So after unlocking OEM and installing software i want to revert back to stock.(which i have done) but i can't seem to find a forum for resetting a pixel's (software) tamper flag. All i see is "resetting tamper flags" for nexus 5 and OnePlus 3 devices. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
I don't really know if Pixel has something like this; remember that google doesn't have a "knox-like" warranty system, so reflashing stock image and re-locking bootloader is enough.

Not true. With the Nexus 5, a tamper flag is triggered when you unlock the bootloader in fastboot. Fortunately, there's now an app you can use not only to reset the tamper flag, but also to lock/unlock the bootloader from within the OS without erasing your data. It only requires that you be rooted.

The OP asked if it says 'locked' or 'relocked'. My answer was correct. I then linked to the 'flash a factory image thread' and that also mentions the tamper flag so if the OP reads it he'll have all he needs to know

well I just want to be covered in case of warranaty return
Then the post I linked to has everything you need
I am returning my device to OnePlus due to an issue the phone had since I bought it, however for the short time I had it I tried a custom ROM and also then flashed back stock CM.
I am currently back to stock 44s, however once I wipe the device and return it what happens in regard to the unlock state and tamper bit? I re-locked after flashing but can OnePlus tell by this tamper bit it has been flashed and possibly use it as a way of avoiding warranty?

Unlocking the bootloader doesn't void your warranty. By their own statement you can do whatever you want to the device and it'll be covered by warranty, as long as you don't brick it. What is the fault?
I want to return my phone to stock with locked bootloader and the tamper bit set to false.
The reason I ask is because I am trying to install MobileIron to use my companys email on my phone.
My phone is stock, bootloader locked, and stock recovery but MobileIron is still detecting the tamper bit as true
Any help would be much appreciated!
A simple search using "OnePlus One reset tamper bit" as the search terms found this:

In other words, if you root or flash a custom recovery or firmware, does that permanently change the device status, even if you revert back to fully stock?

You can relock the bootloader and status will return to normal. If in regards to warranty or repair, you can unlock and it will not void warranty UNLESS they can prove modified software is the cause. They left themselves a loophole.
There is no tamper flag anymore in OnePlus phones since the OnePlus 3 I think.
Just type fastboot oem device info in fastboot mode and you will see that there is none anymore.

It's not a loophole it's the law in EU https://eur-lex.europa.eu/LexUriServ/LexUriServ.do?uri=CELEX:31999L0044:en:HTML
Okay, so the only threads I've found about unlocking the bootloader and flashing a custom recovery/rooting involves going to the website and requesting a bootloader unlock token code, which obviously notifies TMOUS and OnePlus that I've unlocked my bootloader and voided my warranty. On the 7 Pro, if you were SIM unlocked, you could use MSM Tool and flash an international Oxygen OS and once you did that you could enter the developer tools menu and toggle OEM Unlock, then reboot into fastboot and fastboot oem unlock, without the need for a token code, thus preserving your warranty. (If you needed warranty service you only needed to MSM flash the original stock TMOUS Oxygen OS, which could be done no matter the state of the phone so long as you had a working USB-C/charging port and could boot into edl mode)
Is there a particular reason this does not work with the OnePlus 9? I was under the impression that OnePlus had no intentions of fixing this "work around" because they were displeased at TMOUS for insisting on the extra step of the token code and were just fine with honoring the warranty so long as the device was flashed back to stock, they even avoided a hardware trigger/counter like other OEMs do to try to catch people unlocking their bootloader and flashing back to stock. So it feels really strange that they wouldn't leave some method for us to unlock the bootloader without voiding the warranty.
Did you look?
Convert T-Mobile OnePlus 9 to Global (or other) firmware
** USE THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. ** READ THROUGH THE STEPS BEFORE ATTEMPTING. IF AT ANY POINT WHILE READING THESE STEPS YOU GET CONFUSED, YOU PROBABLY SHOULDN'T ATTEMPT THIS. ** BACKUP YOUR FILES AND APP DATA AS THIS WILL WIPE YOUR PHONE. ** BACKUP...

EDIT: SORRY!! I didn't notice you were linking to a specific reply, not the thread itself. Apparently it's possible to do exactly what I'm asking, now.
I sure did. Though I'm not sure *you* did. That literally says in the very beginning of the process that it requires an UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER. What I'm asking for is whether or not it's possible to switch to a global OOS *first* so that I can unlock the bootloader without requesting the token code and voiding my warranty, as could be done with the OP7 Pro.
