[APP] Camera Mute Version 1.5 (11-19-13) - Mute your camera shutter without ROOT

Hi, this is a simple app that I created using tasker.
My Note 3 doesnt have the option to turn off the shutter sound, this is why I made this app.
Originally made for my Samsung Note 3, but I've tried on Samsung Note 2 and it also works.
Basically it just mutes that annoying shutter sound without Root.
Some Samsung devices don't have this option.
Anyways, don't have a good icon yet but once I do have a good icon I'll post in in playstore as well.
Anyone has a good icon?
Now it only works for Stock Camera app.
How It works:
If you launch your camera, it will mute your phone, if you exit the camera application it will restore the sound of your phone.. that simple.
Disclaimer:

Hear a small beep sound after you exit the camera application?
What Camera Mute does is it mutes your phone when you are running the camera application, and it unmutes the phone when you exit.
When you put your phone on silent mode then put it back to normal mode you will hear a small beep. Its the same beeping sound that you will hear when you exit your camera. This is due to how Android was designed. As of now, I don't know if its possible to mute that sound as well without ROOT access. Please don't post that Camera Mute doesn't work in case you hear that sound. I've designed the application to silence the shutter, and nothing more.

Limitations:
Some phones doesn't turn off the camera shutter even if you put the phone on silent. If that's the same case with your phone then there is no way that Camera Mute will work.

Update: 11/03/2013
New version will be out soon. I can't do anything about the beep sound when your phone unmutes, however I can delay it. I have updated the program (soon to be released) now it has a counter. You will have the option to change the seconds on when the phone unmutes. Its the only workaround I can think of right now. Would anyone be interested in that feature? Example I have the counter set to 5seconds, so after you exit the camera app, it will take 5 seconds before you will hear that beep sound.

That sound isn't from the application. Its the default sound samsung makes when you unmute/unsilent your phone. Im not sure if I can do anything about it but I will check.

It doesn't work at all on my Gn3 (N9005, stock not rooted) :\ Is there anything special to do ?

Please make sure that after you install the application you go to the app and click enable, if it doesnt work click disable and enable it again. See if that works.

did you install the previous version? if so, kindly uninstall that one first.
If not, can you install APK files? make sure you can install APK files, go to Settings -> Security -> Check "Unknown source".

i didn't install the prervious version ,and other apk files can install without any question . i've checked "unknown source" before. my firmware is ZCEMF2（4.1.2）

Hello!! recently viewed the samsung galaxy s6 presentation.......and saw the new features (not much to see actually...)
Well, so i decided to start a new proyect to "clone" the s6 edge border color notification when calling (next versions will include the contacts feature too).
This first version is the very first one, just a color for incoming calls...next version contact color will be available.

Is this a apk or a zip?
I only can download a zip file.
When i want to install it with CWM Recovery it always comes the message that the installation was aborted.
And is this the original feature from the S6 Edge or a selfmade feature?

It is apk file....it is not a port is a self made app...still not very cool and not full of s6 edge features but more will come...its a first release to develop it with people needs and sugestions

What about battery consumption? Is it light?

It only starts and show when incoming call is ringing....the rest of the time it is stopped so it doesnt consume battery or memory

No root is needed but will show original AOD screen for a second before switching to the new AOD
If rooted backup /system/priv-app/AODService/AODService.apk and replace with downloaded version and set permissions
Reboot
And set permissions in AOD for calls/sms in settings/applications
Open icon and setting accessibility settings
Loads of settings to customize.
Sizes of clocks/notifiacation area etc
Colours of text etc

Yes like in OP it will show original AOD for a split second then go to new AOD. Yes in the app itself theres settings for static or randomly move around

Edit: nice aod but... WhatsApp notifications doesnt work for muted notifications... still a good alternative incl all the options etc

useless app drains battery for me. also its not from LG G5 . its an app available on playstore with very negative ratings.

Alternative to Google Photos

Has someone any idea if there is a Original HTC Gallery app for u11 plus? I definitely hate that stupid Google Photo app... No way to uncheck uneeded folders, no way to sort A to Z, all folders are displayed in a malicious unsorted order. So if there is a way to get HTC Gallery App running on u11 plus I would be very happy if someone could point out some advices. I don't look for other third party apps In playstore btw... I'm just looking for the HTC app. Thx guys.

Search on apkmirror for HtcAlbum 9.55.755029. It works for me, but without the option to view photos from camera app. Upper version that this one does not work, at least for me.

Uninstall v9, install the new version, reboot and all should be ok.

This Gallery v10 does not work.

V9 worked for you? I didn't tried to asign photo to contact yet. Also, tried now from google photos and I received the same message that gallery has stopped.

I have tried most of them all and the only ones that seems to work decent are: calendar, calculator, clock (stopwatch causes FC), gallery, and notes.
All of the others I tried: (messages (MMS don't load), phone (FC), contacts (works but you lose dialer and can"t import contacts), AOD (black screen), my files (FC), email (won't load new emails), internet (blank screen), weather, etc.) just don't work. Perhaps after final releases of the apps are made available they may work.

For me Calender is crashing after updating.Can you confirm which apps are working and on which model..?

try installing calendar provider as a normall app and then sideload samsung calender
that fixed some peoples problems

Hello there i wanted to say that all of these apps work for me.
apps that show "app not Installed"
Gallery , Messages and Clock. havent tried anything else
on the ones that are posted here the internet browser's setting; the text are black instead of white with a dark background so i can berly see the text.

A lot of updates were uploaded today (dec 1st) to apkmirror, has anyone tried any of them?

For calendar unzip and put in system/priv_app replacing the one this will fix the problem at least for me it did

Yess just go to apps and click on calculater.After that tap three dots there on top right corner and uninstall option will appear there..

Any update for gallery OR anything else ??

Gallery 10.0.00.16,
Calendar 10.0.00.45 with
Calendar Provider 10.0.00.5, and
Calculator 10.0.00.27,
are the only working fine for me (SM-G935V- stock Oreo) with no issues. All the others I have tried either crash or are too buggy to use.
