Samsung Galaxy A3 2017- USB dead- System boots only when plugged in - General Questions and Answers

hey everybody!
i was using my galaxy a3 2017 (SM320FL) for half a year with lineage os (15.1) and flashed the latest build (Lineage 15.1-20180821-UNOFFICIAL-a3y17lte) some weeks ago.
i allways noticed little bugs etc. but all in all it worked for me.
since a week now, the phone won't boot into the system anymore if not connected to charge. i can still boot in download mode and recovery without plugging it in but not into the custom rom. as soon as i deconnect it (when using the custom rom) it reboots and gets stuck at the samsung screen.
that wouldn't be that bad if the usb connection was not dead as well. that happened a few month ago allready. i tried to connect it via odin, kies and smartswitch in download mode and recovery. but nothing. i also reinstalled the drivers via kies. i also flashed "ressurection remix oreo" to check wether it works with different roms but it didnt.
does anybody here have an idea what i can do to make the usb connection work? or is there a possibility to flash the firmware without it?
device SM-320FL
Android 8.1.0
TWRP 3.2.3-0
Bootloader: 0x030c (?)
EDIT: i guess this thread is supposed to be in the device-forum but i'm not able to move it myself am i?
EDIT: the problem turned out to be broken cables. i tried with a third one and usb is working fine.

[Q] Note 10.1 (2012) not being recognized by PC

Hello everyone,
I am a newbie and this was my first root/flash so please bare with me. I recently installed Gnabo rom on my note 10.1 gt-n8013 by flashing the cwm recovery and then installing the zip files from a guide i found online.
After I tried it out, it turned out to be a little buggy, and so I want to switch back to stock. However, my tablet is not being recognized on my computer. I've tried different computers and have bought a new USB with no luck. I have cleared all cache in recovery, cleared everything, uninstalled everything and it is still not working. I have enable USB debugging every time, and have tried without it. I do have the correct drivers installed on the computers. Please help if you can. I will try to flash the stock version if I can find a link to one with mobile odin (so far I have been unable to find a download of the stock firmware that the note came with).
UPDATE:
So I downloaded a stock firmware, turned out it was for note 2 (I think someone posted wrong link) and I flashed it with mobile odin. So now, It shows note 2 at startup and then a black screen. That's it. I am able to go into download mode but that won't do much since I am still unable to get the tablet connected to my pc. Any help would be appreciated!

[Completed] I need help No Twrp, Can't get into Recovery,No Os. Am I bricked?

So i had My T-Mobile GS6 Rooted

I was going to factory reset my phone & i accidentally deleted my OS. i had tried to use Odin to re install the rom i had but my phone was never getting detected by any computer, i had tried to use adb sideloader to try & install it thru there but it wasn't working& also bought a OTG cable to try & install the rom from there but it wasn't able to detect it . So i thought it was my charging port because i had lost my fast charging capability before i had tried to reset my phone. I had twrp installed but my dumb ass did something that now im not able to get into twrp. Every time i try to power on my phone it loads with a white screen after a couple of minutes it shuts off. I can't get into twrp but can still get into download mode.

the thing is that i had twrp installed but my phone was not being recognized by any pc, i tried 2 different ones.
i downloaded the usb driver but odin would still not recognize my phone to flash it to stock
so i had tried to use adb sideloader to try & get a rom to have an OS back to be able to boot the phone but that never worked as well
when i was in twrp i saw that in the "mount" section there was an option for the OTG-USB
but that never did anything
I was still in twrp trying to figure out how to use the OTG to install the zip's into my phone when i went into advanced & I hit Fix Permissions.
i accidentally rebooted my phone & from then on i wasn't able to get into twrp, i ordered a usb charging port & waited for it for about 3 days (while waiting for the part i didn't use the phone)
Got the part today & changed the usb port but as soon as i connected the phone to the charger in a wall outlet or the pc's usb port the screen goes white after about 2 minutes it just shuts off
cant go into recovery but can go into Odin mode but even when i connect it to a pc it doesn't get recognize
Weird mate , anyway try to used other usb cable like changing it to many from ur friends etc ok if still not recognised to ur pc then sorry we can't do anything unless u did everything so if ur phone not recognised to any pc then only center service they can do it by installing os by box etc ok

SM-G920F stuck in bootloop with stock recovery, computer cannot recognize device

Hi everyone, I ran into a serious problem today with my S6 G920F. I was running stock android 7 with Magisk and TWRP installed, I flashed the firmware using Flashfire from the Google Play store.
This morning the phone decided it would stop charging, a problem I faced with Android M. Anyway I reflashed the firmware package but this time i chose NOT to select the options to inject supersu and save my custom recovery, thinking that I could get it back to stock and re root it from there.
The phone previously would not boot if either Magisk or SuperSu was not installed (after i rooted it), it would just endlessly loop. Unfortunately this was the case after i flashed the firmware .
I assumed it would be a quick fix as I could just use Odin to flash the stock firmware . Unfortunately I was wrong again: my computer gives me an error message "USB Device Not Recognized" no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall the Samsung Driver, Odin wont detect the phone either. Even Smart Switch is at a loss. The phone is currently plugged into my PC and is charging normally, I CAN boot into stock recovery and download modes.
SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!! :crying::crying::crying:
Seems very obvious now but I found the solution I found the original cable that came with the phone; plugged it into the PC and just like that the computer registered that it was a Samsung devices and started installing drivers right away, seems like the P8 Lite cable I was using isnt a data cable?
I was able to flash TWRP using Odin and flashed Magisk using TWRP. All is well

My galaxy note 3 (SM-N9005) with a custom rom can't see my sim card. How to fix?

This is a bit of a longer story, but i'll try to make it brief.
I have a samsung galaxy note 3 (SM-N9005).
A few days ago, when I was deleting system bloatware and I must have also deleted some important parts of the system.
My homescreen stopped working and i couldn't see my phone when i connected it to my pc which is running win-10 (more on that later).
Unfortunately i didn't keep any backups, yes I was reckless.
Factory resetting with my default recovery mode didn't help at all.
After some time i managed to install twrp (team win project recovery) and flashed ressurection remix 5.8.5 (unofficial version from Lord_Eko) along with Magisk and the correct Gapps.
Everything is working fine except that I cant see my sim card (thus i can't call or text anyone) and I still can't see my phone when connecting it to my pc.
I wanted to try installing some firmware for my sim card or try flashing stock firmware before my custom rom but I can't, since I have to use bootloader/download mode for that.
I tried using Odin (v3.13 and v3.09) while in download mode, but it can't see my phone. Neither can Android debug bridge when using command "adb device" or "fastboot devices" (it just says list of attached devices and nothing).
Connecting my phone normally doesn't work either. My phone isnt even listed in device manager as an unknown device.
I even tried installing samsung usb drivers, but to no avail. My phone only gets charged from my pc.
I tried all sorts of things i don't even remember now, but none of them helped.
I read something about an IMEI being deleted and when i checked my IMEI through an app it was blank, so it seems to have been deleted.
My battery also keeps draining quite a lot, but that's probably because of how old it is.
I don't know anymore info i can give, so please, how do I get my simcard to work?
Thanks for any help and sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. <3

Note FE Odd USB behavior

Hi all... got a Note FE which I'm starting to think has something wrong with the kernel, or maybe the whole OS itself. Bone stock still on 7.0 due to:
1. No MTP, no D/L mode in USB port - charges just fine though.
2. USB MTP and D/L mode only works on 1 specific PC in the house, an old HP with win 7 in it.
3. When I use the said old PC to Odin Flash this thing, it fails. (FRP? I've tried with lock on and off same results).
4. I'm saying it may be the kernel as I've changed the USB C port twice already, with new hardware, thinking there was something wrong with part.
Your thoughts? The phone works beautifully otherwise. I can't put in TWRP even if I wanted to as I can't Odin into it.
Is there a TWRP update I can get that can be flashed with the stock recovery? I still have that, at least.
