Google Photos backup issues - Honor 5X Themes, Apps and Mods

My Google Photos app is stuck at a "Getting your photos" prompt. It's not backing up my photos.
I can access all of my photos and albums on GPhotos through the app without any issues.
I can upload photos to Google Photos by selecting the photos, and "Share via Google Photos". So the upstream connection to GPhotos is working
What I have tried
GPhotosBackup & Sync enabled
Cellular Data backup enabled
Battery optimization for GPhotos turned-off
Clear both cache & data
Removed the app and reinstalled it
Removed the Google account and re-added it
Remove all camera photos from the phone, reformatted the SD card and started fresh
Re-installing the app from XDA Labs instead of Google Play (https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/com.google.android.apps.photos)
The only remaining options are a factory reset, restore a nandroid backup, or flash the ROM again.

Try seeing if the Backup happens keeping phone on charge and the GPhotos App open.

I tried that, but no luck. So I flashed the ROM again and started from scratch. Was still facing the same issue. Then I added another Gmail ID I have and it was syncing without any issues. So whatever the problem is, it is some sort of a setting with my primary Gmail ID. Its forever stuck in "Getting your photos..." prompt.

Titanium backup: restore email settings in ARHD

Hello,
I had ARHD 3.2 and I upgraded to 3.4.
I must do a wipe, because the tablet reboot continuously.
I restored all my apps (backupped with Titanium).
I have a problem with the email client: my email account has been vanished!
I have 5 email account, each with its own configuration, it's very frustrating to reconfigure all!
Regards.
It's very likely gone, you can try restoring again, but most likely gone. Titanium glitches for me sometimes if apps store data in a weird location, maybe this is the case?
Make sure full backup of the app is always checked, too.
It was probably stored in a different location and not backed up.

I tried many times, with no good result.
I have a widget (from asus) that display unread emails, when I restore the email apps the counter says 6 email, when I open the email app, It load about 10 seconds (more than usual) and propose me the wizard to add new email account, and the count come backup to 0.
The apps is the default android email client, i restore only the data because is a system app.

Google Sync and Contacts Crash

Hello,
I am using a Samsung Infuse running Gingerbread (2.3.6) and Ethereal's ROM v1.4. I am having a pretty major problem that I cannot seem to fix, so I will go into detail in the hopes that someone will be able to help me.
My phone will go into a complete freeze state if Google attempts to sync my contacts, requiring me to remove the battery for a reboot. I had it turned off for a brief period of time (and auto updates/background app updates are still turned off in the "Accounts and Sync" settings) but it has started to sync after each OS reboot. I can probably use my phone for a few seconds before the sync kicks in and locks my phone.
I believe my contact storage system on my phone is majorly corrupt in the worst kind of way. I come to this conclusion because I am completely unable to create new contacts, even after force closing/stopping all contact running processes. I am pretty stumped as to how/why this happened and what to do to fix it.
Can one of you awesome peeps help me out with this issue? It would be much appreciated.
Go to recovery and wipe cache and dalvic...see if that helps (shouldn't delete any apps or saved data)
If not then wipe everything and re flash your from (will delete all apps and there saved data)
If still doesnt help then go back to stock using heimdal or Odin (will delete all apps and their saves data)

Cache wiping does not work, unfortunately. I tried again as you suggested and it did not work again.
I appreciate your suggestions, but I did know these options. Every problem can be fixed through a reflash, but this is an absolute last resort and I would rather know if there was a solution to the problem itself. It is just one little application causing this mess and I would rather hate to lose all of my data.
Thanks!
Have you tried Settings - Apps - All - Contacts Force stop and then clear data?
That should wipe out any locally stored data and allow for a refresh from any accounts you have (gmail, exchange, etc.)

That did not work either, one of the first things I tried.
I ended up being able to buy myself enough time to sync my calendar, download my contacts to my SIM card, then do a factory reset after backing up my other data. Oh well =\

[Q] All apps, contacts, data deleted automatically after every reboot?

[Q] Unable to backup photos on Google Photos

I have the international SM-G920I version of the S6, running the latest 5.1.1 update.
Recently, it has started giving me issues in the Google Photos app. I am unable to back up any photos. When I go open the app and go to the Assistant tab, it always shows "Backing up 1 item out of XX". When I go to the "Backup & Sync" settings of the app, I get constant toast notifications saying "Backing up 1 out of XX". I factory reset my phone and tried again, however the issue persists. I am able to upload photos onto Google Photos using my computer, so it does not seem to be an issue in my Google account. Has anyone else faced this issue on their phone? What can I do to get rid of this issue?
Reinstall Google Photos.

I tried that and it didn't work. I also factory reset my phone, yet the issue persists.
Might be a network or server issue...

I am able to upload to Google Photos using the same wifi network, on my laptop. So it doesn't seem to be a network or server issue.
I had a similar issue. I deleted the data from the app (similar to reinstalling) and it went away. However, if you have done a factory reset thats a bit weird.... Sorry cant help more.

Google photos not syncing/updating

Hey all, hope you can assist.
I installed Google photos on the hn10 8g as part of the setup.
It does its initial sync and uploads photos to the cloud on first opening of the app, but on subsequent opening the app it is eternally stuck on "getting ready to backup" and never changes.
Turning off and on backup, clear cache, clear data, rebooting, forcing close doesn't fix it.
I've checked all permissions and battery setting; opened and trusted all options for the photos app.
The only fix seems to be uninstalling and reinstalling, setting permissions and it works and uploads for the first load, then breaks again....
Any direction appreciated for a fix!
