule out any driver specific issues. Afterwards I did a clean install of DotOS and TWRP without Magisk.
I already tried safe mode, which didn't help either so it's not app related.
The reboots seem to somehow be connected to motion. They do happen when the phone is in idle and isn't moved but way less frequently (didn't happen on DotOS yet but it did happen on occasion on the other ROMs) than when it's moved. Whenever I move it my phone reboots after a while (seconds up to an hour), it seemed to happen a lot when being put in a pocket but playing around with pocket detection and wake on pickup did not fix the issue. Whenever there's sound playing the moment the phone crashes it will play a loud sound for 10 seconds without changing the pitch, afterwards the device reboots.
Any thoughts on what the issue may be?
I have had a OnePlus 9 (Model LE2115) for a few months now but it frequently crashes when using the front or rear Camera (Default Camera app, Google Lens, Signal video chat, etc.). The device will lockup with a frozen screen and after 60 seconds or so it will go black. Then I have to hold down the power & volume buttons to get it into the boot menu and perform a full power cycle. If I boot the device into safe mode this issue seems to go away so I assume its software based since everything else is working fine with the device. OnePlus support unfortunately was of little help. The crashing unfortunately does not seem to be consistent since for example I can take 10-20 photos without issue and then on the 21st picture it will fail.
Android Version: 12
Build number: LE2115_11_C.63
I have tried clearing app cache on affected software and reinstalling applications as well. The device has not been rooted and in general is mostly unmodified.
Apologies if this has been posted before but I performed several searches and could not see anyone discussing my issue.
So I've been using this phone as my daily for a while now, on the last LOS 17.1 version that was released.
Really the only issue is what I talked about in this post.
It's a shot in the dark but has anyone else experienced the same crashes? Sometimes when in the audio options, or turning on/off Bluetooth the window will freeze, yet the phone is still responsive. After a short while the phone will reset itself or you can do a power+volume down reset to restore volume/bluetooth control.
I know basically no one uses this OS any more but... worth a try.
