And this 3D isn't bad at all! have a great performance, and im waiting until GB come out to se what happen

Just disable audio on 1080p and you get higher bitrates, anyway the phone can crash or restart with this bug.
WHAT IS NOT WORKING ON RC2
Lower modes than 720P, for now only that, only 15mbps because at higher values 720P 3D and 2D dont work
if you want more bitrate, on 1080P you need to disable audio, and depending of your SD Speed you can get arround 30mbps ( due lack of 2.2 )

And no no delay, or artifacts like 2X.... At 23mbps bitrate, is the maximum at the moment, if i go higher the camera doesnt work...
Maybe the kernel, i need to check it.

What are you trying to patch?
I need to know few things about the camera, to see what i can do.
1- Cmos Module ( samsung, sony, sharp? )
2- There is any "limiter" on the driver?

the video records work bad

are you planning to change the filenames for the captured images?
would be more helpful if the filenames for the pictures used the YYYYMMDD_XXX format or YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS format.

Can you also try to see if it is possible to chance the photo aspect ratio?

Again, its posible, there is "maybe" an option to enable aspect ratio for sure ( like 2x )
but lg is weird and made a weird camera apk...

Something kind if big i forgot to mention; video playback in general is broken with this. If u try to watch any youtube video or any videobib general, all you see is a messed up live view of what ever your camera lens is pounting at.
Update: So i rebooted my phone and video playback is fine now. So it probably happens when you try to record in 3D, the camera crashes and messes up videob playback. Just reboot phone

As you may be aware that our beloved Galaxy R is not among the best cellphones out there in terms of video playback. The native video player cannot play a Full HD (1080p) video without some form of conversion/down scaling in terms of resolution and bit-rate to a format compatible with the Galaxy R. Even 3rd party video players like MX video player use s/w decoding for such unsupported videos which leads to stuttering and skipping
Galaxy R is a WVGA device ie. it has a screen resolution of 800 x 480. So a video which has been down scaled to this resolution looks best on our device. Though it can natively play some(Not all) 720p (1280 x 720) videos, such videos are a waste of free space in my opinion because Galaxy R does not support video out(MHL) nor does it have a HD screen resolution, as such that extra resolution is wasted.
Rather what I have noticed is, down scaling a video to the native device resolution (800 x 480) with a higher bit-rate gives a much more smoother video playback (equal to or even better than a 720p video). The in-built video converter that pops-up on your computer when transferring a non-compatible video does not produce videos of the best quality because of lower quality codecs used. After researching with a few video converters I have concluded that Handbrake is the best and optimum video converter for our device with superior quality codecs plus it is a freeware:good:

OR
What are the optimum settings for our Galaxy R?
1. Download the Handbrake video converter from this link.
2. Install it and open it.
3. Load the video to be converted using the Source >>> Video File button. Once loaded, Click on iPod Legacy in presets and then change the settings to resemble this: (Picture Tab)
Note: Don't forget to set the destination file name. For those of you who still want 720p videos remember to change the width and height to 1280 & 720 resp.
4. Head over to the Video Tab, change the settings to resemble this:
Note: Higher the avg bit-rate better the quality of the video. You can increase the bit-rate as per your quality choice.
5. Head over to the Audio Tab, change the settings to resemble this:
Note: Keep the bit-rate maximum for better sound quality.
6. That's it. Hit the Start button and wait for your video to be converted.
7. Transfer the converted video to your device and enjoy!!!
Note: The above settings are known to work and give optimum results.
If you are feeling more adventurous you can play with a few advanced settings like audio gain, different sound codecs, frame rates, bit-rates etc until something breaks...

It actually depends on the bit-rate that you are using. If the bit-rate is not high, then there will be a considerable size reduction. A 50 MB file would come down to 30-35 MB. But if you want higher quality...you need to up the bit-rate a bit...which leads to size increase of around 5MB per 5000Kbps.

1080p60 does not like HDR and Snapshot, it keeps causing buffer issues and force closes. I'll check the front camera after.

Nope either unfortunately. Possibly a bug in the Camera or an actual limitation. I know screenshots have definitely worked before. HDR on the S7 could be enabled for 1080p60 but couldn't handle light changes which is why I had to keep it disabled on the S7.

That 10min recording limit is definitely going

ok thanks btw I noticed aqua mode disappeared from the modes after flashing this mod (which fixed the double panorama modes) possible to get it back? I'm on Renovate ICE ROM. thank you.

When I edit a photo in photoshop/gimp anything over 80% seems the same to me...

98 > 100 is very hard to tell. I think 98 is the best compromise.
Don't forget also HDR in 4K and QHD modes !

By default my Camera did not have Aqua. Does anyone have this mode by default on their device with the stock Camera?

If you install renovate ice then you can get aqua mod. I tried finding this on samy app store but it's not there. Yes stock rom doesn't have this mod it's only custom rom specific.

Ahh, Aqua wouldn't really work as the normal S8 doesn't have an Active button to take pictures.
If there are any other modes missing you can think of, let me know as I may be able to force them.

I did mention about aqua mode, and as previous comment it's with the Renovate ICE ROM. I can take pictures with the volume buttons and with the Bixby button as I remapped it to launch camera and take pics.

Nice finding at Sharpness and Denoise Setting. That looks very promising to me.
From what i see in utube videos, camera images tend to look very HDR overpainted. It would be very cool to find some controls to reduce this artificial look. Or to increase contrast by default in photos. But it may depend on Auto HDR setting in Camera settings...
I will stay tuned to check things out. And your project here, of course.?

I may have found a bug and wondering whether 8.1.00.13 needs the latest rom BRG6.
I'm currently on BRF8, when I try Super Slow Motion on Manual mode it freezes on saving video.
Anyone else getting this?

This camera mod version looks buggy. Building magisk module outputs 0byte zip file.
Edit: build was successful after phone reboot but still experiencing black screen and camera error.

This broke my camera and reinstalling my rom (cache/dalvik wipe only) soldier 6.0 still doesn't fix. Restored camera from TiB, still FC. I need my camera back so what do I do? I really don't want to do a full wipe of the device!
Using the app to restore the camera doesn't work either.

FYI. Mod works without any issue if you select stock Samsung Gallery when flashing Soldier's BRG6 rom.
Edit: except super slow motion manual mode.

Can you please tell us what's going on with the black camera screen and fc issues. I bought the app, modded the camera on a rom based on stock and had this issue.
it would've been very helpful if the restore stock camera option actually worked.
