This happens randomly, looks like the "new" screen gets compressed and distorted into the bar, as i scroll left and right i can see the distortion scroll along my finger.
I tried restoring the phone but no luck, recording the screen results in a perfect video without bars and distortion.
I will try flashing a new firmware or downgrade to an old stock fw..
My first guess is that the screen is somewhat damaged.
I've been super careful and never dropped it.
Stock 7.0 EU rom.
Anyone got the same problem and fixed it somehow?
Thank you in advance!
I recorded a little video of the problem:
It's look like a hardware problem. Maybe you've dropped it, or can it be water damage?

Sadly i never dropped and never got it wet
I noticed it happens when the phone gets warm, could be a GPU problem like the RROD on the xbox? :silly:

My Problem doesnt seem to be rom related so forget the title
im experiencing jagged / pixelated display on animations and videos
but other than that the phone is working its barely noticeable at the
moment but i wanna get it fixed before it gets worse
please refer to the boot animation below and
look at the edges on the glowing ring
you can see that is really jagged around the edges
this problem is there even If I revert to stock os...

Have you solved this, because i have same issue now,can you help me?
I'm pretty sure this is because the Nexus S models with the SAMOLED screens are set up in PenTile pixel format and that's why sometimes things come out all jagged like that. Its nothing wrong with the phone, its just how it was designed. Yeah its pretty stupid but then again Samsung isn't always the smartest

My phone is galaxy r with LCD screen, I'm on cm10.1 it started when my phone shut down because of low battery, after charging i turned it on and pixels were very noticeable and there were strange white frame.I haven't found anything about that issue and decided to flash stock rom,but it didnt help,i flashed cyanogenmode again and after 2 days all problems disappeared, anyway thanks for replay.
Hey guys,
So out of nowhere i noticed this line above my notification drawer, it looks permanent. It seems like the backlight is shining through the screen. The phone is not damaged. The interesting things is that it really is a lot less visible on Kitkat, than on Lolipop. Any ideas? Or is it clearl ant RMA?
Thanks!

I doubt this is firmware related, it's a hardware issue. Have you returned to KitKat since updating to Lollipop? My bet is that it'll still be there.

Oneplus support sent me files called "OPO Display patch" after installing them you rollback to firmware 38s. While updating through 44s to 05Q my screen still looked like the one in the first photo. After updating to Lolipop screen becomes like the one in the second picture. I did this 2 times, so it is safe to say that it becomes better on Kitkat, but the line is still there.

It sounds like your screen is water damaged so you should probably get a replacement device.

but it isnt showing red mark when i open sim tray
Water often times doesn't splash onto the indicator when it enters a device. Also keep the responses to one thread so this section isn't clogged.

My friend's samsung note had an issue with the display recently and she said that it had happened before (like some months ago) and she managed to get it fixed at the repair shop rly cheap, but this time round she had the same issue and when she brought it to them they asked her to change the LCD which would cost much more (close to 50USD??)
she can't afford it cuz her financials arent really doing great, and i was wondering if anyone could help ??
she didnt get it fixed and it kinda magically fixed by itself but a few days later it went back to that^ again and i am slightly skeptical of it being an LCD issue
i checked many threads with similar display issues but i couldnt find pictures of how the screen looks like in those cases... but many people said it was just a flex cable/LCD cable issue
anyone has any similar encounters?? is it fixable by replacing the cable (since its much cheaper to replace i heard)
her screen is like blue/purpleish and doesnt really seem to have any blurry issues whatsoever apart from the colours being really off
Hello, I have an unusual problem Well, I once wrote here on the forum whether other users of this phone Asus Rog Phone 5 Do they have a hard time with the volume buttons because in my copy they were stuck when pressed? Today I was cleaning the phone and I noticed a crack on the back cover from the button side Oddly enough, the buttons have been working perfectly for some time, they click I do not know when it could have been damaged because the device has never fallen down I suspect that the damage could have happened spontaneously due to the badly glued housing, the stresses that arose as a result could have contributed to the malfunction of the volume buttons Can you advertise it or has anyone heard of a similar case?

Could it burst by itself?
The only thing that would generally cause the phone to crack on it's own like that is a swollen battery. Hopefully that is not the case with your device.
Nothing is swollen, everything works, even the buttons click and normally recede The warranty is unlikely to cover it, unless they believe it, it makes sense to advertise?
not sure but I had the rog phone 2 and it cracked near the hole on the back and I never dropped it I now have the rog phone 5 and it cracked kind of like that one mine is in a case I'm wondering if it has something to do with heat
