Purchased new box and was stuck on x96 mini page from start. I pressed pin and powered back up (without sd card in box) to try and get to menu to just simply reboot it but solid red light came on without me even getting to menu that I know of. I have tried all methods found in these forums. For grounding out pins I read that some people successful after trying different pins then in posts but they not post pins they used, may be helpful to others if they did. I don't think world cup drivers works for Windows 10, or I need help making them work as I tried connecting a working box to usb burning tool and was also not recognized but windows itself recognized. Windows does not recognise my bricked box. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks for the assurance sir. i really hope so. i had a mibox 3 last year. it also uses amlogic processor, s905x. i was able to play with its os for a few months until i bricked it while trying to downgrade it succesfuly from oreo despite of the warning not to do it. because mibox has this kind of like anti rollback protection that would render your device paperweight if you downgrade. there was one expert also from vietnam named Nguyen Van Dai if you are also familiar with him, who was the author of the modified bootloader of mibox to be able to safely downgrade from Nougat to marshmallow. but when i tried his modified oreo bootloader i bricked my mibox and that's the end of the box.
anyway, what is important to me now is a sure answer if this x96 mini can be revived regardless of anykind of software brick.

by the way sir, have you already encountered yourself that red light only problem and then you were able to resolve using the method of danman? most or all of those who are saying that danman method does not work for them are those whose boxes only show red light..
It works!!!
So guys. I found a new way to recover our bricked X96 Minis. So I bricked mine with a wrong FW. I had inly red light, no reset through AV switch, no magic SD card, Computer doesn t recognized usw.
First of all: I have a X96 mini with Amilogic S905W CPU, 2/16. My PCB version is x96 Mini Q6X v 2.2 17355 and I have memory from Samsung. They call it k4b4g0446q.
So the method:
1. Short the two point.
2. Connect USB Kabel to PC. Wait until the computer recognize the box.
3. Remove shortcut, connect AC adapter to the box.
4. Flash enjoy
I used a laptop with Windows 7 64 bit and USB Burning tool 2.2.0. The USB 3 kabel is one meter long. I flashed simply an android 9 FW from web.
Q6X v2.3 1/8GB X96 mini
Hi,
Do you have any clues for Q6x v2.3 board X96 mini 1/8gb board? I tried as card flash but after 2s afters flashing started the box turn off itself and of i try to connect box to pc, windows says usb device not recognised and goes to coonect/disconnect loop.
Eh nevermind, i changed usb cable. Pc recognised it, flashed. But sometime freeze itself :/

Hello,
I had exactly the same problem on my x96mini.
You must have a cable that turns on the red led without the charger, my first cable did not do it I had to change it.
I connect the cable to my pc.
Took out the motherboard, I turned it over.
With a metal object I rubbed it on all the welds (by despair)
By magic I saw Connect succes posted on Burning tool.
Good luck if you have this problem

many thanx
only v11h worked out (link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1594396)
My problem is that I'm able to go in NVFlash mode and do the G2X_V21E_00_NVFlash or the One-Click-G2x-recovery but when I try the S/W Upgrade mode, the G2x screen show me the S/W Update image but no devices are found in Windows XP.
I tried with different cables and different PC (even MAC) but no sign of any device connected.
Of course the drivers are installed, if I connect the phone when Android boot up all the devices (modem, serial port, USB...) are properly found.
I probably have an half bricked USB port (I just replaced the hardware connector board, so HW is not the issue) since when the phone is running Android I'm not able to charge it.
To re-enable the charge I go in the hidden menu (1809#*999#) and switch Port Settings> from AP USB to AP UART
I really think is a BaseBand problem (I'm stuck with MAR 27 2011) but without S/W Update working I'm not able to update it!
Someone have suggestions?
Thanks.

Hello everyone!
So, the problem is, when i connect my Nexus 5 into the Computer (via USB cable) the computer doesn't seem to recognize the device...
by "doesn't recognize" I mean not even in Device Manager, The only thing it does is charging up the device.
I tried many things such as:
*Factory Resetting my Device
*Different Computers (one of them is brand new laptop running windows 8.1, another one is normal running windows 7)
*tried to install driver solutions from a Nexus Toolkit
*swapping USB cables / ports on the PC
*Selecting MTP / PTP and plugging / unplugging between
Info:
I'm on a brand new laptop running Windows OS 8.1
My device is rooted and running a flashed zip of Lolipop 5.0
I'm using TWRP Recovery.
I tried looking for a solution in the web including this forum but I can't seem to figure it out.
If by any chance you know the solution to this problem please inform me of it, Thanks alot!

Try going to "settings"
"storage"
Menu. Click the 3 buttons top right under the time (this is the menu button)
"Choose USB computer connection"
Change from MTP to PTP and see if the device shows up in device manager. Then change it back to MTP and see if it showed up in device manager. If it does on either uninstall what ever driver is installed and reboot computer. Then connect device to PC and see if computer recognizes your phone, if it does let it finish installing and browse to device manager and install the USB drivers put out by google here http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html or alternatively use the naked drivers here http://www.xda-developers.com/andro...r-solves-your-adb-driver-problems-on-windows/
I found that simply plugging and unplugging usb while looking at device manager you can find out what usb it is.
Finally if you could not find out anything above, I had an issue where my usb connection was full of lint from my pocket. The cable was not seating properly inside the phone from the lint obstruction. I could not get the USB drivers or my phone to charge properly. It kept disconnecting and I eventually cleaned the phone with a q-tip and a toothpick, sometime the phone connector could bend so you could try to bend it back, mine has been good every since. I'm not saying shove something in it and bend it/break it. I'm simply saying to lightly clean it or pry it up so that it makes a better connection and make sure that your USB is properly seated.

I had a LG phone driver before that didn't allow my NEXUS 5 to be recognized once before, I think i solved it by connecting my old phone to the PC and uninstalled drivers via device manager. Other than that dude I'd just have to tinker until I figured it out.

It seems like you've tried all the steps i know of. Have you tried plugging another device into the comp to make sure it's not hardware issue on the comps side? You could also live boot an Ubuntu CD and see if it's recognized with a different os.
the problem is due to win usb generic drivers that doesn't work
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/problem-pc-t2858740/post55059501#post55059501
follow these instructions then install google usb drivers http://developer.android.com/sdk/win-usb.html

Could be the serial bus controller in the comp is bad. If you have a USB stick laying around plug that in and see if the comp detects that. If it doesn't see any external devices its a defective component in the comp.

You seem quick to dismiss an issue with your computer. I honestly believe it is the computer drivers. Even brand new there are pre installed drivers on your PC that could interfere with the Nexus 5. Its possible that its registered in the PC device manager as something other then nexus or under something other then USB or portable devices. I've seen this so many times. Its also possible that the phone or USB are malfunctioning but I don't think you've exhausted all options software wise yet.
my computer is a Lenovo brand, I tried everything i know, if you have any suggestions I will appreciate it alot thanks for helping me so far.

Hello guys!
I have been using my 1+1 since september. Everything was allright! I have changed rom and kernel many times, so it means that i have got my ADB installed and know something about tweaking a phone. I say that, becouse last time i asked for a help, i heard only simple solutions. I already tried them all.
So, my problem is:
When i connect my phone to PC 1+1 start to charge, but PC can`t see him. I have tryed it on 4 different pc (all windows 8 or 8,1 (64)) and 2 different cables (native and my old one). All PC can`t even find 1+1 in device manager. Ofcourse i have confirmed USB-debugging, MTP etc. This problem suddenly appeared without a reason.
So i used native reset function and now my phone got no Root and Recovery. I don`t know what to do. Any ideas?
Any help. guys?
Still need help
Did you update your SDK?
If you're using the original USB cable that came with the phone try swapping it with a non-OPO cable.

test with another PC?
Two other OPO users had similar issues and it turned out to be the original cable. That is why I'm suggesting a different cable.
I have used another cable and 3 different PC. Still cant find my phone!
updated SDK but it didnt help
Weird. Try uninstall all driver. Then re-install back OPO driver. I think that is not cable issue since you have tried different pc and cable. Hmmm really weird.

Just need your experience
i`m a bit confuse here
on the first post he says " after reset , no root no recovery"
what`s the status now ?
try pdanet app, it comes with universal adb drivers
i already installed reinstalled uninstalled drivers. i hae tryed all manipulations with drivers
etm my phone has no recovery or root, beacouse i did factory reset (thought it might help). so i cant install another rom (beacouse cant use abd fastboot or recovery)
any other ideas??
maybe its problem with phone usb port
Did you try like what xanthrax said? Try it first then let us know it help or not.

Hi I bought on ebay android tv box called Emish X700. Once i went for holiday and disconnected TV box from power outlet. After 2 weeks i came back home and when i turned it on TV box get stucked with picture of dead android without any option. I tried to do reset with toothpick for 10 sec in hole but with no change. when i googled a bit i found tools and firmware which helped me to restore this TV box to factory state and to be able to use it again. That's why i'd like to share it with users with same or similar problem.
Firmware + Flash tools + Drivers
Steps.
1. download attached files
2. unpack it
3. follow instructions from document in "X700 upgrade" folder
4. in case your PC can't detect your device use "Android Tool" flasher with firmware from "X700 upgrade" folder
5. after successful flashing device will reboot and will be booting for about 15 mins, so be patient
Where can I find Android Tool?
I did the step but in the program for firmware update the label does not become Green, so can't detect the device
Android tool is possible to download from link in 1st post. to get green status in program you have to plug usb cable connected already to your computer to your box with pressed resset button for abbout 5 secs.
I did for 10 seconds but nothing happens
Edit: it work, thank you very much for the guide!!

I've tried switching it off and on and disconnecting it, reconnecting it... over and over again. After a day or so, all of a sudden, poof it comes on blue when connected. I'm ready to throw it out and buy something new. I tried the tools above, but my computer won't recognize the device? Does it need to be plugged in and turned on showing the blue light to work? Thanks!
Thanks for the software and drivers, my device now is alive again.
for those who don't work properly the reset button, I was in the same situation, searching on google reset for RK3128 devices, I find a solution, do a short circuit between 8-9 Pin on NAND chip with the USB connected.
Install the drivers attached at the link from djmaj0, flash the update image with Android Tools, and now working perfectly.
PD: i flashed with Win10 x64 and no problems, don't need W7 or W8
Thanks again djmaj0!
After flash
After the flash, is the Android still 4.4.1? or updated to 5.0 or higher?
I have emish x700. However unable to identify the toothpick hole as no click on/off apparent. Im assuming the hole on back between the usb ports. Can you confirm this or where it is. My device is frozen on the emish screen and will not proceed further. Thanks

Yes you're right. The reset button is hidden in hole between 2 USB ports.

Hi. After flashing kitkat will remain as the rom is almost same as original. Unfortunately its not pre-rooted, but i have done it with kingroot app after flashing.

.
Thanks Djamjo
On my device unable to feel any pin through that hole. Saw posts elsewhere that you can use the on/off switch and volume control. Do you / any one know about this, also hole underneath the box whick on left out of line to other holes??.
Have downloaded the files. Can you confirm unpacking is same as extracting or unzipping ?. And as havent got to instructions yet do I need to copy the files to a usb or do everything from the laptop.
What is a short circuit between 8/9 pins on nand chip as advised above, and roughly how one would one do it.?
Sorry this is all a learning curve, hence delay. Thanks
For flashing firmware is required the DC-IN 5V to be connected?
So I found out that we have to connect the box with USB3. But in the flash process I get the errore Download IDB Fail. Anyone had this?
I know it's an old post, I successfully upgraded my emish x700 who had power on issues, now I see two types of memory partitions, phone about 1GB and internal_sd about 6GB. Why? Before upgrade I remember I had only one memory (think so) and I didn't have full memory issues when installing new apps. Who can help me?
hello..
i have a Bluewave 8 HD+ tablet running Kitkat 4.4.4,my friend also has Bluewave 8 HD+ tablet running Android Marshmallow.
when trying to check for an update for my Kitkat tablet,it says i am currently running the latest OS,no update available(i am sure they have because my friend's tab is running Marshmallow,we have the same Tablet, just running different OS)
Question:
how do i copy my friend's Android Marshmallow OS and flash it to my Kitkat Bluewave Tablet?(no need copying the files, settings, apps etc.,just the Marshmallow OS).
More power and God bless.
thanks,
Jovi
Update:
i flashed my Bluewave 8 HD+(Kitkat-i flashed my tab several times before but same Stock OS) using Rockchip Batch Tool provided by the manufacturer's website(http://www.wavetablet.com/wave8hd-marshmallow/resources/firmwareupdates) and downloaded the Marshmallow OS.
The flashing went flawless and after it finished flashing and tried to turn ON my Bluewave Tablet(with its new Marshmallow OS),the device will just turn on with the lights but no display.tried to poke the Reset Hole to no avail. I tried to connect said Tablet to my computer and it works as a normal(working)tablet, device drivers installed. From Computer, said Tablet is now connected as a Media Player device(before was Mass Storage, same as a USB Stick inserted to port) and i can see the storage info of the tablet from the computer.
Problem:
i want to reflash my Bluewave Tablet back to its Stock ROM(Kitkat) using the same Rockchip Batch Tool but it will no longer be detected by the said Tool( all drivers were installed).
Additional Info:
Volume Buttons- NO
Home(Physical)Button- NO
thanks in advance,
Jovi
Uhm Hey. I'm a bit too late to reply. I did the same thing as you did. Same result no display. But I've discovered that Marshmallow actually boots. I've plugged a mini hdmi to hdmi adapter and I hooked it up to my TV. Touch screen works, everything works except for the lcd. I'm still looking for a solution to make the lcd work.

I don't really know why the lcd doesn't work...Maybe it requires different drivers?
if it requires different driver(if ever we know exactly what driver it is and we have a copy of it),how will you(we) gonna install the said LCD Drivers into the Marshmallow OS?
some people out there might help us?

Yeah. I hope so. I don't really know what to do with it. Kitkat is a really old OS. I'm planning to experiment with it for a while and try to make the LCD work. I don't really get it though why the LCD doesn't work. They have the same resolution and same size.
Have you tried flashing the lollipop one? Does the LCD work?
Hello. I've finally discovered a way to reflash the old firmware back.

You still interested? Sorry for the very late response. I was very busy at school. Y'know 17 yr old stuff. But I had finally time to fix that tablet.
It requires opening the actual device though but don't worry, its only held down by some plastic clips. Then you would have to remove the gray thermal pad and expose the rockchip cpu, nand flash and ram. The Nand flash here is what were after. Right beside the nand flash, there is a flash clk pin along with the ground pin beside it. I've read that the Wave 8 HD+ has volume buttons which enables you to enter the combination in order to reflash the rom. The combination is holding the +Volume while plugging in the micro usb to the computer. The batch tool will then detect the tablet. But in our case, we cannot do that since we do not have volume buttons. So I've researched more and found out that the Rockchip CPU has a MASKROM mode which would temporarily disable the marshmallow rom that we just flashed. Short circuiting the flash clk to ground would enable the Maskrom mode which would then enable us to flash back to the old stock kitkat rom.
