I was curious why there is no Forum for the Black Shark 1 but for the Helo (which is not released yet and only available for China at least in the near future) while there is a release in the works on the 16th for the Global Version of the Black Shark in Europe. So it would be great if we could either have one Forum for both devices with Subforums or one additional for the Shark 1 since i wont get my hands on the Helo in the near future but do have the Global Shark 1.
Kind Regards,
Invi
I agree it's kind of hard to find the topic again. There is one for it but you have to google it to find it. Built-in search leads me to here.

Peace be upon you. I need to make a root for my device. I searched all the sites, but I did not find my root for my device. I ask you to help with that. My device's name is Huh SKR_HO issue number G66X1910301OS00MPP
It seems to be difficult to find any forums on the blackshark 1. Even reddit has only one or two forums on the phone, which is a shame because an obnoxious issue with APPS closing randomly since android 10 update has led me here. Sucks that I have to post a bunch before I am even allowed to post a topic though.

This forum is called XDA developers so why are all the phones HTC. I love my XDA's and i will be getting the XDA Zinc when it comes out, how come there is no section for it?
You already said it:
"When it comes out" - the device is not available yet, so I think a proper forum will be created by our admins when it's time for it.
The forums are always created well in advace of the phone actally being released.
XDA history
Whilst the original xda (Wallaby) was an HTC device, the name xda was an O2 name and continues to apply to O2 branded pda's even though manufacturers have changed. If this is, more accurately, an htc-developers forum I can understand them sticking to their guns, but if it is a pda-developers forum I can't.
The Asus MarsII design has been around for a while as the leaked FCC threads have shown. If a MarsII/Zinc folder was going to appear it would have done by now.
Personally, I'd like to see non-HTC folders on here as I like the forum, but it ain't my call. If they don't appear on here, they'll spring up somewhere else as soon as people start buying Zinc's/MarsII's/MDA-whatevers/etc.
i'd post it in the
About xda-developers.com
or request the adm if i were you
my exp is that forum changes comes in bursts and not often
but one problem could be giving the misconception of owners of other devices like LOOX and ipaq and the likes that they could use HTC roms tools and developers exp to fix issues and port roms to their devices because there were forums on the site for their devices
but then that is the case now too
so by giving them their own forum would isolate posts about those devices in their own forums rather then in general
that is ofcause untill ppl got lonely and fustrated from lack of response in their device forum and double posted their "can i unlock my nokia and flash it with WM6 rom" posts
Its because navigating thru te site is getting harder. Its actually a good idea since there will be room for the newer ones and if there are like 10 newer ones coming up and the old ones are still listed, navigating to your specific model would be harder. And not only the htcs, also the Samsungs, there are already too many listed. This is just a quick idea to attract more new people to the forums and to get easy access to a specific phone model. But what about the owners of those old stuff? There shoud be a forum called "Older Phones" if ever someone still owns those old phones.

1. There already is. It's called Legacy and Low activity devices (or something along those lines). All of the other threads are still very much active.
2. ctrl+f or F3 means that you can find whatever you want, without any trouble. If you can't find it by that means, it probably isn't on the forum. A quick forum search would confirm this, and it would even bring up any posts for a device even if it doesn't have a dedicated forum (e.g. in the New Devices voting thread).
Respects for ya thought on the webscrolling ! But Lots of us still use legacy htc devices like the desire still running a mile like a beast
.
Thread moved to Q&A due to it being a question. Would advise you to read forum rules and post in correct section.
Failure to comply with forum rules will result in an infraction and/or ban depending on severity of rule break.
hello everyone... how are you guys doing I am an old member that only visits whenever the situation is critical... first registered here when windows (mobile) 6.1 was released for my htc polaris... so, it's been a while.. I've kind of lost my way here... searching for the model of my phone resulting in nothing but oppo Find 7 or Find 5 or N1...
well... the phone is Oppo Yoyo aka R2001 aka Clover2.... spec wise is almost identical to Lenovo S660 beside lenovo boasts a 3k batt+stainless steel body while oppo only provide 1990mAh batt+some sort of "gorilla glass" for the display.... I just bought it July 8th, 2014... and the reason I visited xda today is to read and gain knowledge of how to root the phone (to remove all those google stuff I don't even open and need).. and how to ditch ColorOS (it's not as cool as I expected), put CWM in for recovery mode, and finally to install Cyanogen OS in place of ColorOS... can't find any info about it here... the same as in Oppo Forum, many threads are just bad mouthing the phone... useless threads... I've spent almost 3 whole years using an android 4 sporting local brand, generic android that acts like fish being left on the ground... now the phone was almost reached its grave, screen not working for some reason and for some time, then it works again... battery getting hot (not yet "pregnant") so many times.. etc etc...
so, anyone with information please kindly help me out....

Unfortunately I can't find a specific forum for your device on xda.
But here is a general article about rooting on xda ... created by PG101.
And you can post you questions in the general help forum.
And here I found another user who has successfully rooted this device. Maybe you want to ask him/her how it was done. Just an idea.

Hello,
I am brand new to smart phones, Android and this particular forum. I have two questions. Fist question is why are all of the sub-forums listed in a seemingly random manner on the front page? I like a good read as much as the next guy, but holy cow! Isn't there some reasonably simple means to at least shuffle them into alphabetical order or group them by manufacturer or something?
Second question: My phone is a LG L34C (Fuel) and my carrier is TracFone. I have seen this same phone identified as a LG Optimus Zone 2 and yet I find neither of these smart phones referenced anywhere on this forum. Is there another smart phone manufactured by LG which is supported on this forum, or should I simply seek assistance elsewhere?

Hi, and welcome to XDA! :victory:
Please have a look at this:

Hopefully, that will help you find what you're looking for.
After a quick search, I found this:

And this:

Also this:

The information is available, you just have to search.
Well, thank you for at least replying. I DID read the directions on how to use this precious search engine, so please do NOT insult my intelligence! I honestly found every one of the posts on all 10 pages of results returned about as useful as teats on a boar hog. The one thread that was of ANY interest was a fellow who last year requested that a sub-forum specific to the LG L34C be developed. Obviously no one here felt it was worth their time to even reply to this chap in any meaningful way.
Given the overall lackadaisical appearance of this forum and the fact that few, if any, of the seniors on this site want to do anything about it, one wonders how this forum continues to exist at all.

A member helps you with not one, but a few links, and you repay them with insults? Good luck finding anyone to help you with an attitude like that.
And this forum will keep going strong long after you've left the site. I suggest if you don't like it, you log off and find another one. :good:
Thread closed. And more treatment like this towards helpful members ....and we will log you out, so you don't need to.

Look, we get it, you're upset that Xiaomi haven't delivered the update yet. Everyone else here feels the same. But right now, it feels like we're getting several new threads consisting of exactly the same misinformation for no real reason. So with that in mind, here is some more concrete information.
Xiaomi Support have *NO IDEA* about the update for our phone. Seriously. Disbelieve anything they say, because it's only ever provided conflicting or incorrect information.
Legally(?) speaking, they HAVE to provide the Android 10 update, as outlined by the Android One guidelines and promises.
We don't know when we'll get the update. No one does.
Keep in mind that the A2 is a different device to the A2 Lite. Although similar, the two devices get separate updates so one can barely glean much from information pertaining to the A2.
The most you can do is either continue waiting patiently like the rest of us, or go check out one of the many many custom ROMs on offer in this forum.
If what you were considering posting isn't covered here, please post it in one of the many open threads that already exist about this issue. The most popular one seems to be "A2 Lite official Android 10 update release date?", but there are loads more threads sitting about in the "Guides, News & Discussion" subforum. Please remember to read through entire threads to check if someone else has already posted what you were going to say and remember to not spam the forum with your question - this includes replying to multiple threads with the exact same kind of message.
