Started doing some watchfaces on Gear Watch Designer and im loving the Program. Just need some more features like weather, phone battery indicator,...
Anyway. some of you may already know my watchfaces because ive been seeing downloads rise everyday thank you for that

When will the English speaking countries use 24h (military time) and metric system, like the rest of the world?

Great one with the Division Watchface .. wait on the game as well. If you can swap away the logo on top I think it will be meaybe more perfect
Just my opinion.
Can you maybe implement a version with analog style as well ? Not just digital ?
Maybe it will be as well more division style if you can create a little bit thicker outline if you see everywhere the wallpapers and screenshots from game and the orange button on the shoulder of the "soldiers"

Due to popular demand, created a 12h version of Future Health watch face
Carbon S Class updated with:
- Weather icon shortcut (does not show actual weather. its only a shortcut button)
- Added a logo
- Corrected color of stepps goal achievement. Now it will correctly turn green when goal is acheived
Carbon S Class 24 updated with: (the same as the other)
- Weather icon shortcut (does not show actual weather. its only a shortcut button)

I currently reside in the same country as you but am originally from the UK where 24h format is pretty much the norm! Measurements we use a mix of all 'tis very confusing to non-natives :cyclops:

Samsung is taking too much time to approve it on store. Dont know why. Its now with the message "Test Confirmation Delayed" dont know why.
Its free, i mention that Ubisoft has registered trademarks on The Division name and logos, so dont really see the problem. there is already another division watchface at store
Waiting patiently for it to be approved
but looks like this on my watch

that's nice man! sorry to bother you but can you teach me how were you able to change the font of the time to like that? Font style has been one of my problems in the GWD

Easy just copy the .ttf font file to C:\Program Files (x86)\GearWatchDesigner\font
For Blue health watch face, i made the font in photoshop. used some effects and saved each number as a .png file, and then on gear watch designer you have the option to select Bitmap font and choose each image for each letter. harder but you can make nicer fonts

Defilmirz Watchface - free

Hi,
I've finally managed to publish my free Defilmirz watchface on Samsung apps.
IMHO it is an interesting idea because it is very customizable with a settings app on the phone (Android) side.
Since it is free, I assume it is legal to mention it here. If I'm wrong, please let me know.
The watchface is accessible on Samsung Apps with name "Defilmirz"
Please let me know if you have any interesting idea to add on this watchface. I will try to add anything requested which is possible within my capabilities.

Very nice especially with phone color config. Very very.... annoying all this faces wich change color as soon as you fingers tap the screen What a shame that don not works also on S2

I just uploaded a version for S2. Once the Samsung testers approve it , you can get it for your S2.

1. The center where the hands meet is an odd grey that looks like a dirty screen. I don't know what to change it to, but other faces address it.
2. the second color only sticks on the always on screen. when the screen is on, the entire second color section is a significantly lighter color and not what I would ever want to look at.

I have published another version of the watchface. It is called "Defilmirz F"
It has the same concept and features. Just a different organization of the screen.

Thanks for your feedback. I would like to fix what you've seen as a problem.
But I need some clarification and ideas;
1. I could put a static imaghe on the center. Like a dot or circle. Would that be nice ? What color it should be ? Black ?
2. The second color is used for the background of the digital information. But over that part I added a transparent and shiny layer which makes the color lighter. Now if I remove that layer, the shiny light effect will be gone. Maybe I can try to change the effect to be darker.
Meanwhile, as a workaround, you can try to select the color darker.

Having a few more days to play with various watch faces, I can appreciate the artistic challenge of two designs that need to compliment each other and the technical challenge of AOD battery consumption and interacting with the various APIs.
That said, when I look at a bunch of faces, the center painting is made easier by decreasing rings for each hand. The stock Blue Pop does it well. By avoiding solid areas, you can mix in the background color (black). Look at enough and you'll see.
The white overlay now makes sense. I'm too type A to suggest color tuning. There's a happy solution there somewhere.
I do like the companion app that takes us away from Samsung's software. I think there is some real power to be had.

Just installed this and looks great but unfortunately steps count is not showing.

it starts from 0 when you load/reload the face. Then you have to walk/run to make a positive number.
if that doesn't work for you , then you might have stopped the generic step count feature of the watch. Please enable it in S Health.

thanks four your detailed feedback and compliments. I'll try to do my best to fix what you've pointed out. But I am on vacation starting tomorrow. I hope I'll be able to fix it after 9-10 days.

I'm loving this watch face, but the time shown is an hour behind. Is there a time zone setting I'm not seeing in the companion app?

I've found the problem and fixed it. But Samsung validation team has to approve it before you can get it.

Still not avalaible for S2 (july 21)

Pretty cool. Almost all the information I want access to on a watchface without a bunch of extras.
Some ideas to consider or not:
- Tasker compatibility to use a dynamic variable as the scrolling text (could be a reminder, appointment, or anything... limitless possibilities)
- temperature
- tap icon to open battery/health/weather/etc

these are all good ideas. specially I liked the Tasker integration. But I don't know how to write a tasker plugin. Do you have any source on that ?
temperature would be nice, but which source should be used ? getting from weather.com or any other weather information site like wunderground ?
I assume there is no temperature sensor on the Gear S2 or S3 (?)
icon to open battery/health is easy. but it could affect the user experience in a bad way. (unwillingly touching the screen)

Regarding Tasker, start here. The plug in would be for your phone companion app of course, with the goal of the "scrolling text" field to accept a tasker variable.
I use the wunderground api in my apps and just parse out what I need. You could technically grab a hundred different items and offer your users the choice, but temp would be good enough for me.

I've checked the Tasker developer resources, but could not find an easy way to integrate it in my app. They shared the sdk from some other app vendor named twofourtyfouram and it is in Gradle format for Android studio which I don't use. (I am still developing in Eclipse)
Anyway I tried to migrate the SDK to Eclipse but it has references to other libraries from the same vendor (twofourtyfouram) and they are missing.
So I am looking for a ready sdk to use in Eclipse.

timezone issue has been fixed and update is published by Samsung.

that's very easy to implement. but do you really prefer it ?

Here i will try to make the watch face on request once a week in my free time.(As I am working as a 3D Artist)

This is the Background. I'd like the circle at the top smaller but its part of the img file and would also like a way to add a silver raised trim around it.

First of all congrats for the Hublot Big Bang face !!! Really great
I have a real one (lucky me) with a complete dark (black) backgroung and I tried to modify your backgroung manualy to get the same effect but with a poooor result.
Could you please be so kind to make one with a black dark backgroung (instead of the squared pattern) ?
And could you please just let me know how you handled the calendar numbers at the bottom right small window of your watch face as there is no correponding ressources image in the posted zip file ?

Would you be able to make a replica of the Nike+ Sport watchface? I can't seem to find one that has the information I'd like on the screen.
Something like this, only steps where the Nike tick is, keep the activity rings in the middle and calories where the weather is. Maybe change last run to the day and date?

Anyone capable of making a watch face with AOD seconds hand/ motion just like the ones that come with the watch?
This is what truly makes a watch just like a real one.

I am obviously not clued in on how you are designing watch faces. So please forgive me for asking this question: How do I install this watch face to my Gear S3 Frontier? What app are you using to upload this watch face to Gear S3? Thank you and again forgive my ignorance.

I did some research and discovered that I could make the watch using the graphics that you supplied using the Mr Timemaker website and apps. The website's watchmaking application did not allow me to upload the sub_hand that you supplied. I was able to transfer the watch to my Gear S3 Frontier, but like I said it doesn't have the sub_hands. Thus I am having to ask my previous question what app did you use to compile this custom watch face and transfer it to your watch? Thank you!

Hi i know this is an old thread but i just got the watch...anyway you could help me out with cartier faces i cant seem to find them anywhere. Maybe the ronde solo de cartier , calibre de cartier or ballon blue. I could donate for this...Thanks a lot.

I am looking for this watch face but to be modified... Instead of the weather app icon in the bottom right I would prefer it to be the "find my phone" quick access. And instead of the floor counter in the top left I would like a real-time weather icon... Obviously the design can't be identical but a similiar design with colour options would be great. I can like the watchface for reference if needed

Check a small tutorial of uploading its very easy.

Question Minimum face options

Does anyone know why the watch faces are so limited for the Galaxy watch 4? It seems odd that they didn't have more developers working on these before the release. For me, looks like only a total of 30. Am I missing something?

Wear os isn't that popular in my understanding but since this watch is using it I'm willing to bet that more devs will transition working on wear os instead of tinzen watch faces

Now seeing alot of familiar faces in Facer!

You can install Facer and Watchmaker and have a LOT more than only 30 Watchfaces. Plus the possibility to create a watchface by yourself.

I imagine as time goes by there will be a lot more. There were a lot of great faces on Tizen and some of those developers are doing Wear faces now. My favorite developer for Tizen faces (Matteo Dini) has actually done quite a few.

I have only been able to install these from Browser on PC for some reason. When you buy one it gives you choice of what to install it to. I have the Classic which is "Samsung SM-R890".
I suspect there are a lot more Wear faces out there as well but I really have not looked. I pretty much use MD faces exclusively.

Be careful with facer it drinks battery life...on your phone and watch

Not all that glitters is gold! I have a Watch 4 Classic 46mm. I haven't tried watchmaker yet, but I have tried FACER and MR TIME. On Facer, it's pretty much all pay-as-you-go, or hourly demo versions, or you can sign up for a paid subscription. Even getting the ads out of the app requires you to pay. The completely free watch faces are very few and not even that nice, but what's worse is that the values returned by the pedometer, heart rate, temperature, etc are all wrong in the free apps I've tried. I ended up uninstalling the app.
MR TIME gave me sync problems between app and smartwatch (companion app and on smartwatch regularly installed) and it's also very similar, but slightly inferior to FACER, so I uninstalled it too.
I then tried to find other Watch Face on the Google store, but it's all strictly paid. I tried installing a few demo apps, but it wouldn't display the pedometer, heart rate and other sensors. I wrote to the developer asking why. He replied that I need to enable "complications". Thanks, I answered that, complications can only be enabled after purchasing the watch face, they are among the "PREMIUM ONLY" otions. In other words, the only thing left really to try for free is the time display
The Galaxy Store was and is great, both for structure and content, at the moment it was a huge loss for me to go from the Active 2 to the Watch 4 Classic as far as the store is concerned. We'll see what will happen in the future...

I only use Watchmaker. Facer has to much ads and payments and abo for me.
For watchmaker I only payed (i think 5 EUR) one time. Sure you can also make abo etc. but I prefer to use my own made Watchfaces. So no more money to pay and right now my watch I got 72 % battery since today morning (6 o'clock) with activated AOD (shows time digital and analog).
The watchface shows time, date, steps, calendar, weather and battery and even has shortcuts to 2 apps.
I've made a few more (copys) of existing watches or watchfaces. That's enough for me.

For watchmaker I only payed (i think 5 EUR) one time. Sure you can also make abo etc. but I prefer to use my own made Watchfaces. So no more money to pay and right now my watch I got 72 % battery since today morning (6 o'clock) with activated AOD (shows time digital and analog).
The watchface shows time, date, steps, calendar, weather and battery and even has shortcuts to 2 apps.
I've made a few more (copys) of existing watches or watchfaces. That's enough for me.

Nice watch face. For your use, you may be better off with the Galaxy Watch Studio

Don't like the Studio. Tried it but it is full of bugs. Weather is missing, Complications doesn't show correctly at the watch etc.

I have tried watchmaker just now. For my use, I don't intend to create my own watch faces, at least for the moment, it's even worse than the other apps tried before: every time I go back, or touch something inside the app, a screen of ads appears and fills the entire display. There are just 10 free watch faces, but they're horrible.
All that's left to do is wait and see how the situation evolves. The transition to Wear OS it's a strong and bad hit for those who, like me, comes from Tizen and Galaxy Store.

There are a lot more than 10 free faces. Like hundreds to thousands. You can find them outside of the app at different sites and on reddit. I think you need to use the paid version of the app ($5 or $7 or something), but, before you complain, that's less than 2 cups at Starbucks or less than a lunch at McDonald's for something you'll potentially look at on and off for hours a day. And it's one time. (I see people complain about non-free apps too often. Sorry!)

So I should do as you say everywhere, 5€ here, 7€ there, another 5€ on another site and so on, with closed box, that is without knowing what I'm buying? No thanks.
And If they are of the same quality as the ones I tried...blurp, anyone would be disappointed.
Another thing to consider is battery consumption.
How beautiful was the Galaxy Store ... I was tempted to sell the watch 4 and go back to the previous model for the complete absence of a dedicated market, as instead has Tizen and I'm not the only one to think this ... But it's still early, we'll see how this new Series 4 evolves.

~~~ What is this about...? ~~~​I started a hobby of making watchfaces using watch face studio, and I kind of find it very relaxing to be honest and so I made few watchfaces, I'd build them whenever I wanna de-stress so it's kinda a win-win situation where I make something and you guys can enjoy using by getting them from playstore...
I plan to release a watchface every week or two, they will show as pre-registration first before rolling out, because I love to give some excitement to you guys and myself when you guys pre-register lol...
I have no plans on putting ads, subscriptions, data collection or charges, it will be just a watchface you install and enjoy...
I hope none of you would be disappointed, I'm always eager to listen to your feedbacks...
But don't forget, these watchfaces were created using WatchFaceStudio, so the complications in the watchface are limited to the watch alone...

​I go by the developer name GeminiMan. How I came up with it...? Honestly, I kept thinking of a name, and I wanted it to be unique and maybe artistic or inspiring. Then I remembered my previous developer name was TheGeminiBros from college days with my friend. He was a Gemini too, and best thing, I was born on 3rd of June and he was on 4th of June. We were besties like bros, but life decided to split our paths, anyway, that's where it hit me, I can be GeminiMan, and I was thinking of logo designs and made the simplest design that I believe looks neat...

I did state the watchfaces are developed using WatchFaceStudio, if I developed it using Android studio, I could make things more flexible in such the user can remove any of the complications on the screen...
Otherwise, they're there, I believe the user can customize things and remove it or put an app shortcut but can't change it into things like weather, phone battery and so...
I didn't do that, I just kept it as static, the only changes a user can do is changing colors...

I did mention that it seems to be playstore bug, you can open the link in a browser, you can search playstore for geminiman on your phone or watch, they will show up...
