Hi guys,
as it has been almost a week I am trying to fix my phone, I am running out of ideas and asking you for help !
As I mentioned about a week ago without a reason my phone has shut down ( it was used as a gps on google maps and was a bit hot).
Since the it was stuck on on huawei logo and restart over and over(boot loop).
I started with factory data and reset, which went smothly i guess(it has changed language to Chinese) but didn't help to start the phone.
I have tried then to flash stock rom( tried 3 i have found ) from memory card in dload folder. Phone will only start updating when usb cable is in - without it wont, and keep flashing logo and restart.
Unfortunately none of the roms installed properly, all hang up on nearly end(98-99) %.
I tried to follow procedure then with Honor Multi Tool - after extracting images BOOT, CUST, RECOVERY, SYSTEM tried to upload them to my phone, but cannot write anything on the phone, which brought me to FASTBOOT& RESCUE MODE, which I am able to turn on, but it says my phone is LOCKED and until is unlocked I am stuck...
I went to HUAWEI website to apply for unlocking code, but among IMEI and SN there is also needed Product ID which you can obtain by sending a code in your phone. since I cannot turn my phone on, I cannot get my Product ID...
I have emailed huawei regarding this, but without luck.
The battery is fine and charging to 100%.
Android 4.4 with Emotion UI 2.3.
Can anyone please HELP..!!!
Follow this procedure to flash official Stock firmware package:
Download your phone firmware on which you were previously on.
Boot into bootloader mode by switching off the phone then pressing only the Vol DOWN button, and connecting it to PC simultaneously.
After doing this put the UPDATE.APP in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.
Your device will now get to the full stock firmware.
Hello,
Got a new Mate 9, and wanted to follow this guide to rebrand my phone from C34 to C636. I unlocked my phone and replaced oeminfo as per guide without major issues. However, after I copied the stock firmware to SD card and updated, the process completed normally to 100%, then the phone went completely black.
Currently, I can turn it on/off via buttons (hearing connect/disconnect sounds in windows), it shows up in fastboot devices, but I am unable to get it into any other state, or have anything display on the screen. I am still able to flash .img files with fastboot still. I have tried reflashing system.img and boot.img, but to no avail.
Am I finished or is there still hope? I'm not sure what I did wrong, and I'm unable to find this exact problem in the forums. Hope this isn't a hard brick yet...
Thanks!
Any fix?
I have the exact same issue rebranding from china to international!! Has anyone found the solution to this problem? My mate 9 wil perpetually be stuck in fast boot no matter what files I flash and what button combi I press
I got the same problem after an update. Black screen, no boot animation or anything, no LED. Stuck in fastboot mode. Can not restart it with any button combination. Has anyone come up with a solution?
I've had some previous experience with custom roms on my old Nexus 6P and thought I would try the same for my mate 9. Unfortunately I've discovered the Mate 9 is not as easy to install custom roms as I thought.
I've tried several things throughout the day and I feel I've accidently overwritten things I shouldn't have but can't remember everything I've done.
It is an Optus branded phone so I believe at the start of the day I had some version of L09C34. I currently have an unlocked boot loader and TWRP installed and would like to flash back to the stock firmware, but seem to be unable to do so. The boot loader is unlocked and when I try flashing extracted parts from fastboot, the phone will reboot, reboot again and sit at erecovery. Unfortunately while I can connect to wifi, no packages are found for recovery.
Additionally I now get this lovely colourful screen in lieu of the logo on initial boot.
Any help would be appreciated.
Okay, so I've managed to unbrick it and install a version of L09C432 and get it working again - thank you to various threads on XDA. I think what I noticed was that someone else had tried the C432 firmware on a C33 model and it worked. Without being able to get hold of the C34 firmware, I tried to flash nougat originally and it worked.
This morning, I've noticed I still have an issue where the touchscreen won't work when the phone is cold (i.e I can't click anything and can't turn alarms off). If I reboot the phone to recovery it's fine, so it leads me to believe its an OS thing. Also, if I give it a few minutes in my pocket, or holding my palm on the screen it then responds. This is the issue I tried to resolve by resetting and trying a different rom but seems I haven't been successful.
Finally, when I first turn the phone on and the screen lights up I see a green background with one blue and one red box. Any ideas what I have messed up there and how to fix it? I'm not too concerned, but it would be a nicety.
Just providing updates in case anyone comes a long with similar issues.
I have now fixed the strange coloured screen on initial power on. I've found the oeminfo for the C432 firmware on another XDA thread and took a backup of what was currently there, restored the C432 version and rebooted. I was presented with the eRecovery and no TWRP. Quick check in fastboot mode showed the phone relocked. I unlocked it again and it booted no issues, however was unsure if the custom rom was still installed as I was presented with the option of an OTA update. Initially my sim card was not recognised, so I had to remove and reinstall it but so far so good.
I've just reflashed my custom rom and will see how I go.
The only potential issue I have outstanding is my touchscreen not working either first thing in the morning, or when the phone is cold - i.e I've gone to the gym and left it sitting in the locker for 2 hours and I can't use the touchscreen when I come back. I can unlock it fine with the finger print reader and the phsyical buttons respond but touches on the screen won't. If the phone is left alone for a few minutes the screen shuts off and turns back on approx every 5 seconds until it becomes responsive. Has anyone seen anything like this before? My googling hasn't lead me to anything helpful.
Good Day to you all,
First of all i'm new to the forum and based in Ireland.
I have a Huawei P20 Pro single SIM 128gb.
On New Years Eve the battery died late, the next morning i plugged it into charge where straight away I realized it was stuck in boot loop and nothing I tried via forums etc or hard reset worked as the phone was unresponsive. I let it charge for 24 hrs. When taken off charge it is completely unresponsive is stuck on boot loop whilst on charge.
Playing around with the phone I can manage to get it into Fastboot and Rescue mode which says device reboot reason
AP_S_PMU 80
PWRONEXP_SHUTDOWN
vsys_pwroff_abs pwronexp_shutdown
volumnkey_down_press_process_func
Below this it says phone locked. When i try using HiSuite and go to option System Recovery and follow instruction it then says below "phone locked" rescue mode enter, however HiSuite says "your device is not supported".
The phone is inoperative and won't start.
Please help
I currently have this issue with my sons p20 Pro - Anyone with any ideas...
This is the only screen I can get it onto and nothing else....
No one? Nothing???
Hello,
It all happened like 2h ago when charging my phone (was at about 96%).
I just tried to open a Snap and my screen glitched, phone turned off itself after few seconds.
I could turn it on again only to see the same glitchy screen after one minute after turning on.
Now when I try to turn on my phone I can see the Poco logo and then a white screen with blue dots in a vertical
line going through the center of the screen.
I updated MIUI like a week ago, live in EU (MIUI was probably Global I'm not sure, I didn't change anything).
Bootloader is not unlocked, custom recovery is not installed.
USB Debugging is turned on.
Here is imgur with few photos of how it looks now:

Please help.. I've read that I need to give my phone to a service and they need to replace the motherboard.
I really don't want to lose my data.
I never read about that glitch in Poco phones before and I didn't back up my data.
I really need to get my photos of the phone (I really hope USB debugging helps here).
I also have Google Authenticator on this phone.. no idea if it's possible to get the keys back..
Maybe I could try tools from the index thread but I'm really scared I will make things worse, I need help with that.
That's not actually a brick ,it's jus a screen bug/error in MIUI , I had this white screen but only when I installed MIUI after a custom room ,but it solved very easy by turning phone off/on , but what you have is different ,I suggest you to enter recovery by pressing power button+volume up and factory reset the phone ,but first try entering safe mode by rebooting the phone and when the Poco logo appears, press volume down until safe logo appears, if your phone boots in safe mode you can recover your stuff , if not try factory resting to get the phone back.
try flashing the stock rom again using miflashtool.

I dont use MIUI anymore but i user it for 3 month after that bug and nothing happened ,no ghost touch ,just normal MIUI(with the garbage optimization ) .I dont know how it is with MIUI 13. You should expect anything from MIUI in this phone ,for 200$ that is sold globaly.

You should flash MIUI again with Mi Flash Tool , if it still happens you should flash a custom rom,if you get the same result go to a repair center.
just happend this today to me aswell, same problem with white screen and blue dots in the middle, i had it working for a bit like 3 times after restarting and restarting it for hours, it works for some time and randomly goes blank, safemode doesn't work the problem persists in recovery mode too but it works for the most time, i've never had a custom rom everything is stock and im on miui 13.0.1, the phone does not respond to charging it when off and you have to hold the power button for a long time to turn it on
I recommend to flash stock rom through fastboot mode.

That's indicates your mainboard is broken. claim your warranty for mainboard replacement or new phone replacement(in some region)
i got it working again after messing with plugging the charger in and out while powering it on, it booted and i reinstalled the latest update again from the settings and its been working for 6 hours now, no problem so far.
its a softbrick, in the message above i said that fastboot did not work and i was wrong, but you need to have the bootloader unlocked if you want to try the stock rom flash method

I don't think its a softbrick you should get it inspected at any Xiaomi Repair Center.
Same has happened with my POCO X3 PRO. However, after few restarts the phone is now not re-starting after long press boot button. Help.

try charging it overnight and retry even if it does not respond to charging, i did that too when mine stopped powering on although it only charged around 41%

i know it might not be a softbrick but the charger case worked for me it might be a coincidence too because it is random most of the time it boots up randomly after restarting several times, when it does it can work for as little as some minutes or a couple of hours, to me it seemed like the rom got corrupted or something, im not an expert.
my poco x3 pro wont turn on and after the poco logo it gives white screen with blue vertical dots and miflashtool wont work because i didnt download the file on my phone beforehand and my warranty is over what should i do
