Which device. Under this forum now there is just the Moto g6 and the Moto g6 play Jeter and aljeter variants. I myself do not have the current means to build a custom rom for the g6 play Jeter and aljeter devices because my laptop specs are to bad and I don't trust it because it's been through alot. which is why I try to at least contribute to answering questions and making a newer cleaned up root guide for the g6 play. I'm more than willing to help test anything for the g6 play Jeter device though. So I say +1 for Moto g6 play Jeter/aljeter because I think the regular g6 is getting a custom rom or two soon. Hell also +1 for the regular g6. We're a community so I would love to see all the g6 variants have lineage at least lol

Method i use to get gapps to work is to make sure Factory Reset Protection is not triggered (boot once after factory reset on official firmware and login to the previous google account if it asks for verification) then install lineage. Boot that once without gapps, then go back into recovery and install apps. After that factory reset again and do not connect to any internet (pull sim, skip connecting to wifi), create offline account, plug sim back in. Then try launching google play store, afterwards find google service framework ID with device ID app (i leave APK on sd card), register to website and wait 5-30 minutes. it'll spam notifications for a long time, but if you keep trying it'll eventually pass device verification. that last step will be an issue with any custom roms, not just GSI's.

I say go for it!!!!
I'd be intrigued in this. I don't have any development knowledge but I'd be a good tester. I noticed the sheer lack of development between this phone and the G5+. Is the community really centered THAT much around the G6+? What about the Americans who don't get that variant?
For those thinking that there is no development for the G6 play. check out this post by squid2 and it should alleviate your fears. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...s-14-1-moto-e4-qualcomm-t3690156/post77358577

Hi, I read that anyone with a developer's account can access the developers' preview build of Android L, that was supposed to be available today, I have a developer's account (to upload apps to the market) but I don't see any build of android L, is this the required account? or is there any other type of account required? thanks!

I guess it'll be available in a few hours.
I guess they just haven't released it, yet.
Don't forget their different timezone.
Thank you all, maybe I'm getting too desperate I just wanted to confirm that my account is the right one, I'll be refreshing until it appears, thanks again!
EDIT: I believe being rooted would not be a problem at the moment of the installation, right? I know that I'll lose root after that, but as long as the actual installation does not give me problems, it's fine.

Considering that the images will have to be flashed through fastboot, you'll probably lose root and everything else on data/system partitions (unless they don't wipe it, but I think it does).

As long as you don't flash the userdata.img, all /sdcard data will be fine. You don't have to flash userdata.img to bump android versions! System, boot would do just fine (and bootloader if they bump it as well)
Or you could just wait till a flashable zip is posted. Someone will have one up within hours of release.

Unless they changed the folder structure like they did a few releases ago - if they did, best to do a clean install.
I'm backing up right now just in case.
Don't wanna mess with the installation script by flashing some things and not others (although there would be virtually no risk by flashing system and boot partition), but better safe than sorry, after all, we can just shove everything back when finished
Consider ir a backup routine, and you'll have an updated bk

That's an entirely different scenario. Each and everyone of us would need to wipe clean if that happens but usually a system and boot flash would do just fine
The N5 has been my FIRST of many, many, many Android phones and even Windows Pocket PC phones that I haven't felt the need to unlock/root etc. Everything has just worked great on it and I have always been able to do everything I wanted to do from this phone. I have been so satisfied with the phone that it has kept me away from XDA for a while. Don't know if that is a good thing or bad, lol. I used to be on this site for hours every single day and now I feel like I am light years behind in rooting. HA!
L has me interested though and I am contemplating unlocking my bootloader for it which just becomes a PITA with losing your data and adding things back and all that great stuff that takes so much of your time. Then if things suck you have to flash back to something else and the never ending process continues. The N5 has gotten me so much time back in my life but I feel like it might demand some of my time back to it. Oh I hate this stuff!!!!
I think I'll make a backup, just in case, as someone said previously, I would prefer to make a clean installation if it's needed and use the image provided by Google.
Thanks!
So yeah. Anyone have a stock rom dump I could grab and reflash with? I managed to brick mine doing a merge updates into rom with titanium backup before taking a dump of my rom. It appears that the stock rom hasn't been posted on nvidia's site yet. If not, I can wait
The source is available and I'm currently syncing. If I'm able to make anything useful I will post it up and let you know.

The source compiled. I don't think I have it all together in a nice package (IMG/zip) yet, but I'll dig through it once I get home tonight.
Anyone who want's to give this a try go ahead. I haven't tried it yet. I followed Nvidia's build instructions and built the factory preinstalled build. You need to have your bootloader unlocked, all of the files flash using fastboot. Hopefully this will work for anyone having issues until Nvidia gets a factory image out.

I believe the nvidia apps are all on the playstore. I saw the link for nvidia hub showing up on my nexus 7. That'd be pretty nice to be honest (assuming there aren't any special drivers needed) having a super clean device.

Found an odd issue. When I let my tablet idle to sleep, the touch screen stops responding. If I lock it with the button it doesn't do that. Do you have the same issue? Thanks again for all your help with the build! It's nice just having a useful device again
I'm getting some odd things on reboot too. The screen looks all messed up for a minute then it corrects itself. I'll try the OTA0 build nvidia has listed too and see if that's any better. Won't be until tomorrow night at least.

Computerfreek274 Turbopop Android Pay
11/07/2015 Update This Android pay build has been updated to the newest tweaks it is running clean and wifi tether is working great. Android pay is also working 100% I just tested it at 3 stores today. Please remember this IMG has no root! however it is clean of junk and tweaked for speed with WIFI tether. For most users looking to root it was just to get wifi tether for the unlimited users. This rom is great if you like an clean stock android phone with working android pay and wifi tether.
Please ReadThis is an un-rooted Img to Support for android pay. This system image Is for users looking for a tweaked system better battery life and boosted audio and removed bloatware and Android Pay!
So if you looking to still have a tweaked and clean phone but still you like to use android pay then this img is for you. Google android pay is checking for root all the time and unlocked boot loaders. So we can only hope to get an patched ver of android pay one day for rooted phones. So for now I am going to work on this IMG it will be lean and clean with some great tweaks and boosted audio.

Uploading now 11/07/2015 @ 10:15 AM Please give it an hour or so to show up on the server.
Help And Support
Please Backup data! Photos and stuff you need just in case! I am not to be help responsible for data loss or if your phone dies.
This IMG has been tested on 4 phones today 2 of them needed a full wipe to get it it boot so please keep this in mine that you may have to do a full data wipe.
Please read the readme file to upgrade your modem and kernel to the newest ver.
Preparing to install this img when coming from an img with root xposed stuff like this. 1. Uninstall xposed and any mods reboot when done. Step 2 Flash via mofo let it try and boot if it hangs on the moto screen. Hold down power enter recovery and wipe cache and reboot. 3. Download android pay and update android services VIA google market setup android pay update remove cards it will not matter at this point. Just remember android pay only supports some cards and the ones you already have on your account. Also you now have to add you google wallet credit card to android pay as wallet and android pay are split up now.
If you can not boot no matter what you do and you forgot to backup your data then flash back the img you where on and boot BACK UP YOU DATA! Then start over with step 1. and when you get to step 2. Wipe cache and data.

For me it is easy as soon as I am done testing and tweaking this build I will be back on my rooted 493 img. I can always pull out a credit card to pay for somthing not like any of us walk around with your phone only and not you real wallet.
Help and Support Update
For android Pay I will post updates on my website and on XDA and remember android pay is an unrooted tweaked img with ad blocking and more.
On my website Computerfreek.com Now has updated help and support how to setup stuff like adaway,Boot anamation, Dpi and more.
I will also be posting Pre-Release images there days before there on XDA for testing. There will also be images some custom images that will not ever be listed on here on XDA. So please check out the site it is still a work in progress but it is getting there. As of right now I did not get custom IMG listed and the newest ver is still 1.6 and it is listed below. I hope to clean up OP this week with some of the same info found on my website. I maybe doing an order page where you can order an custom IMG for a fee with 3 free Updates per IMG.
I have tried everything and cannot get audio to work at all. Is anyone else having this issue or know of a fix?

Right. You have to pull out SOMETHING -- whether your phone or your credit card. It's the same action. Using the phone is not really any easier.
And in the real world, no one leaves the house without their wallet. Occasionally going to work, I have left my phone at the house, but I've never left my wallet.

Argghhh. I wish people would STOP digging up old threads. STOP IT. THIS is from September 2015! NOTHING from back then for the XT1254 is relevant for now. And Safety Net has been updated many, many times since then to block people. Anything that worked over a year ago sure wouldn't work now.
However, usually it's people who won't believe you need to pay for Sunshine to unlock their XT1254 bootloader. They dig up year old threads to ask the same question over and over like they are going to get a different answer.
Wow, you are really upset there buddy. Sorry that it bothers you. But to me, this is relevant. I have mofo root not sunshine, and i dont see the point in going through all the effort of sunshine and new roms, when moforoot works perfect. Furthermore i surely might be wrong, but i didn't see a lollipop or marshmallow ROM with these features (tweaked, tether, android pay).
I was simply asking if there was anyone who know how to get the audio working with this ROM. If you don't know, then just don't reply. What's the point in posting just to complain?

If you are still on Moforoot (with Kitakat 4.4.4 base installing a "Lollipop" image), you are 1 in a million. You're a year behind all the dev work.
And the ROM will NOT work with Android Pay -- due to all the Android Pay/Safety Net updates the past year. SafetyNet will detect Moforoot. It's obsolete, out of date ROM that will no longer work.

Getting Android Pay to work on a modified device is a constant cat and mouse game. A few workarounds were found and promptly patched by Google in Android Pay/Google Play Services/ Google App updates. If you use it frequently, unlocking is a bad idea. Android Pay might still work on an unlocked device, but any change that you make to any system files will cause it to not work, so there's no point in unlocking.
Even if you managed to root without unlocking (via moforoot or through the terrible kingroot method), you would break Android Pay because root is one of the first things that it looks for, and none of the apps/xposed modules designed to fool it are successful at doing so.

I think so but it's from ta-1020 just one sim
Something tells me we won't be getting android P/
Hi all! I I tell you guys what is my first experience with the new update. I have a Nokia 3 TA-1032 dual sim, I use it with SD card, and I formatted as an internal storage. When today I decided to search for some updates to the system, and suprise: Hell ya boy, it have. So first the update is downloaded, then reboot. The phone was failed. I don't know what happened. So a reboot again whatta heck is happened, and I just see, the background image has changed, and all of the app icons dissappeared, and sadly some of the apps are lost huge amount of data. But! No upgrade. I'm quite not happy. After this, I repeated the update 2 times: failed. Than I decided to eject(I mean pick it out from my device) my SD card, and repeat the process. Remember, my SD is formatted as an integral storage. After this circus I finally get the update, and installed. So, I just looked my apps: hello Google, nice unnecessary apps what you got there. Your eyes my friend is good: with the update, we get some unnecessary apps, like: Google docs, and other type of things. I'm so happy Nokia. Oh, and the new 8.1 system is using more ram! JUST THE SYSTEM WITHOUT APPS! Please guys, think twice before installing this "very useful and super" update...
please give some reviews on oreo 8. 1 update
is there any performance and Battery improvement?
Hello, I never wrote here, but I am desperate and I need your help. I upgraded to 8.1 tonight and it really sucks, I asked Nokia on their chat but it doesn't seem to be possible to rollback to 8.0, can I root my phone or something?

Only thing you can do is flash a 7.x rom using ost then upgrade to 8.0, but you will lose all your data.
There are threads on how this is done. I'm guessing you haven't unlocked your bootloader
Indeed, I never did anything like that, at all, I know nothing when it comes to telephones, so all these root and bootloader things scare me a lot. But I just can't keep 8.1, it turns on the screen when I get a notification, I can't play pokémon go, and the brightness is wrong. This is such a mess, also I have no money to buy another phone, I just want to cry
By the way, why do I have to rollback to 7 instead of 8 directly? And how can I ensure that I'll get 8.0 instead of 8.1 when I upgrade? Sorry for all these questions but as I said I know nothing, if you can give me detailed steps and/or links to relevant guides I'll be grateful.

Indeed, I never did anything like that, at all, I know nothing when it comes to telephones, so all these root and bootloader things scare me a lot. Try This:- Go To Settings>Apps & Notifications>Notifications> Then Click On "Lockscreen Notification" And Then Don't Show at All.
Try It
Maybe It Work
I Am Still On 8.0 And Eagerly Waiting For 8.1 Update.
Mine is TA-1032, just check in the settings if there is any update

No, I *want* the notifications to be on the lock screen, but I don't want the screen to lit up when I receive a notification. Because, as other people said elsewhere, if I receive a notification while the phone is in my pocket, it might start doing other things since the screen became responsive instead of staying off. But I do want to see the notifications on the lock screen if I press the power button, otherwise I'd need to unlock the phone all the times. I hope that this makes sense.
None of that matters anyway since I'm mainly disappointed by Pokémon Go.

please give some reviews on oreo 8. 1 update
is there any performance and Battery improvement?

As for performance: it's MUCH better. Everything opens at least twice as fast as on 8.0, but there's a sacrifice for this: the general smoothness of system has degraded. In-app performance is best and it's pretty smoother than 8.0, but in such places as recent apps menu and drop-down bar it's quite laggy.
As for battery, I see no changes at all.
Yes, in 8.1 the recent apps menu is terrible laggy. I hope they fix it as soon as possible.
Is there any gcam 6.1xxxxx working on nokia 3??
This is the ****est update i had ever got.
only December patch in india no oreo 8.1
my phone is not even charging after the update
Hello guys, i bought my oneplus 7 pro from china and it comes with hydrogen os and i am trying to get rid of it.
I already tried to download the official package from OnePlus website and i tried to flash it using the recovery but it gives a pop up saying that i can't downgrade.
could anyone suggest me a good way to switch to oxygen os ??
Thanks in advance!!
Probably it's because they listed a lower version there.
Head to https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/oneplus-7-pro-global-repo-oxygen-os-t3930585
Download the latest zip and use the local upgrade method.

Use fastboot mode : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-7-pro-t3931424
Will definitely work
convert it with the international firmware converter

Usually flashing the stock zip via the systems updater should work but i guess if it doesn't then download the fastboot version and try.

If you're on a newer version of hydrogen, you need to unlock bootloader to go to a lower version. Dont forget. But might be better to wait for the next update of OSS and then flash internally. To be safe. Im rather new with oneplus too

i already unlocked the bootloader, but i don't want to risk everything so i will just wait for the newer update.
I have a follow up question. I might be wrong at any step so please correct me if I am.
From what I remember, during first boot of android people are supposed to log into their google account. So if I end up flashing OOS by local update option, will they ask me to log into my google account? I'm still in China and I don't know if I can actually skip that step and keep using my phone (log into google accounts later on after I connect to my VPN).
I don't want to risk changing OS and not being able to use my phone until I leave China.

So far I did not install OOS. My H2OS is too fresh and I still need to wait a bit for new OOS updates. However I'm getting 2nd one for my grandfather tomorrow and I'll check how it goes then.
Yes, I'm in TJ.
