Apps that I disabled / TiBu uninstalled

To disable apps: Go into your app drawer, hit the settings button in the upper right, hit manage apps. Tap the app you want to disable and it will give you the option
Go to the "all" section on the right.
These are the apps that I consider to be bloat and can be safely disabled.
EDIT: These can be force uninstalled with Titanium Backup with root access
-Amazon Kindle

-AT&T Hot Spots (this may help connectivity issues if you're in a city, unconfirmed)
-AT&T Navigator (use google maps)

-Device Help
-HTC hub widget
-HtcBeatsNotify. (what I did here is I started playing music, disabled "beats", and then disabled this notification. I hate anything beats including this preset EQ that ruins music)
-Live TV
-MOG Music
-myAT&T
-SoundHound
-Top HD Games
-TuneIn Radio
-Yellow pages
-YPmobile (after uninstalling updates, thanks IdiotSavante)

do they still show up in the app drawer? Or do they simply not open if selected? I haven't ever disabled apps before as I've been on custom roms for about 18 months now.
Looking forward to the new phone on tuesday, and I'm planning on running it stock for at least a while, so this is good info

They won't show up in the app drawer and they won't run in the background. You don't know they're there unless you go back into manage apps

Can be disabled after uninstalling updates.

Added a couple more

I was able to Disable YPmobile after un-installing the update.

Also.. It seems some of these apps come back even after I diasable them

The uninstall updates button is where the disable button usually is. Click that, and then the disable button will appear.
Which ones are coming back? None from that list come back for me.

I see the disable button but it is greyed out for ready2go. It gives no option for disable.
The ones that came back were the google related.. like books, music, g+... and live TV..
Also I can sometimes see Flickr running even though it shows as disabled.

Oh sorry, yeah. Ready2Go can't be disabled without root.
And I left books / music / g+ installed. Can't test that
Live TV is gone for me - disabled it

I found another app that had Flickr in it... disabled that one.

Problems changing a few APP Icons

Hi,
I changed my Homescreen App icons using 7-Zip and it worked pretty good. Except some icons just don't change.
I have problems with the built-In Google Apps: Google Drive, Hangouts and Play Games just don't change.
I used this filenames:
- com.google.android.talk.png
- com.google.android.gms.games.png
- com.google.android.apps.docs.png
Any idea what's the problem?

we all Do Guys , its all about Huawei Launcher even though I like it a lot but when it comes to icons we need it to be more professional. I was face the same problem with WhatsApp+. I stopped using it because of that
just we need a developer to make a specific theme with same google roms icons.

i created a theme for my p7 and have the same problem (Drive, Hangouts & Maps icon).
It's really annoying when you have almost changed every icon and then it doesn't work for the last 2-3 icons.
Anyway, i found a way to change the play games icon, try this file name, it should work
com.google.android.gms.games.ui.destination.main.MainActivity
(without the space between "M" and "a" in "MainActivity". I don't know why there's a space, looks like a bug )

Thanks the Play Games now it's changed, but i can't change my last icon the google maps! com.google.apps.maps.png don't work. anybody knows the real name?

Normally, downloaded the apk and installed it. Went to applications, cleared data and it worked just fine. I think everybody's experiencing different results for some reason. Take the Smart Select edge panel, when I use Rectangle and Oval the app freezes but some people don't have an issue for some reason. My edge feeds don't work either but they haven't worked since updating to 7.0. I have the Verizon variant so not sure if that might have something to do with it.

Sadly the keyboard is full of bugs but there is a beta keyboard by samsung you could try out (limited to English and Chinese mandarin)

Google calendar issue only with HTC u11 - SOLVED

Hi all,
I have a couple of strange issues using Google calendar on my HTC u11.
1.
When a press new event button I see a 'flat' interface instead of classic one.
See screenshots attached please.
On my Nexus 7 (same accounts, same calendars, same application version) all appear normally.
2.
I cannot swipe to delete event. Swipe gesture doesn't work.
On my Nexus works perfectly.
I tried of course to clear calendar data, install fresh but nothing.
Latest Google calendar version installed of course.
Recently updated ota 1.27 but the same.
Anyone is experiencing same issued?

Not sure what you mean by flat interface, however just created an event and can swipe to delete and short swipe to tap trash can to delete. Both ways work just fine. Im on Sprint 1.28. and latest as well.

Look at differences between your screenshots and mine.
When you press plus button in your case you see other colored buttons.

I will change calendar app awaiting a fix ever if it's a Google calendar bug in some situations

After a lot of experiments, finally I discovered what is causing the issue.
It's an app called Nougat Quick settings: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=it.simonesestito.ntiles
It need accessibility permissions to allow it to create custom tiles in the quick settings bar.
I have contacted app developer that confirms this bug.
Once disabled accessibility permissions, Google calendar works fine but custom tiles stop working.
I hope this is useful to others having similar issues.

You can get custom tiles with shortcutter by @LeeDroid mate. Try it out. It doesn't interfere with any other App like GCalendar

Alternative to Google Photos

Has someone any idea if there is a Original HTC Gallery app for u11 plus? I definitely hate that stupid Google Photo app... No way to uncheck uneeded folders, no way to sort A to Z, all folders are displayed in a malicious unsorted order. So if there is a way to get HTC Gallery App running on u11 plus I would be very happy if someone could point out some advices. I don't look for other third party apps In playstore btw... I'm just looking for the HTC app. Thx guys.

Search on apkmirror for HtcAlbum 9.55.755029. It works for me, but without the option to view photos from camera app. Upper version that this one does not work, at least for me.

Uninstall v9, install the new version, reboot and all should be ok.

This Gallery v10 does not work.
You cannot asign photo to Contact stored in Phone...
(all permissions are given)

V9 worked for you? I didn't tried to asign photo to contact yet. Also, tried now from google photos and I received the same message that gallery has stopped.
