My pixel 3 xl out of no where powered off at 15 percent. I placed pixel on the charger and it began to charge. Once at 25% I manually turned on the phone. It was on for 30nsefonds and powered off again. Then it started turning on by itself. I followed all instructions from Google to try and resolve the problem. I entered safe mode and did factor reset. Same issues. In being sent a replacement phone. Has this happened to anyone?
Update: it is now completely bricked.
Update: it randomly turned on saying 1% battery life
Has anyone else had this happen?

Hi!
I'll start from the beginning
About a month ago I flashed the Nik Project X rebirth rom"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2226221" and I''ve been using it for the last month with no problems. 2 days ago when I woke up in the morning (I charge mhy ohone every night), my phone says it only has 7% battery.. And I use it for the whole day and the day after and it still says 7%. There is a setting called hot reboot you can do to restart the shell so I did it and it rebooted with no problems and nothing changed. But still the 7% is there and it wont charge so i think that if I turn it off it might work charging but it doesnt, when you plug in the charger the led light flashes red around 30-40 times and then stops and the phone isnt starting whatever i do.. I try holding the power button for 4 sec and nothing happens it just wont start. only the led light seems to work. anyone of you guys that know what I should do?
please help me.. ::crying:

Hi All,
Just thought I'd share my.. well so far resolution to the problem I was facing. So I purchased a Nexus 5 from eBay and sure enough it ran out of the 4% battery it had, however after leaving it to charge I noticed once turned on the battery was still at 0%. I tried a different charger (Plus and USB) and again still didn't work. I read various fixes such as leaving the phone turned off and charging it for an hour, also disconnecting the battery from the mainboard and holding the power button for 15 seconds but neither worked.
I then went to flash the stock ROM but to do this it's recommended you have 60% battery so I wasn't going to risk it as it may end up being bricked but as I got to that stage I looked back at my Nexus and it was 9% charged. It seems that through following the Stock ROM flash tutorial I put the phone into "USB Debugging Mode" while connected to my laptop, it seems in this mode it charges fine. To me it seems there is a software issue (may very well have been caused by the restore carried out before the phone was sent to me" I'm going to leave it charging via USB and perform a full stock flash and root hopefully this should permanently sort the problem.
Ok

Two weeks ago, I replaced the battery of my Nexus 5 and it was working well. Now suddenly the phone does not turn on anymore at all, so I thought the new battery might be completely dead. I ordered another one, but still, it doesn't do anything. When I connect it to a charger, it attempts to boot as the google logo appears, but it just reboots all the time. I tried the same with the battery disconnected and it behaves just like this.
So I assume the connection from battery to the phone is somehow broken? Is there anything I can do?
It's the power button not the battery if it keeps restarting try this

Picked up my phone off the charger today (1 week old 128g pixel 3) and it just shutdown. Almost like the battery died, but it was 100%.
Turned the phone back on, booted "normal", ran about 30 - 60 seconds and shut off again!
Turned on a 2nd time, actually started ringing immediately after boot, was able to complete a full phone call then it shut down after the call was completed.
Turned on a 3rd time, made a phone call - same behavior, lasted for the whole call then shutdown.
Tired safe mode - same thing.
Went to bootloader - seems to stay alive for a long time (~1 hour) - thinking it's not hardware... tried factory reset. Reboot phone and it makes it 30-60 seconds and shuts down!
Anyone else seeing MAJOR hardware issue like this?
Same problem for myself. Started yesterday morning. Phone was just went dead after using it a couple of minutes. Called Google Fi support and getting a new phone. Phone was dead to the world. The PC would not recognize the phone when plugged in. After the phone sat for several hours I got it to power on. Started that bootloop thing so I tried restoring using twrp. The was a no-go. Then reflashed the stock image (with out the -w). No go as well. Unfortunately the phone went dead again before I could just overwrite the phone. Going to try again this morning if the phone powers on again. If not back to Google.
[UPDATE] Nuked the phone(flash-all with -w), and reloaded the Nov. firmware. So far so good. Currently going through (slowly since my WiFi is slow as molasses) the updates and restore now.
My phone has been working fine, literally no issues until today. I went to look at my phone and the lockscreen wouldn't come up. The phone isn't dead, I looked at it probably 20-30 minutes previously and it was at about 30% battery plus I charged it for about an hour and it still would not come on. The phone is essentially a paperweight right now. I cannot access anything and I cant factory reset it because it is completely unresponsive.
I tried using the MSM tool but no matter what wire I use, it keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. Anyone have any idea? Been fighting with it for 2 days now.
