You don't need it, you can use these instructions to root your device.

Need help with a Z3 that was bought in China

@admins: I am not entirely sure whether this is the correct place to ask for help with my problem, so feel free to move it to another forum if necessary. Thx!
Hello Experts!
Since I have no experience with modifying software on a smart phone and couldn't find any helpful information on the matter anywhere, I hope to get some advise and help from you guys here.
So here is my problem: I bought a Z3 in China (the place where I live and work) about a year ago and it came with a whole bunch of crap (pre-installed applications and some restrictions) that I would like to get rid of, while I am on holiday with unrestricted access to the internet. My main problem is that there seem to be some kind of restriction in place when it comes to installing/using certain applications, such as Google Play and most apps that you need to pay for and I would like to get rid of those restrictions. I found an older thread about some Asus Tablet where the author said that many devices bought in China have a "china-specific" firmware version installed that causes these limitations and I am wondering whether it is possible to install the "international" firmware version on my phone instead? And if yes, how to get this done. I am a total noob, but I can follow instructions, so please let me know what kind of additional information you need from me and I'll post them asap.
Thanks a lot in advance!

Check the guide and flashtool link in the OP. It should be all you need. Good luck!
Make sure you also download the correct firmware by the way, so check your phone's model number

Thanks a lot for the info! But my phone's model number says "L50u" and I am not certain which firmware I am supposed to use. Does anyone have experience with using a different firmware? Does anyone know whether I might lose LTE-bands if I install a different firmware?
L50u appears to be Xperia Z2

[Completed] Tecno Droidpad 7c pro root

Good Evening ,,
I Lately Bought tecno droidpad 7c pro and i tried to root it using one click root apps like kingroot , kingo root , iroot and more else
but it failed ..
is there any another method to root even manually ?????!!!!!!!!!!
thanks everybody in advance
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Do a Google search for:
"How to root (your model number)"
If you don't get any result with that then there is no "known" rooting method for your device.
I did that and the answer was always using kingrootand it doesn't work thanks for your response and I hope that maybe someone else may answer

Is your stock firmware version a different one than kingroot is supposed to work on? Firmwares being different changes things sometimes and prevents rooting methods that used to work.
Have you tried the PC version of kingroot?

Well then, there is no advice to give you other than try every PC rooting tool and every android rooting app you can find.
I don't know why you came here after trying all of those and getting no results. If every tool you can find didn't work then what did you think you would find here? Those are all the same things we all use. There is no extra hidden stuff here.
Try downgrading your android version to a version that has a known rooting method.

Thaanks for your concern, I thought you might have a way to manually root it...

That would mean that there is a known rooting method for that device, if that were the case, it would be documented somewhere and a search would have revealed it.
When it comes to android devices, the model number is the key.
If you want root you search for
"How to root (model number)"
If you want custom recovery you search for
"Custom recovery for (model number)"
If you want ROMs you search for
"ROMs for (model number)"
If you need the stock firmware you search for
"Stock firmware (model number)"
If searches like that don't give any immediate results then the thing being searched for usually doesn't exist.

Been wanting to use titanium backup.

Also what Rom thread in the roms section are you talking about? Will it work on the Canadian variants g955w?
Thanks for your time.

A little question about sideloading the BETA on S10+(Exynos)

Hello forum users and admins, I have a little question.
I've read on Google that I need the ASII build, but right now i have the latest one, the ASJG.
Do I really need to downgrade my firmware, or I can install it on ASJG.
If it is important, I have checked if my phone is compatible with the beta, I have the G975F and at the CSC I have the letters OXM, but not the ASII. Also, if it' important, I am from Romania, and bought the phone from here.
Thanks.<3

There are plenty of people here, but no one has an answer for you.
You can try it without downgrading but you'd be better off to just do what the thread says since those instructions are known to work.
