Hello everyone. I’ve got a hizpo stereo that a friend of mine give me a few weeks back. The numbers on the side of the radio is ADY17009. It’s running Android 7.1.2. The problem I’m having with it is the screen is inverted. I’ve tried the reset button tried erasing everything no luck. I tried accessing developer mode pressing build number 7 times and it didn’t let me access it. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the stock firmware and operating system on this thing or can I upgrade it to the latest and hopefully it will fix the issue. I can’t sign up on hizpo website. Every time I try to I get a connection timed out error.
Anyone?

Hi all,
Not had any response in the Alpine group, so thought I would ask here because from looking at old posts, It appears this problem has afflicted several models.
I tried to use the blueooth for the first time in ages and I get an error message saying the license has expired, then the bluetooth is turned off automatically.
I found some earlier articles about this problem, and they suggested a solution was to install a Broadcom bluetooth driver update, which the author posted as an attachment. I installed this and reset the device, but when I click on the bluetooth icon I just get the same error message as before.
In case my customised ExtROM was the problem, I installed the standard O2 1.11.169 ExtROM, but the problem is still there. This is wierd because I have used bluetooth under that ExtROM version successfully in the past!
Can anyone help me???
I bought a kit that had 2 USB transmitters to add to PC's without Bluetooth. It was by Energy Systems.
Unfortunately, the fist time i installed it, it gave out this error. The one regarding expired license.
I have never got to use it and was wondering what the fuzz was all about. If you do get it working, please inform me about the solution on how to get rid of the license expiration thingy.
Thanks
your choices are 1.Get a new phone. 2.Look for the latest driver for your phones Bluetooth and try to install it. 3.Try factory resetting your phone. hope it works out.
I have a Pixel and recently received the 7.1.1 OTA update. This morning my phone restarted and failed to boot properly. It does boot, and I get to the home screen where all apps seem to be functional. But there are several problems, including 1) I can't turn on cellular data, 2) the home button and the task switcher button do not work. Also, when I press the back, home or task switcher buttons, I get vibration feedback which is not how I had the phone set. Another odd thing is that when I check settings, it shows that the phone is on Android version 7.1 It is as if the phone tried to revert back to 7.1, but did not do so fully. Another anomaly is that when I got to the Play Store, all my apps appear as if they are not updated, even though I just installed available updates yesterday.
When I go to System Update, it shows a 261.9 MB update available to download. I assume that's 7.1.1 OTA update. I could try downloading and re-installing it, but before doing so, I wanted to see if anyone thinks that could cause more problems. Or, does anyone have another suggested step I could take. I would like to avoid a factory reset, if possible. Hopefully, there's another simple, quick solution.
Most likely it is easily fixable by just flashing the full stock 7.1.1 image from Google. Unfortunately it will wipe your device, but it is basically a surefire way to fix whatever went wrong.
It sounds like what happened is the OTA failed somewhere, bad download etc. As the pixel has the dual partitions if an OTA fails it will revert back to the last known working system. As @renegadeone8 mentioned, flashing the full 7.1.1 zip should cure your issues. You will have to unlock the bootloader to do so. (No a bad idea anyway imho Incase you have errors)
No harm in trying the OTA again. If it fails you won't be any further behind than you are now.
I'm having very similar issues, I also have no notifications and cannot pull down the full drop down menu or turn my data back on.
Thanks, k.s.deviate. I wish I had read your response earlier. It probably would have been good for me to at least try re-installing 7.1.1 again. However, I read from users on a different forum that they had experienced odd behavior very similar to what I experienced. In their case they didn't realize, at first, that the problem was associated with the 7.1.1 update. So, they re-installed it. Unfortunately, they had the same problems re-occur. For them the only solution was a factory reset and then not downloading 7.1.1 again.
That's what I've done. Everything is working great now. Android shows the 7.1.1 update available. Based on your assessment, I'm partially tempted to try installing it again. However, if it does end up with problems again, like it did the first time, I don't feel like I have the time to go through the whole factory re-install process again. So, I'm just going to stick with 7.1 for now and wait until either 1) I feel I have more time or 2) Google releases another update (7.1.2 ?) that might fix this problem. Thanks, again, though for your feedback.
exactly same here, so bad download could be ruled out. Also I've seen discussion on reddit and google forum, but unfortunely no solution was presented

This is usually a symptom of a loose connection in the hardware(believe it or not, a good shake, tap or bump this way or that way has been known to solve this) or a symptom of the sensor needing to be recalibrated(also solved by shaking/bumping or even lightly dropping on a soft surface from about 12 inches, but doing it while the device is powered off)
Or, if the device still functions correctly, there are apps that can recalibrate the sensors for you.
As for finding the stock firmware...
If a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
Is not finding anything, then it probably isn't available. These cheap, off brand devices usually do not get any software support of any kind from the manufacturers, they do not release the stock source or the stock firmware to the public.
If it came down to really needing to flash the device, you'd have to look for a firmware from a device that uses the exact same hardware as the device you own. That can be very difficult, it requires opening the device to look at the numbers on the hardware components, then using those to compare to other devices. If one of those devices is the same as yours and has a firmware available, you can use it.

Hi All new here so hello first.
I have just bought a Android TMOTEC head unit for my corsa and come across a problem.
The launcher wont load and so wont let me onto the main screen it just keeps looping.
I have tried the reset button and pulled the power but still same.
There is a factory reset I have found but requires a password and its not in the manual.
So does anyone know the password to these models.
Thanks
Hi,
I have a PX30 head unit with Pumpkin branding.
I've updated the ROM to Hal9k which is great but the unit often fails to boot sitting on a black screen. Repeated attempts to reset the unit, and it eventually turns on.
Auto sleep is not working either so its always cold boot, even if the unit has only been turned off a few seconds.
I would like to try updating the MCU software but cannot find a file.
The version info is: MTCE_HT_V3.60_1, Aug 14 2020 10:19:07
I have tried to register for manufacturer forum to ask there but didn't get a response for account approval.
If there is a newer version that would be great, equally the same version or an older version that is known to be stable could also help me.
Thanks!
Looks like I managed to answer my own question, I found version 3.71 on a German forum, here is a link to it.
210.4 KB file on MEGA

Still don't have the sleep working, if I change it to delay shutdown or sleep it makes no difference and its a cold boot every time. I've checked my wiring and I'm sure the unit is still getting +12v from the car when ignition is switched off.
Anything else I can try or check?
Hello, try if you don't have Default power status - OFF: Factory settings/126/Other/Default power status - set ON or if the radio does not remember saved stations, then set: remember last state.

Hi, I tried this, the power settings don't make any difference.
If the unit is only off for less than say 1 hour, it will boot up again OK. It's not instant on like some youtube videos, maybe 10-20 seconds. I guess this is still standby mode?
If the vehicle is parked overnight, unit will not boot, just get a black screen. It takes several (usually 10+) attempts to reset it before it eventually boots.
This is really annoying, is there anything else I can check? The only thing I didn't change yet is the "customer type" number, would this make any difference?
Changing the customer version is not recommended, serious control errors and sometimes a black screen may occur, but it is up to you if you take that risk. Sometimes a new MCU update will make this change. The last number after the underscore indicates the customer version, MTCE_HT_V3.60_1, the last one is 1 so the customer version will be 1. If you have updated the MCU this may have changed. It is best if you have saved the factory settings in the dmcu.cfg file, with this file the MCU will be updated and all settings will be returned to the original settings. Factory settings - EXPORT button and save the dmcu.cfg file to external storage, if you do not specify a path, it is saved to the root directory by default. If the error was caused by the update to Hal9k, then the problem may be with this update, try to update again with wipe data or reinstall the original ROM. If that doesn't solve the problem, try a different car type in the canbus factory settings. Or the canbus adapter may be faulty.
Thank you, that is helpful. The unit was already doing this before any updates, I was hoping that updating the ROM and MCU would help but it seems to have made no difference.
I don't have a canbus adaptor.
