Hello,
Currently i own a galaxy s7, and i can't stand samsung ignoring big issue that is present since months regarding delayed notifications.
Currently, the notifications are delayed and are delivered upon unlock of the screen. regardless of battery optimization settings (all turned off).
Example:
1. You lock the screen - wait few minutes.
2. App sends notifications
***notification should arrive, but it's not***
3. You unlock the screen
4. You get notifications... which you should have gotten while they screen WAS locked.
This is commonly refered as android "doze" issue
Is there same issue present on OnePlus 6?
PS. Please dont advise on the issue, because it's software bug and disabling any kind of optimization is worthless and has been tested by multiple people.
Only disabling doze using adb works - which is temporarly solution until next reboot.

It does not work. There has been multiple thread pages on issue, and what only works is setting adb command which will only work until device is rebooted.
I'm not looking for workaround, but asking whether the issue is affecting oneplus 6.
Mine doesn't have that issue
I have this issue. If it is doze related I don't know, I never tried to disable it, mostly because I'm too lazy to do it every day.

Have you tried disabling all battery optimization options? I heard that disabling them, works on other phones.. just not samsungs.

My s8 with Oreo has no issues with delayed notifications. Pixel and OnePlus 6 do, both on Pie. I'm not saying it's not possible, just in my experience, it's only happening on Pie

You had these phones and verified issue presence yourself, or you base this on the operating system bug and just assume that this issue is present on every Pie phone?
It's not only happening on Pie, because i have Oreo on S7 and it's exactly same.

Can you check if Service Mode is enabled. Go to the dialer and input these:
*#0011#
or
*#27663368378#
Wonder if Band 5 is enabled on their latest baseband.
I haven't seen the update come my way yet. I was interested to see if my battery life has improved at all because it's pretty awful right now. I am becoming impatient here.

It was OTA (Over The Air), so going to settings, scrolling to the bottom, and checking for updates through System updates option should get you the update. If it's still not showing up after you try and power cycle your phone, then Verizon just simply hasn't released it to your region yet and it will come very soon.

Battery life is improved, but not significantly. The phones are at the age where the batteries are noticeably less in capacity than originally. The power-save mode is better I believe however, which definitely helps.
Anyone find a way to disable SDM.apk? I don't see it on Package Disabler Pro, only sdmviewer which doesn't stop the pop up. FoxFi is 100x more important to me than Nougat.
Have you tried doing a update check from your settings? I have not received the notice for update yet either but if I go to the update tab in settings, it is there. So you might be able to update but just did not get notice.

To be honest, both options (blinking or solid) without any option for customization are plain stupid. On my previous phones I always had multicolor LED and different speeds of blinking for each type of notification. With single color and unconfigurable speed..I don't really care if LED blinks or just stays on, it isn't very useful anyway.
big issue here. After having updated to July patch from second may one, I'm not able to hear sound from the speaker. It starts for a couple of seconds than nothing is hearable anymore. Hello everyone. I've been conducting research about this multi-touch/latency issue about the Pocophone's screen. And this is what I've found. It turns out that most, if not all, people with the "tianma" display has hardware issues with their screen. I want to verify whether this is the case. So if you want to know what display you have, follow my steps.
1. Go to settings.
2. About Phone.
3. Tap the kernel version about 4 times and a new window will pop-up.
4. Then tap "Check version info".
5. Scroll down until you see "LCM Information".
That's where you could see what display your Pocophone has. From what I've seen/heard, all tianma with nt36672a has the multi touch/screen latency issue.
So anyone who either has or does not have the issue, can you please state yours for referrence? I'm sure it could help a lot of people. Thanks!
i dont have any issue with my poco regarding multi touch.
I have the same version then you...sorry but how do you expetience the issue you are talking about? I have no problems what so ever.
If you don't mind, can you please do those steps I showed and show what your LCM Information is? I want to know what type of display a fully functioning Pocophone has.
It's noticeable when typing fast that also involves the edges of the screen (letters q, a, etc.) It has a slight delay to it. And also, when playing games, there's a huge inaccuracy to it. It just isn't the same as my previous phone.

I'm using the latest 8.10.25 and it still feels slow sometimes. No change since MIUI9. It's either hardware related or Gboard is slow. Can't comment on gaming or test it with a slow mode camera.
I have the same display without any issues. I can't replicate the problem you describe despite best efforts to catch the screen out when using the keyboard.
PUBG has controls in the periphery of the screen - I can't blame my poor chicken dinner intake on this!
i have the same nt36672a. the problem has been reduced a little with the update, but it's only noticeable on the edges while typing very fast. As far as gaming is concerned, I paly pubg, Fortnite and other heavy titles on almost daily basis, and haven't faced any issues till now. and since I use swipe gesture to type, the little delay on the sides don't bother me much.
( but the digitizer used surely is at fault, and I don't think updates will do anymore good to improve this touch delay)
Hmm, weird. I have same nt36672a but no problem so far. Tested with Touch Sensor in CIT and working fine. I play Mobile Legends without any issue. I am using Google pinyin app for typing both chinese and English but no issue at all.

There one mod that ports AOSP AOD in apps section here. Normal AOD does work, but the status bar does not shut off. A slight workaround for that one would be to make your lock screen wallpaper black.

If the first one didn't work, then that's it. AOD works 100% on Oreo with no issues, but doesn't on Pie. The only alternative would be an app, but I couldn't suggest one since I don't use them. I use an app called wave up, which turns the screen on when I take it out of my pocket, which also triggers face unlock.
yes seems so, we have aod for oneplus 6T pie but not for oneplus 6 sounds strange but true i guess.
Anybody Google the answer why we can not have a Always of Display with the OnePlus ?
Samsung "Bloat phones" has it.

Maybe other devices have always on Displays too ?
To run a small part of the display with a Clock and notifications can not burn that much battery

Hello guys, I recently got my new Oneplus 8T, and, whilst the device is amazing from what I could use it, it has an annoying flaw that I couldn´t find any information of.
When I press a whatsapp, telegram, etc notification, there´s a bit of delay inbetween the press and the start of the app opening. The phone does it the majority of times, as you can see in the video below (at the 10 second mark it opens it right):
Do you have an idea on what could be causing this? Does any of you have the same issue I do? I tried turning off everything related to battery saving, even factory reseting. Any help is much appreciated, thank you in advance!

I've come across some people with this specific flaw, I contacted Oneplus and they told me to factory reset the phone and if that didn't help (which did not, since I've gone wayy further with it, installing HydrogenOS and older versions of OxygenOS and didn't solve the issue), it "might" be a software issue and it "might" be solved in the next software update.
For how much have you been with the phone?
What is bugging me is that this problem is too specific for it to be a hardware issue.

Yes, I still have my Oneplus 7 Pro and it works flawlessly. I think I found something crucial.
The problem lays whitin the "Notifications" apartment. I'll explain myself.
As you can see in this new video I recorded
that weird delay shows when I open a notification coming from the tab "Notifications". BUT, when I open the SAME APP (Play Store) from a notification coming from "Other notifications" there's no delay at all, the phone works flawlessly, see how I press to see how my download is going, there's no lag. It would be wonderful if you could try it yourself, and see if that's the case on you unit too.
Taking this into account, I'm almost 100% sure this is a software related problem, and has nothing to do with hardware, probably a bug.
I'll report it to the bug reporting section of Oneplus and see if they can work on it.

Oh, I might try that one, thank you man! Just updated to the newest OTA that was released today, and didn't fix the issue whatsoever... This is pretty sad.

Ah..I was wondering if the latest OTA fixed it...I don't think they will fix it anytime soon

The latest OTA kinda did something for me. I get the delay 5 out of 10 times I press a notification. Used to be 9 out of 10 times lol. It's not completely fixed but it's an improvement. What I did was send a bug report to the Oneplus bug reporting site and they said that they will be working on it.
