I bought a real S4, but wasn't informed that it had custom recovery installed. The first time I tried to update, it rebooted to recovery. I didn't know what any of that was. So, here I am spending all my free time learning about android system modification. NOT what I asked for
Best to buy from a trusted source where you can actually go back to return item if it has a problem. Buy from a well known retailer and you will not have these problems.
The title says it all.
I need a new battery for my redmi 2 and really don't know where to order it :/ it needs to be a good seller and original(or better) battery.

I have had my s8+ for 2 weeks now and i just found out recently that sometimes, it shows some white lines ( i think there were some pink and green ones aswell ) on the top part of the screen. They used to show up while watching movies/Youtube videos and last night i saw them on the home screen and in the settings ( this time they were black ). I googled the problem and there was no one complaining about it. I just hope its a software problem as i do not have waranty nor money to get another phone.
What could be the problem? Thank you in advance.

Why would you not have a warranty? They are covered for one year for defects.

The phone was not bought from a store but from someone who got it and didnt want it so i got it cheaper. It wad brand new though ( but didnt have waranty )
Contact Samsung. As long as it's not user inflicted, those kind of defects are factory covered.
Regardless of where you bought it.

Shouldn't matter. Who's your carrier? I had an LG G2 I bought used many years ago that developed a screen problem, Verizon replaced it no questions asked.

You should contact Samsung customer support.
Definitely if you are in the UK they just use your manufacture date plus 3 months as proof of warranty.

Well...i am not from UK. There are no stores in here that will just take my phone and fix it. All i wanted to know is if anyone had this problem and if its a software problem or the display itself...
sounds like a display issue, usually bad connection or faulty display driver (hardware driver), only fix is new screen

Your device very likely has a hardware problem. This won't get better, and may deteriorate. With that said, it's also very likely that Samsung will repair it for you at no cost. But you'll likely be without a phone for two to four weeks. I'd suggest contacting Samsung, then making arrangements to get by while your phone is gone. Pick up a used device somewhere?
Even if the phone was from the UK or somewhere else (not stolen) you could get this fixed by calling Samsung. If you continue to say you can't contact Samsung all I can surmise from that is that you obtained the phone illegally. EU Warranty is 2 years you have definitely got warranty.

Hi everyone. I'm thinking on buying this phone, or maybe the Moto G8 Power. Is the Fusion' BL unlockeable? The version is xt2073-2.
Another question. My biggest doubt is about the display resolution againts G8 Power. Is 720x1600 from fusion good enough for reading?
Any advise?
Thanks a lot.

As long as it's not carrier branded,
Like Verizon, At&t... It should be able to unlock the bootloader

I strongly advice against unlocking this phone in particular, i just did and it broke completely, also, i see you're postin from Argentina, i'd say don't break it since movistar tech service aint takin any phone back even if it's brand new, GL.

Hi. I finally bought the g8 power xt2041-1. Your advice is about the fusion or the g8? I got it from Fravega, but the warranty is only from motorola. I don't know if unlocking BL / bricking ends the warranty.

Yes please, come back and tell us how your case ends. The guy from Fravega said I have ten days to test the phone. After that, he said I have one year warranty from motorola. I don't know hoy to contact them in case I need. It seems I'm gonna wait a long time and read a lot before I try to touch the BL. Good luck.

Well, this is how it developed, i did contact the manufacturer tech support and they did take the device for rapairs, said the phone motherboard was faulty and did replace it and returned it working within 5 days, all very swifty and straightforward, coming from Motorolla, they did not, either notice or cared if i touched the bootloader, so i dont know..

Hi, I purchased a Samsung S22U on Facebook a month ago and the phone got locked by Samsung this morning, saying it was "lost in transit or a trade-in device was never received". Samsung doesn't seem to care and won't even look at all the pictures and messenger conversation I have.
I haven't flashed ROMs or rooted a phone in a decade, but I used to be very familiar with it. Will flashing a custom ROM bypass Samsung's lock on the device, or do you know another method to get around this? This has become a very expensive paperweight. Running multiple IMEI checkers, it doesn't seem to be blacklisted.

So exactly how long you bought it until now? As I know, Samsung allows only 15 days from the day when the previous owner received his phone for trade-in program. After 15 days, they will lock it immediately. Here you said a month ago.

I picked up the phone from the guy on June 24th, but didn't activate it until yesterday or the day before. Thought I wanted an Iphone for macro photos, but bought a digital camera instead.

ok, so it's weird because it exactly 1 month from the day you bought it. How much you paid for it?

Yeah, not sure if that's because I waited forever to activate or what. I paid $800, but he had it listed for $900.
You need to contact the person you bought it from. Samsung can't do anything to help you since you didn't buy it from them.

The seller doesn't care, it's meant to be a scam. He's just ignoring my messages. I think I found a way to fix it, but it's going to cost me a little. Seems to be reliable though

Nah, it's a legit business. Hundreds of reviews, thousands of followers, dozens of videos dating eight years back. Can't believe I found it, but it's legit. Talked to the guy on the phone. The real question is: Will the fix last during updates.

So... Phone works great for the most part. Two things can't be done: System updates and using smart switch for data transfer. Otherwise, it is fully functional

If you're still interested, let me know. As said above, you can't do system updates and the smart switch won't work, but otherwise it's fully functional. They are working on the update part, but it's not possible yet

Yeah, sorry. I stopped logging into this forum. I also just bought a new phone since I couldn't risk a random nighttime update causing me to lose stuff. Here is the guy... Tell him I sent you. It won't get you any discount or anything, but maybe he will remember me too eventually haha https://www.facebook.com/MNMobileGuy
