Audio Router application - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
i've been using Audio Router app on android 7.0, everything was working fine. But i've updated system to Android Pie and on this system release the app does not work properly, I mean it does not change anything. Can't route for example calls to earpiece, like I could on android 7.0. Any workaround, or this app might just be not compatible with Android Pie?

Bro I also have same problem

Bluetooth Metadata not displaying after Nougat update

I connect to my stock Honda HFT car audio and noticed after the Android Nougat update, no song track metadata is displayed anymore. Phone connects, music plays, but the system shows no metadata and says device is not connected. I've tried repairing via Xperia Companion and resetting the phone, but nothing works. Removed all third party apps and doesn't work either. My Galaxy S7 works fine so it's not the car audio system.
My friend also has an XZ, updated to Nougat, and the metadata displays using his phone with the same car audio system. Something is messing up my phone's connection for some reason. Possibly the AVRCP profile, but I have no clue on how to check if that's working.

Weird, all metadata is available on my VW Polo & on my Sony XAV-W650BT
Yeah, weird, since one phone works and one doesn't.
Same here in Z5 Premium
It happens for me also with a Xperia Z5 Premium and a Mazda after updating to Nougat build 32.3.A.0.376. It seems is somenthing related with AVRCP version.
My car's manual says it's compatible with AVRCP 1.0,1.3 and 1.4, for what I see, it's the 1.4 or above that comes with the Nougat update.

Nougat Bluetooth settings

Hey Y'all, can someone snap a screen shot of the Nougat bluetooth setting in the Developer Options menu. Since the Oreo update my Bluetooth device (car stereo) doesn't launch or control the music apps(Pandora) automatically like it did when I turn on the car. I don't know whats up because the phone connects for calls. The stereo plays Pandora over bluetooth but not through the Pandora control app built in to the stereo if I open Pandora manually. My wifes S7 still connects and controls through the built in Pandora app. The stereo is a few years old so I doubt Kenwood is gonna update it, plus its and Oreo issue anyway. Attached is a SS from the Oreo settings.
Thanks or whatever!
Dont no one know how to take a screenshot and post it?
I have to mess with my Pioneer head unit and phone to get my media to connect as well. Eventually I get it to connect but it is a hassle. This has been going on for a while even on my last phone which was the Note 4. Something changed in one of the Android versions I imagine. I would love to hear if you figure it out.

Yesterday's update to 9.0 fixed my issuebut it's kinda strange because Spotify control from head unit worked the while time.

Android Pie handsfree problem

I have this problem with the Android Pie version on both MIUI versions. After a few minutes the cell phone is disconnected from the handsfree car radio. Bluetooth media continues to work and voice call also works, but it does not connect to the car radio in handsfree mode although I can speak through it. Sometimes I can't even connect with it but only the phone mode. I've tried everyting, clean install and wipe everything on the car radio, but no luck. It works perfect on the Oreo version of 10.0.2.0 but all the Pie versions have this problem. From what I found it looks like there is some problem on Android Pie about the handsfree bluetooth issue, but most of the people report that after the Security Patch update of October, all the issues are gone, but for me the issue remains. My car radio is based on R-link 2 from renault, which is based on Android. Does anyone knows how to handle this? Thanks.

Android 12, Android Auto, & V4A

Currently on Android 11 with Android Auto v 7.0.614134 and V4A v 2.7.1.6. When connected via bluetooth music is processed via V4A and sounds fantastic. When connected with Android Auto via USB, music does not get processed via V4A even though there is a USB setting in V4A. Music also does not get processed via the Speaker tab, which it defaults to when plugged in with Android Auto. I have researched this extensively and found it's a limitation for whatever reason. Also odd that I can't find any recent topics on it. The newest discussions are from 2019 to mid 2020.
I have tried disabling USB audio routing in Developer Settings to no avail. My solution is to use the EQ settings on Rocket Player to compensate, and it helps...but it's not the same as V4A.
However, I read somewhere that Android 12 "fixed" this issue. Or perhaps I misunderstood what I read. Any any case, can anyone on Android 12 using V4A and Android Auto confirm if audio is processed with V4A while connected to AA? FWIW, I have a PIxel 4a 5G and have been putting off the upgrade to 12 (hate setting up phones) but if A12 will "fix" this issue I will bite the bullet.
Thanks!

Dolby and Roku private listening mode?

Is it possible to use audio enhancements like the built in Dolby for an incoming audio signal with the OnePlus 8T?
Dolby and other EQ app works with any audio source I use including Spotify, YouTube etc all the way down to the built in notifications like it should for any type of device.
However, audio enhancements do not work with Roku's private listening. This mode works differently in that as long as you are on the same wifi network you can privately listen to the audio coming from the streaming stick which is outputted to your phone and allows you to listen with the built in speaker or bluetooth on your phone.
This previously worked on this device with OOS11 and currently works fine with my Samsung tablet, so it's possible. Just not sure what changed with OOS12 and what I can do get it working again, if at all

Try updating to the latest OOS13 (F.63) or wait for the OOS 13.1 new update to go live.
