Does Oppo A3S support Qualcomm quick charge 3.0? - General Questions and Answers

Hi, the unit comes with just a basic 1a charger, i saw in qualcomm's website that snapdragon 450 supports quick charge 3.0, i was wondering will a charger with quick charge 3.0 work for me or it will only be a waste of money?

Car charger (non-wireless) w/ quick charge?

Any suggestions? I'm looking for something that can do the quick charging in the car, is that even possible? Can it be done with a dual port so my wife and I can use the quick charger at the same time?

This is basically the same cable that came with my S6 just longer correct? The included cable is too short to plug in near my night stand.
Any charger that is a 2amp charger... and any cable.. i have tried all my old cables on the s6 charger... all allow fast charge... and its charger is 2amp.... same as nexus 7 and all other newer devices... so just go with a 2 amp charger and enjoy the fast charge. And yes they make dual port 2 amp chargers... usually 1 port is 2 amp and second one is like 1 or 1.4amp... i have 2 cheap ones from amazon myself... will test them with the phone tomorrow and update you.

any cable will work, but not every 2.0A charger will work. i tested it with a 2.0A (not the Samsung one) charger and "fast charging" did not show up in the phone.
AFAIK, you have to use one of Samsung's OEM chargers or one capable of the Quick Charge 2.0 standard for adaptive fast charging.
OP, i only did a cursory search, but i found this dual Quick Charge 2.0 charger that might meet your needs: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TGD79X8?psc=1
Interesting, I didn't think to check for QC 2.0. I was thinking the Anker one did that. Thanks!
That being said though, anyone have experience with any of them with how they hold up?
Verizon sells one, it is their generic branding, it's the only one that I have seen or tried that is marketed that it is QC 2.0, works great even has a built in LED flash light basically. Sucks that it is $34.99 though.

From my understanding Quick Charge 2.0 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 (or newer) processor feature. The Galaxy S6 is running Samsung's Exynos 7420 processor which features Adaptive Fast Charging. I don't know how they vary in terms of performance, but I do know that when I plug in my Quick Charge 2.0, my S6 recognizes it as a fast charger. Battery went from 40% to 63% in 13 mins so I'm assuming both charging standards are compatible lol..
Try this car charger, worked great for my Qualcomm based phones.

i'm reasonably sure it's the same standard. the Note 4 (Snapdragon 805) is listed on Qualcolm's website as compatible with QC 2.0. however, if you look at Samsung's website, it only lists Adaptive Fast Charging. Samsung just rebranded QC 2.0 as their own Adaptive Fast Charging. you can use all devices interchangeably.
also, the OP wanted a dual port QC 2.0 charger. that one only has 1 port w/ QC 2.0
I have already Anker 2 amp car charger in hand and i was thinking it wont be fast enough , i have seen video where quaclom demonstrated that Quick charging is faster than 2 amps charging , and judging by the fact that Samsung is providing comparable charging time with stock charger i was thinking that it is more than 5V 2.0 Amps .. too bad i am waiting for my phone to arrive.

I purchased this one from amazon when I had my Note 4 and I can confirm it works great with the S6. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P9UILUM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm just taking a wild guess, the stock Mi charger is QuickCharge 2.0 certified...
Nope, NO Quick Charge 2.0 . Our phone sports quick charge 1.0. Well i get a full battery in 2hrs and 12min . But Phones with quick charge 2.0 charge very fast i have seen nexus 6p charge in 1hr!
probably we need to use latest caf .....

Is our phone's quickcharge Qualcom quickcharge 3.0?

It only says Huawei quick charge in the charger. I was wondering if an external battery with qualcoms quickcharge 3.0 will charge just like the huawei's wall adapter
Correct me someone if I am wrong
But this is not qualcomm or snapdragon
This is an Huawei entirely made by Huaweis technologies like the HiSilicon and Kirin
Thats why it only says Huawei quick charge
And external battery will depend how you charge it
But I think it should only work with qualcomm and not Huawei

Correct, not Qualcomm QuickCharge technology, but proprietary Huawei quick charge.
Anker makes some good 'auto sensing' chargers that will charge the H8 pretty darn quick, however.

Yea I do have an Anker powerbank which has "IQ Charge" and its pretty fast but not as quick as the huawei's charger
The Honor phones are not Qualcomm Quick Charge compatible. The Huawei Quick Charger that comes with the phone supports both Huawei Quick Charge and Qualcomm Quick Charge 2 according to its specs. So if you have an external battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, you won't get the 3.0 speed from Huawei's charger, but it probably is quite fast (since I would assume your external battery also accepts Qualcomm Quick Charge 2).
Anker and Tronsmart QC3.0 and other proprietary fast charge speed up H8 charging, opposed to standard 2A chargers. Seem a bit slower than original charger but not by far.
Huawei uses their own fast charger.
OnePlus do the same.
When you already in this situation just try it out a d you will see how fast it will be.. and then let us know how it went.. maybe you will help someone.. I would also like to know if it will fast charge and if how fast
Any Qualcomm Quick Charger (1.0, 2.0, 3.0) will recognize that the Honor 8 is not compatible and will default back to the maximum amperage the phone's internal circuitry will allow. Not sure if it's 2A, 2.1A or what... but it basically doesn't matter what the charger is capable of if it's NOT a Huawei Fast Charger. It's speed will be dictated by the phone. Huawei's Fast Charger is the only charger that can get you the fastest charging speed on the Honor 8 and does so without heating up your device, which is the safest way to fast charge.
Huawei Fast Chargers can be found on eBay all day long for $10. There's very little reason to buy anything else since it too can charge Qualcomm QC phones and batteries.
I've tried charging mine with Aukey PB-T10 powerbank, which supports QC 3.0 (but not Huawei FCP). To my surprise, the phone shows "Fast Charging". Similar power draw between original charger and this one (9V, 1.2-1.4A), based on USB Doctor. And similar charging time too.
I've also tried with a QC 2.0 charger and it's just normal charging.

Wow, thats nice. Can I have the link? Is it this one?
Yes. This is my personal finding and nowhere an official statement :fingers-crossed:
A good QC3.0 would give very similar charging times as the original charger. I've not been using the original one and use one QC3.0 at home and another at work and they're pretty dam fast.

No chargers available for Pump Express 4.0 technology

I can't seem to find any charger compatible with the PE 4.0
https://www.mediatek.com/blog/connect-with-confidence-pump-express-4-0-charges-in-half-the-time
Also can't find more detailed information about how it works anywhere, my best bet about a charger that could work with it is the Huawei Supercharge, with provides 5v 2A/ 5v 4.5A/4.5v 5A, you guys think it could enable the Pump Express 4.0?As it is sait to use up to 5V 5A, or would it only work on Huawei smartphones?I already tried qualcomm qc3.0 chargers and they didn't work at all, but that's due to qualcomm relying on bigger tension, instead of bigger current for their technology to work.
My cellphone is a Blu VIVO XI+ powered by Helio p60 processor, I don't know why but Blu shoot their own feet by shipping a 5V/2A charger in a cellphone with a not that good battery, if it wasn't for that, the phone would be perfect for it's price.

The technology in the phone is named differently than what it's called in the charger, you want a charger that supports "Power Delivery 3.0" to get the best performance fast charge, basically the same charger that is shipped with the new Google Pixel phones. Amazon has several on the cheap that work really well with my Blu Vivo XI+. Keep in mind that you will need a usb c to usb c cable to utilize it as the power adapter itself has a usb c port that outputs the higher wattage power! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078W6NK4H/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 is the one I got and it works real well!

Qualcomm quick charger 4 supported?

Do anyone know does nex support Qualcomm quick charge 4?
no it does not, i think it just support up to QC 2.0 since they are using their own charging tech
I'd say it supports QC3, my Nex charges from 5% to 100% in about an hour, maybe 80 minutes tops

Which version do you own? I own the global version, stock charger is 5V 2A, I've tried my QC 3.0 charger, but doesn't charge faster.

I have the global version too with a QC 3.0 charger. Never actually used the stock charger but the times listed stand.
If you want I can measure them next time I charge

Yes, please let me know if you discover any differences between stock charger and a QC charger.
people already did it , no matter what quick charge tech, max you can get 9-10w, only with vivo chager can get 20w, doesn't really work with pd or qc4.0
