Different mic levels between "nightly" cyanogenmod 12.1 and Stock Sony OS 5.1 - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Different mic levels between "nightly" cyanogenmod 12.1 and Stock Sony OS 5.1
I have just discovered via swapping mainboards on 2 identical Z3s, that the microphone level is different from stock sony 5.1 and the "Nightly" Cyanogenmod. I thought it was the mic assembly itself so I bought a new one for the Cyanogen OS, and after installing it, discovered there was no difference in level than the part I took out. As I just happen to have an identical model Z3 with stock Sony OS 5.1, I swapped over the mainboards because its quite easy to do and got a much better microphone level from the stock OS on the same hardware that was running the Cyanogen build.
I also downloaded HD2 Mic Gain Control from playstore, but it says:
"Your device is missing /proc/mic_level which is required to adjust mic levels. Get a kernel from XDA which supports this."
My conclusion is that the problem is in the software!
Does anybody know how to boost the mic level in the Cyanogen nightly build for Z3?
Or can somebody notify those who do these builds to address this problem?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] No sound on speakers.

Hi,
I have a major problem with my asus tf101 and i hope some one can help me.
Since i got my hands on this tablet ( a week ago, bought second handed) the sound does not work over the speakers. Sound over the headphone jack works fine. I've searched my ass of here on xda developers forum, but every story is about people's sound issues that can be fixed by a factory reset or a reboot. This does not help for me!!!
After flashing to different kernels, and different ROM'S i still have no sound on my tablet.
So i cracked open my tablet to watch if there is any cable disconnect, the complete soundboard is just fine and not even 1 cable was disconnected or lose. I tested both speakers with an old radio en they work!
Can somone help me fix my sound problems as I still believe its an software related issue? Or is it a hardware failure?
My specs ATM:
Build: EOS JDQ39 Nightly 99
Kernel: 2.6.39.4-kat95
android version: 4.2.2
Hardware failure I think ?

Gues so then :< some one know where to buy hardware parts for the tf101?
Try the left speaker fix and play with values. Maybe you have the problem on both speakers?

[Q] Mic stops working mid-call

Hello everyone...
I recently purchased a used Huawei Y200 (U8655), and it came with a CyanogenMod 7.2 (unofficial)... Sometimes my microphone stops working just after a few words were exchanged with other person. I suspected that it could be a hardware issue, but Z - Device Test app says my mic is functioning normally. Can someone suggest a method to determine if it's hardware or software issue without purchasing a new mic for my phone?
PS: Does anyone know of good custom (preferably official) ROM for Huawei Y200?
Thanks

Audio After Nougat

Phone's audio seems wonderful after the update, or am I just imagining things. Really loved the output of the device. Also the 3.5mm jack output were excellent as once they were used to be. Late update but seems to have fixed many plaguing issues.
Yeah i also noticed the speaker audio output is increased and nice compared to MM.
Yes this is one of the main reasons, I am not switching to any custom ROMs. Bcoz no other ROMs can give better audio output than STOCK N.

Initially N-Custom ROMs had the MM quality. Now almost all roms have the N-audio quality.
Beanstalk, AOKP and Every N-ROM build in vache's site and shreps' site have the new audio quality.
Sadly my favorite ROM, Resurrection Remix, still has the MM audio quality. Even today's Lineage OS OMS build has MM audio Quality.
Back while I was using the soak test N, one day I noticed lint clogging the earphone jack, which was obstructing my headphones from being fully connected (I wasn't getting that satisfying snap you get when they're properly plugged in) and worse, this was causing the earphones to play audio in only one ear. After a great deal of trial and error, I found that with some struggling, I could plug them into a limbo state of sorts where the sound was somewhat weaker but at least let me listen through both ears. I cleaned the lint out with a safety pin, careful not to scrape too hard. But the problem persisted despite these efforts.
I eventually resigned myself to this state and eventually became used to listening at diminished volumes. (I will never let you go, Jack!) So imagine my surprise when, having installed the official N update, I discovered that the jack was working fine! Audio quality even improved over the previous software.
I'm wondering how a software upgrade solved a problem that seemed like a hardware failure though.

Yes. They all support VoLTE. Almost the same battery life with significant increase in performance.

Any updates on Mic issues on newer hardware? (Dasaita MTCE_HA_v2.95 Oreo 8.0 stock)

Hi all
I have reviewed past issues on the mic and saw past recommendation on disconnecting internal mic.
I was wondering if there are any updates for newer units?
Recently installed mine (see below) and with limited testing receiving side sounds very low.
I haven't yet tested different locations ( i saw such proposal).
Was thinking of using a better quality external lapel mic rather than stock.
Any suggestions?
Dasaita ha5214-v840, stock rom, rockchip px5 8-core, MTCE_HA_V2.95_1, radio nxp6686, bt sd968, tda7850l amplifier

Very low audio-quality from speaker on every non-stock rom

Hello people of xda.
First: Happy Holidays everyone!
i recently flashed LineageOS 15.1 (Thanks for the rom Ivan_Meler) on my G930F, everything works fine except playing audio trough the phone's speaker.
It sounds like an old nokia phone: really flat, quiet and absolutely no base.
I tried the sound mod from ZuBi182 but it just amplifies the bad sound quality.
Then i flashed TGP, and the sound was good again (like on stock rom).
So it only affects LineageOS 14.1 OFFICIAL, 15.1 and 16.0 BETA (just the ones i tested)
Any one know how to fix this?
