Any updates on Mic issues on newer hardware? (Dasaita MTCE_HA_v2.95 Oreo 8.0 stock) - MTCD Android Head Units Q&A

Hi all
I have reviewed past issues on the mic and saw past recommendation on disconnecting internal mic.
I was wondering if there are any updates for newer units?
Recently installed mine (see below) and with limited testing receiving side sounds very low.
I haven't yet tested different locations ( i saw such proposal).
Was thinking of using a better quality external lapel mic rather than stock.
Any suggestions?

iMate Ultimate 9502 Sound Issue

Hi,
I recently got a secondhand iMate Ultimate 9502 and updated it to the new Windows Mobile 6.1 Rom but I have found after several flashes and hard resets that the main speaker does not work but the actual headset (2.5mm one) and bluetooth car kits and headsets work.
But the actual main speaker does not ! Has anyone encountered this issue and if so any possbile resolutions software wise as I am hoping it is not a hardware issue as the unit is out of warranty.
Any help suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Robbie
were the speakers working before the flashes? if yes, it's possible that your radio needs updating / flashing. if the speakers weren't working even before, then it could be a hardware issue. sometimes the jack interface is dirty so you might have to clean it up. hopefully, as a second hand unit, the jack interface isn't damaged or anything from possible repeated plugs of the headset.
hope that helps
Yep twas working before the flash its very strange but if it is hardware related then I am screwed

Different mic levels between "nightly" cyanogenmod 12.1 and Stock Sony OS 5.1

Different mic levels between "nightly" cyanogenmod 12.1 and Stock Sony OS 5.1
I have just discovered via swapping mainboards on 2 identical Z3s, that the microphone level is different from stock sony 5.1 and the "Nightly" Cyanogenmod. I thought it was the mic assembly itself so I bought a new one for the Cyanogen OS, and after installing it, discovered there was no difference in level than the part I took out. As I just happen to have an identical model Z3 with stock Sony OS 5.1, I swapped over the mainboards because its quite easy to do and got a much better microphone level from the stock OS on the same hardware that was running the Cyanogen build.
I also downloaded HD2 Mic Gain Control from playstore, but it says:
"Your device is missing /proc/mic_level which is required to adjust mic levels. Get a kernel from XDA which supports this."
My conclusion is that the problem is in the software!
Does anybody know how to boost the mic level in the Cyanogen nightly build for Z3?
Or can somebody notify those who do these builds to address this problem?
Thanks in advance.

Solve a bluetooth mystery. Audio stutters up close but is fine from afar

Since android 7.1 I can't use my bluetooth earphones with my Nexus 5X. I'm this close to selling up for a different phone.
I can pair my Nexus 5X to my Anker earbuds, but the sound drops out so much it's unusable, stuttering several times a second.
The weirdest thing though; the problem is worse when my phone is near my earphones, like when I hold my phone up to see the screen. When the phone in my pocket or across the room, it works OK.
The problem is also worse when the screen is on than when it's switched off.
Can anyone help solve this? The fact that distance helps makes me think it's maybe a weird bug related how 7.1 manages bluetooth power and interference? A Bluetooth LE thing?
For reference;
It's a Nexus 5X, currently running stock 7.1.2 beta. This problem began exactly after the 7.1 update.
I'm using Anker Soundbuds Sport earphones. It's not the earphones, I've tried another identical pair. They also work fine with other phones.
Bluetooth works fine with other devices; my soundbar, bluetooth speaker.
I've tried rebooting, full factory image flash, every wipe possible.
I've tried Lineage OS, including flashing that aptX mod.
Let me know if you want any more info.

Oneplus 6, 8GB 256GB ROM, OOS 9.0.2 (stable) - Bluetooth Issues?

Hello people,
I am using my Oneplus 6 since day one as (more or less) heavy user (kinda IT-Admin stuff, bit gaming, etc.) and I'm absolutely stunned by that phone, I'm always on the latest OP-Device since day one.
So... but I'm now struggleling with the Bluetooth Connection with my Headphones. I am using my Beyerdynamic Amiron Wireless with my Oneplus6 via Bluetooth.
Now the thing is - sometimes if I turn my head around, the connection is getting unstable and I can't enjoy my music. With my 6€ amazon Bluetooth dongle on my working-PC I am not experiencing this problem, even if I walk through the office here (+/- 5-10 meter), totally stable, not getting unstable. But if I am underway before or after work, or in the city - I am experiencing this issue with my headphones.
I already made a full reset (factory reset) and flashed the latest OOS 9.0.2 with the unbrick tool, just to exclude it could be an buggy update or something. I even made a whole reset of the headphones (and checked for newer firmware, but there wasn't one).
Have anyone of you any ideas about this? F***s me up right now...
I am unrooted, no magisk or any mods.
Cheers
Hi, I'm using the Sennheiser HD1 free, and the only problem i have is on PUBG i have a little bit of latency , even if they are aptx compatible, i'm on the last stable 9.0.02 and i have a 128/8 variant, but with music, videos or calls they are perfect, you tried to factory reset and debrick so i guess i have nothing to advice you for
good luck

When i connect it, it shows a toast and a logo of Qualcomm aptx
And also
from :https://www.theverge.com/circuitbre...s-on-impressions-comparison-bluetooth-earbuds
"The Momentum HD1 Free and CX 6.00 BT look virtually identical. The hardware for the cables, the in-line remote on the right earbud, the battery module on the left earbud, are all exactly the same — the two products even share the same FCC ID. Both headphones have Bluetooth 4.2 and support Qualcomm aptX and aptX Low Latency audio for higher quality playback, assuming your device supports it, which makes sense seeing as, again, they’re more or less the same."
I'm not test it yet with bluetooth headphones, but i don't have any bluetooth problem with my car audio and galaxy watch. OnePlus 6 8/256GB A6000
I have 8/256, am on 9.02. See frequent disconnection during calls made via car's BT. Not that it should matter but I have 2018 MB E350. No BT problem making calls with my wife's Samsung S9+. I did not have any issues with OP6 when I was on Oreo. Tried factory reset, clean flash, all the steps OP mentioned.
I'm on the 8gb/128gb not the 256gb and I have to issues whatsoever. I'm using Sony MDR-XB650BT headphones which are aptx compatible and an Mpow Bluetooth receiver (3.5mm Jack) my 2011 Pathfinder Bluetooth and my Samsung gear SEE frontier... all without any issues or drop outs.
I'm on 9.02 rooted with Magisk 17.1 stable with TWRP blue spark v986 v2 and EX kernel 3.02
I have the same issue and I believe it has to be because of low quality headphones, not the phone itself. Thought my nexus 6P was the problem but the issue remained on my new op6.
So get better quality headphones or it won't go away unfortunately

Beyerdynamic Amiron are not even close to low quality. That being said i am having the same problem with some low quality headphones and just assumed it was them.
But I am also having a problem getting any changes i make to bluetooth in developers options to stick. So not really sure what to think.

Didn't see what kind of headphones he was using, my bad.
But I still highly doubt it has anything to do with the phone anyway, since everything (at least what I use bluetooth for) else is working extremely well, just my low quality headphones has issues.
And at least from my side, since the issue remains from two totally different phones I think it's something else. If it's not hardware related to the headphones then my best bet is some kind of settings inside android.

I changed too the settings of the dev option but none of them seemed to get saved, try the OB rom or another rom to see if it's the stable one is the main cause
OP6/8/256 + 9.0.2 + cheap no name BT resembling Crapple earphones.
Stable connection but 600ms latency, exactly as under 8.1, 9.0, 9.0.1 stock.
Sometimes volume skyrockets and requires adjustment.

There's no such car as "2018 MB E350." They discontinued E350 in 2016.
Are you sure that you don't have a time machine?

LOL! It's E450. I still have 2015 E350- my son is using it (just turned 16, so only during the day with my wife in the car with him). Actually, BT disconnecting issue I mentioned happens in both cars. I may ask the service folks to look into this issue when I take my car for service next month. It does not happen all the time but get disconnected while I am still talking and have good signal.
OnePlus 6 w/ 9.0.2 - has been factory reset by clearing data and cache in recovery, as well as factory reset within Android.
My issue is with my vehicle's Bluetooth. Media playback is fine, however the vehicle often thinks that the phone has no signal, when it does have signal. When the vehicle does that, I can't make calls from the vehicle, but making or receiving a call on the phone itself will work through the vehicles speakers and mic.
No issues with my iPhone, or any other Android I've used. This is the first and only phone with this problem.

PX6 mic and DSP questions

Old 4.4.4 head unit died yesterday. I went to best buy to look around and was woefully underwhelmed.
Time to get another android HU.
When looking at PX6 RK3399 head units does it matter if it has DSP or not? Does this really make a difference? Do custom ROMS (Malaysk) support it?
I never quite got the microphones on the old one to work well with bluetooth. Always a lot of noise. Is this still a problem with the newer PX6 units?
Thanks in advance!
