if you want more bitrate, on 1080P you need to disable audio, and depending of your SD Speed you can get arround 30mbps ( due lack of 2.2 )

And no no delay, or artifacts like 2X.... At 23mbps bitrate, is the maximum at the moment, if i go higher the camera doesnt work...

What are you trying to patch?
I need to know few things about the camera, to see what i can do.
1- Cmos Module ( samsung, sony, sharp? )
2- There is any "limiter" on the driver?
the video records work bad
are you planning to change the filenames for the captured images?
would be more helpful if the filenames for the pictures used the YYYYMMDD_XXX format or YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS format.
Can you also try to see if it is possible to chance the photo aspect ratio?

Again, its posible, there is "maybe" an option to enable aspect ratio for sure ( like 2x )
but lg is weird and made a weird camera apk...

Something kind if big i forgot to mention; video playback in general is broken with this. If u try to watch any youtube video or any videobib general, all you see is a messed up live view of what ever your camera lens is pounting at.
Update: So i rebooted my phone and video playback is fine now. So it probably happens when you try to record in 3D, the camera crashes and messes up videob playback. Just reboot phone

When HTC and Samsung came out with burst camera in their quad core devices we were all excited by one of the camera feature "Burst shot mode"
But now thanks to Spritefish we can now have the same experience on our Android devices and you don't need to have the One X or S3
Fast Burst Camera has made its way onto the Play Store and it does exactly what we were looking for. Simply hold down the button and you can snap up to 30 frames in a single second if your device allows it. The free version works just fine, but has a few ads which can seem intrusive. For $4, you can buy the pro version which unlocks some additional features such as auto-focus and lighting settings. View the video below to see some real life experiences with the application and see if it could help you take some neat shots.

With that kind of pic resolutions, I might be better off by just shooting a video and extracting those frames manually afterwards.
Used the app on my galaxy note, I am amazed by its ability. Just the image quality needs improvement. I tried the lite version though, anyone see any difference in the pro version?
When I read the portal news piece I was anticipating a tool to take rapid fire full resolution pics. While my G2X doesn't have a dedicated camera processing chip but it is still a dual core Tegra phone. I was disappointed to continue reading and discover it was about an app I've had on my phone for nearly a year. Don't get me wrong, I really like the app but it wasn't what I was expecting. Kinda bummed because the stock ROM camera software was pretty good and could do six photo bursts at 2MB but the ROM sucked monkey balls. Still recommend fast bust camera a long a you have plenty of light.

lower the resolution and it wont lag
and that app is made for high quality devices
The burst speed is incredible, no lag but the resolution is very low (800*480 insead of 2000*1600)

Yeah 800*480 with no lag really isn't impressive nowadays and the pictures are useless at that resolution.
Nice app. It would be great if we could adjust the shutter speed manually.

Note that this will give you a bad result, as the video is compressed and ripping pictures from this compressed stream will give pictures with compression artifacts in them.

This app was the free app of the day on Amazon last year, it is in no way new.
I used it for a while but image quality is not the best. Improve image quality and I may be tempted to give it another try.

you can enable 1280X720 in preferances->advanced and clicking on allow high resolutions
i get lag and quaility is a little low
Tempted to buy but not being able to test a proper res with focus is a bit dud.

This is a bug (or a feature?) from LG. Restart the device and hopefully the files will appear when you explore your phone from PC.
From my practice, if you change the 'save to' folder to a folder inside your DCIM folder, it will sync immediately.
Let me know if it worked...

yes, well worth it for this feature alone :laugh:
just don't expect miracles in low light since G2's tiny sensor can't handle it and it's super noisy, obviously (there's always room for some editing though). but in good lighting conditions it's glorious.

Wondering though (and not meaning to be a jerk asking this ) but are the changes actually visible?
Big shout out and thanks to @zeroprobe who made this possible. Based this mod on his tweaks.
Features:
- Bitrate 1080p = 40mBit/s
- Bitrate 720p = 40mBit/s
- Bitrate Slow Motion = 60mBit/s
- Object Tracking + HDR + Effects for 1080p_60fps, QHD and UHD
- Phase Detection AF for 1080p_60fps
- Zoom in Slow Motion
- Removed unnecessary Pro-Lite Mode [No more doubled "pro" option in camera modes]
- Removed Stickers
- JPG Quality 98%
Installation:
- Clear Data and Cache of the Camera App
- Make a BACKUP
- Install the zip from TWRP
- Check if second pro-mode option is gone to verify the install
Installation [ODEX / Renovate]:
- Go to data/app/ and delete the "com.sec.android.app.camera-1" folder
- Reboot into TWRP - flash the zip
- Go to system/priv-app/SamsungCamera7 and install the .apk
Disclaimer:
This is tested on a Galaxy S7 Flat running KHONGLOI S8 Port. This does NOT work for S7 roms as the camera app is different. It MAY run on the S8 but since I dont have the money to upgrade I cant test it.
I had working 1080p Slow motion on the Galaxy S7 Camera but can not get it to work with the new version. Still working on that.

Let me make some suggestions:
- There is no reason to increase 1080p to 80mbit/s, because you won't see any more details than on 30mbit/s which seems the culprit (default is 17mbit/s)
- Slow motion modded to 240fps on 1080p sounds promising but you miss to tell us the bitrate
- JPG quality at 100% will only double the size of the pictures taken but do not eliminate any loss in detail <- this is only produced due to aggressive postprocessing (oversharpening). Set it to 98% instead and you will have smaller files with identical quality to 100% (default is 96%)
- Maybe you will find a switch in the apk to turn off postprocessing completely (for taking pictures), then we will be able to take jpeg in raw quality and just had to eliminate noise on high ISO
- Maybe you should try to get S8 camera apk running on our S7. This will be interesting due to new (real) HDR mode

Sadly can not get 1080p slow motion working anymore on the new camera. Seems like they linked the resolutions to fps somehow.

Thanks for you mod dude, BTW do you think that's possible remove the horrendous post-processing effect on frontal camera (even with all beauty **** tuned off you can see some makeup effect)

i have released it on telegram channels(Superman and darkSide) as for now, got even aqua mode make it working, and added in settings quick launch with home(removed useless power)
I will release it here maybe tomorrow or on saturday.... works only on Superman tho, due to framework.jar mods

1080p60 does not like HDR and Snapshot, it keeps causing buffer issues and force closes. I'll check the front camera after.

Nope either unfortunately. Possibly a bug in the Camera or an actual limitation. I know screenshots have definitely worked before. HDR on the S7 could be enabled for 1080p60 but couldn't handle light changes which is why I had to keep it disabled on the S7.
That 10min recording limit is definitely going

ok thanks btw I noticed aqua mode disappeared from the modes after flashing this mod (which fixed the double panorama modes) possible to get it back? I'm on Renovate ICE ROM. thank you.

When I edit a photo in photoshop/gimp anything over 80% seems the same to me...

98 > 100 is very hard to tell. I think 98 is the best compromise.
Don't forget also HDR in 4K and QHD modes !
Anyone know what determines Camera Modes, someone here mentioned they had Aqua mode?
By default my Camera did not have Aqua. Does anyone have this mode by default on their device with the stock Camera?

If you install renovate ice then you can get aqua mod. I tried finding this on samy app store but it's not there. Yes stock rom doesn't have this mod it's only custom rom specific.

Ahh, Aqua wouldn't really work as the normal S8 doesn't have an Active button to take pictures.
If there are any other modes missing you can think of, let me know as I may be able to force them.

I did mention about aqua mode, and as previous comment it's with the Renovate ICE ROM. I can take pictures with the volume buttons and with the Bixby button as I remapped it to launch camera and take pics.
