Hi,
Here you can test my new app Android:
Title : Battery Info
Battery Info is an application that displays the details of your battery
This can be very useful in order to know the state of health of your battery, to see if it does not heat too much or to check if the charging is done well.
Here are the details that will be displayed Battery Info:
- state of health
- being loaded or not
- remaining autonomy
- temperature - (celcius)
- voltage - mV
Here is the info that can be displayed for your battery:
- Health:
cold, dead, good, overheat, over voltage, unknown, unspecified failure
- Level:
between 0% and 100%
- Plugged:
usb, ac, wireless or unknown
- Status:
charging, full, discharging, charging
- Temperature in celcius
- Voltage in millivolts

Install it and test it
Thanks

Hi,
I would like to know if an app exists that logs battery charging.
The idea is to have an history of how often you charge your phone battery, so that you can see the trend or if you have a new app that is draining your battery.
The info I want to have each time I put my power cable to my phone can be the following :
- battery % before charge
- battery % after charge
- sleep time between last charge and current charge
- uptime (not sleep) between last charge and current charge
Then we can make statistics with those data like %battery used per uptime minutes ...
Am I clear ?
Battery Snap, Battery Diviner, probably many others.... Did you bother to search?
+1 on the Battery Snap - even has fancy graphs for your pleasure
thanks for the answer.
@khaytus : Yes I did search : certainly with wrong keywords (log battery usage)
is a 5.5v output solar charger compatible with G2x? I've seen it shown that 5.5v is supposed to have a wide range of compatibility of 3.6v-7v and also i've seen 3.6-5.6v. i keep finding people saying that it would work and some saying it isn't safe. all solar chargers ive seen use output 5.5v as their wide range choice it seems. some even only have 5.5v output. Just don't want to fry anything.
is there anyone who has an EXPERT opinion and not just speculation. Either from experience with this same thing or has an electrical degree with knowledge on this subject or something along those lines so i can put this question to bed?
thanks
Anyone has experience with such solar charger? I'm thinking of getting one as well
5.5 volts is totally fine for connecting to the phone. According to the P999 service manual, the internal charger chip can handle up to 28VDC input.
3.10.4 Charging control
P999 uses individual Charger IC which is RT9524.
Features
? 28V Maximum Rating for DC Adapter
? Internal Integrated Power MOSFETs
? Support 4.2V/2.3A Factory Mode
? 50mA Low Dropout Voltage Regulator
? Status Pin Indicator
? Programmed Charging Current
? Under Voltage Lockout
? Over Voltage Protection
? Thermal Feedback Optimized Charge Rate
? RoHS Compliant and Halogen Free

"ACIN Over Voltage Protection
The input voltage is monitored by the internal comparator
and the input over voltage protection threshold is set to
6.9V. However, input voltage over 28V will still cause
damage to the RT9524. When the input voltage exceeds
the threshold, the comparator outputs a logic signal to
turn off the power P-MOSFET to prevent the high input
voltage from damaging the electronics in the handheld
system. When the input over voltage condition is removed,
the comparator re-enables the output by running through
the soft-start."

Most android users must be very curious to know about the power consumption parameters of their Android phone.
How much Power does each component or a Android service consumes ??
This Guide provides full power consumption distributed and well explained...
This might allow you to save some precious minutes of your Android Smartphone Battery.
DISPLAY: Average - 370mW.
Full white background, 1% brightness - 450mW.
Full white background, 100% brightness - 960mW.
So roughly every percentage of brightness increased accounts to additional 5.2mW.
NOTE :- Now we know why using dark wallpapers and reducing brightness is so important than undervolting.
Virtual Hardware Keys - 40mW
Led lamp next to camera - 1.3W
Camera - 700mW
Bluetooth - 110 to 180mW
GPS - 110 to 180mW
2G to 3G switching - 800mW for 8 seconds. (This is no h/w component, but we should know)
CPU -
1.2 Ghz full load, 100% brightness - 3.8W+
1.2 Ghz average - 3.2W
Deep Sleep - 200mW during suspend state opposed & at deep sleep 8mW without BLN.

LEARNING THE ART OF DEVELOPING KERNELS
PHONE : SAMSUNG GT I8262, SAMSUNG GT S5360
You need root to do this.
You can use the Run Code function in Tasker and put - dumpsys battery unplug
This will stop the phone from charging (thru all charging methods) until battery level drops.
If you wish to permanently stop charging the phone until a certain % then you have to set Moto Mod to efficiency mode then trick the phone to thinking it is still within a certain % with - dumpsys battery set level 81
This will artificially set the battery level to 81%, above the efficiency mode level and, stop the phone from polling battery stats.
To restart polling of battery stats use - dumpsys battery reset
Use Tasker events to control the execution of commands.
For example:
On Display On:
dumpsys battery reset
On Display On and if Battery Level is Between 50 to 81:
dumpsys battery set level 81
dumpsys battery unplug
Did you think about ACC - Advanced Charging Controler for your phone?
perks:
- idle mode (battery is not charging - power just from cable)
- set max battery level of charging then Idle mode
Just tested and ACCA is working like harm with stock kernel including battery idle prioritizer
