Problem: I unblocked my Moto g4 running Nougat and installed the latest version of twrp; everything was going well. Then I rooted my phone and installed superSU using twrp --- That is when the problem began and I can no longer boot into my regular system. Everytime my phone boots it boots into twrp recovery mode -
I used these two guides to do this:

What can I do to simply boot up into my regular Nougat system?

When you flashed SuperSU, did you wipe cache and dalvik/ART cache in TWRP?
Did you accidentally wipe your system partition? If so, you have no OS to boot into, on this case, you'll have to flash a custom ROM for your model number or a modified TWRP flashable zip of your stock firmware.
If these things don't work then you've corrupted something, are you certain that you unlocked your device correctly? Are you certain that you covered all the bases for rooting your device?

I think I might have corrupted something- In the meantime I flashed the original stock ROM that I got with the device - which was Marshmallow 6.0 but now I can't update back to 7.0. I flashed 6.0 because I couldnt find any official 7.0 ROMS for my Moto g4. Thanks for your response! If you have any idea why I can't update please let me know!

That question is better answered by asking in the G4 forum, I'm not familiar enough with your device hardware/software specifics.

On the thread you posted , it talks about a Samsung AntiRoot Removal Kit no idea what is that .......
Was the rom rooted before trying Magisk?
Can you get into TWRP?
Did you flashed Magisk successfully?
From Magisk support thread
Bootloop
If you end up in a bootloop when installing Magisk, run the uninstaller script in recovery, flash a clean boot image (the uninstaller restores a copy of the untouched boot image, so this step is “just in case”) and start over. If the uninstaller fails, just flash your unmodified copy of the boot image and you should be good to go. There’ll probably be some leftover files and folders from Magisk laying around in /cache and /data, but these can be removed manually.
First make sure your system can boot up without Magisk.
Boot to recovery and install Magisk. Boot up your system without installing any modules. Also see "Module causing issues" below.
If your system bootloops again and you're using a custom kernel, try starting over without installing that kernel. If there's still a bootloop your system might just not be compatible. One possibility is to try finding another custom kernel that is compatible. Also see "Nothing works!" below.
Try to flash Magisk again , if everything fail as we really do not know what the Samsung antiroot removal file did , you may have to start fresh all over . I mean flash stock rom again and do it all over . If you decide to do so . Check this thread use it as a guide , in order to avoid losing your data ( factory reset) use home_csc instead of CSC file but it must be same as the one you have now, you know it?
After your pone boots normally , use this guide to install TWRP
Follow steps 1 -9 exactly at 10 use Magisk instead of SuperSu , with Magisk Dm verity file is not necessary
Hello Friends,
I have an HTC desire 650, not dual sim, runs Marshmallow 6.0.1, I have already unlocked the bootloader using manufacturer's instructions, I tried to root with kingoroot, it fails every time, the phone is not bricked and restarts as it should, processor is qualcom snapdraagon 400 1.59 Ghz, model MSM8926, kernek architecture is armv7I, kernerk version is 3.4.0-pref-g1429477, I post the kernel because I saw a 2015 post on this site that for 6.0.1 requires to modify the kernel in order to root, and I have not found any more information on this matter,
Thank you,
$am

I've built a TWRP recovery for this model long time ago, but I do not have the device to test it, and here is my latest build.
https://github.com/sabpprook/twrp_b...ownload/1.0.0/twrp-3.2.1-0-a17_unofficial.img
Try boot this TWRP, it will prevent to modify your recovery partition.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp-3.2.1-0-a17_unofficial.img
If boot command not work, you must flash it.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-0-a17_unofficial.img
Please let me know if you get any issues from TWRP recovery.

/carrier mount failure just doesn't matter, it won't make you fail to flash anything.

Twrp works perfectly...any custom rom for desire 650?

Have successfully got full root and twrp backup of stock rom

I unlocked bootloader, but I am not able to go any further. The phone seems bricked
just got one of these as a first smartphone for a friend - are there any custom roms available for it? what a shame HTC have not kept it up to date at all.
Hi, is there a Rom 7.x for this device ?.
The TWRP file worked for me thanks
At this moment there are no custom roms
I finally rooted my device, TWRP file worked fine. Unfortunately my phone has the "s-on" status and I can't modify anything in the /system even with this root access, if anyone knows something about this and how can I change that status please share some info, I've been looking but haven't found something that works.
Thanks and sorry for my english, still learning

Hi, I have successfully installed Twrp, but by mistake I deleted the system.
Could someone give me a complete backup image?
does not pass the recovery mode.
Hi
I need custom rom or ruu image
Custom rom
Search "HTC desire 650 custom ROM" for custom ROM - still untested by me, but looks ok
Hi everyone!
I wanted to finally flash a custom ROM on my G930F (vanilla, with the latest official update) and started by installing TWRP (twrp-3.3.1-0-herolte.img.tar) via Odin (3.13.1) following this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/development/recovery-official-twrp-herolte-t3333770.
Everything was going smoothly until step 9, because after swiping right I tried rebooting before flashing anything (found a thread on Reddit advising to just follow the guide without proceeding with rooting as indicated in the last steps). So now I'm stuck in a bootloop and I have no idea what to do, I can only access Download mode but that's it.
How do I solve this problem?
Step 10 included scenarios for both if you want root, or if you just want to boot successfully
Did you download and flash the dm-verity and force encryption disabler zip as per the step 10?
Repeat steps 6-10 and flash that zip

Thanks for answering!
Yes I figured out, installed TWRP via Odin again and then tried flashing that thing without wiping as shown in the video, but then I got some error messages and the device wouldn't boot up again, telling me I had to do a wipe. So I just went into recovery and did a factory reset.
Now I'd like to flash LineageOS but I'm not so sure anymore since I've had so many problems, and I have a few questions:
Do I need to reinstall TWRP?
Do I need root?
What version of LineageOS should I download?
Is there a guide for flashing LineageOS on the S7?

Do I need to reinstall TWRP?
No TWRP will remain until you remove it or flash stock firmware.
Do I need root?
Not required to flash custom Rom's but useful
What version of LineageOS should I download?
Look at the ROM section and read up on which one you want, there are several different ones and builds so the choice is yours.
Is there a guide for flashing LineageOS on the S7?
There is always a guide contained in the post for the ROM usually at the beginning. The process of flashing Rom's is generally the same no matter what Rom you use.
Hello,
I have a moto G100 I just purchased. I unlocked the bootloader and I tried to install LineageOS but it was being difficult. I could get it to boot into TWRP. Now I tried to restore everything to stock as it wasn't even booting. After flashing the rom back in via fastboot the unit shows up as a serial device but that's it, no picture on the screen or anything.
I need some help to get this working again. Besides the directions on the LineageOS page sucks, steps are missing and things do not work properly.
Any help would be appreciated.
This is Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 mode and won't boot.
Can anyone please help so this won't take weeks or months?
Thanks
Hello,
I fixed the brick with the blankflash file blankflash_nio_RRTS31.Q1-84-24-3-6
I was able to then use the official tool to recover the firmware. I was able to get LineageOS working but I wasn't able to do TWRP at all properly.
So I managed to install twrp but couldn't install lineage or anything out of it...
I managed to get TWRP installed but it was essentially useless as I couldn't access the internal flash unless it was setup by the OS already if you format the internal flash storage with TWRP it's useless especially via MTP.
I was able to install LineageOS and I was able to boot it, but I don't understand why it says I do not have enough space to install gapps. Without gapps LineageOS is essentially useless as an OS unless you do not use anything from google at all whatsoever not eve maps or anything.
How do I fix it so I can install gapps? I can't resize the system partition via TWRP as it doesn't even show it.
Thanks
if you have the bootloader unlocked you can try the "tinyflashscript" way and use that to overwrite all partitions with a stock image found here
RET stands for Retail and than the region code follows, just download the latest one for your region
after that your partitions are reset to the start and you could keep it that way or attempt to install lineage again but clean this time
I ran into the exact same situation as you with the storage issues and this fixed it for me
Hello my G100 was fully hard bricked trying to installed LineageOS (not the modded). I followed the following steps:
1. Installed and booted into LineageOS recovery from electimon.
2. Factory reset
3. Install ROM as adb sideload.
However, installation stuck at 47% and aborted. Phone was hard bricked once turned off. It couldn't even boot into booloader.
Luckily, I was able to enter EDL mode by pressing and holding volume and power down together for some time while it was plugged into PC using usb. Then I used blankflash to restore. This saved me from taking it to repair centre.
Hello,
I had the same brick issue and blankflash fixed it for me. I will try writing stock again then install LOSRecovery again and then try sideloading both LineageOS and gapps but I don't think that will work correctly as I think I did try that but we shall see, last time I did an install though after fixing the brick issue I used fastboot to do the stock recovery which should have fixed the partition sizes...
Thanks
It's strange that device becomes hard bricked because I installed LineageOS before and it booted fine. Only thing now changed is that I'm using February stock ROM instead of December one. Did Motorola change anything in Feb update that would cause hard brick when trying to install custom ROM?
Also, I've never did the "Ensuring all firmware partitions are consistent" thing. It worked before but not sure if we need to do it now.
Hello,
Strange indeed I can get LineageOS installed BUT because this is an A/B phone which is so silly, I can't install Gapps into LineageOS so essentially useless as the installer says the partition is too small and I do not have a way to fix that at the moment.
Thanks, and blankflash was able to get me up and running on stock but I cannot use the phone yet just like the DooGee S95 Pro I bought in hopes to use LineageOS... long story. Stuck with my ZTE Axon 7 from 2016 and a crap phone to make calls since my provider killed service to my ZTE Axon 7 so I carry basically 3 phones now. Until there is a fully working TWRP I am essentially screwed and feel like I wasted $400 on another phone.

Using the method I described above I was able to install Lineageos 19.1 and then gapps (mindthegapps) using lineage recovery. it should be entirely possible
Hello,
With the storage not being large enough I was trying to install openGapps ( stock size ) for Android 11 since I was trying to use Lineage 18.1 and not 19/19.1 since 19/19.1 appear to have bugs and 18.1 does not. Anyhow I tried to sideload openGapps and it said there wasn't enough space on the system partition. I suppose I should try mindthegapps instead.
Thanks
So anyone successfully installed it without causing hardbrick? What exact steps did u follow? r u using g100 or edge s and what is the build number of stock rom prior to install? thanks

I used the latest stock after doing a recovery with blankflash and the rescue utility from Motorola. I then installed LOSrecovery because TWRP isn't ready. I then booted into LOSrecovery and sideloaded 19.1 latest from this forum. I can't figure out how to resize /system correctly so I cannot install anything other than MindTheGapps which sucks a lot.
Anyhow if we get a working TWRP soon that will allow resize as TWRP can't show the system partition and A/B switching is being worked out then we will be good to go.
If this isn't helpful or you need exact commands then I can do that too for you.
