Pre-ordered Pixel 3 delivery gone missing - Google Pixel 3 Questions & Answers

Ordered the Pixel 3 on the 17th of October. Google gave an estimated delivery date of Oct 19-21. The package was supposedly shipped on the 18th. On October 19th, FedEx tracking was updated to 'Delivered', at 1PM EST. Supposedly it was 'Given to customer. Signature Service not requested.'
Do I have it? Nope. Looks like someone along the way decided to keep it for themselves.
Opened a case with Google AND FedEx and they're 'investigating'. Can't even get another phone delivered.
I live in NYC. Anyone else have this problem?

I had the guy living above my place open my gfs mail before thinking “ it was for him”
I’ll probably reroute my package to a nearest official pickup.
Sounds like you need to seriously shake down your neighbors!

Google eventually relented 4 days later and shipped a replacement (signature required this time).
Finally got it!

You should expect the serie# is registered and Google can track it down. And see what gmail account is used while setting up the Pixel 3.. But than there is something called privacy...

[Q] Best Buy - If you ordered from them did it ship?

It has become too difficult to navigate the US availability thread with the frequent new posts and discussion on several different stores. I was wondering how many people ordered from Best Buy and for those who did maybe answer a few questions to see where we all stand. When I ordered everything looked good but like many I was emailed about six hours later saying it was on backorder. If we could start a thread with the following basic questions answered I think it would be helpful to see where we (those who haven't received our order) stand.

Did you do site to store? or UPS. I only ask because my status never says back ordered.

From reading other threads it seems like those that ordered ship to store have been getting their items while those that choose regular shipping perhaps are not. I cannot confirm this but I'm curious to see if thats what is happening.
When I talked with customer service. I asked if I did UPS shipping would it have come quicker she said that stores have priority after pre orders are sold out.

When I placed my order it gave me a 5/11 delivery date to the store. When I called CS they said the same thing. Maybe you overlooked it. Call CS and they will tell you when you item will arrive.

Canadian Orders?

Has anyone from Canada gotten a confirmation on shipping yet? I got an email last week saying my order was changed from delivery on the 18th to the 23rd. Anyone else get anything different?
I also have the new delivery date of the 23rd. I think the 18th was only speculation. The date changed once Samsung came out with it's official release dates and Canada wasn't on the list for the initial release.

Sounds like all us North American people are in the same boat. Samsung told me they would be back in stock on the 22nd and I'd have mine early December (pre-ordered early morning Nov 6th direct from Samsung).
I'm hoping they actually ship them on the 22nd, then I might have a chance of getting it before the holiday. If not, it will be early December probably.
Can't believe how Samsung dropped the ball on this one. After the Note 7 deal, you'd think they would be doing whatever possible to make people happy.
Getting my new toys early make me very happy... lol

The watch would have the ability to connect to Rogers network as it uses the same frequency bands as AT&T however you could never activate it on the Rogers network with a Rogers contract because Rogers doesn't have the ability to activate an e-sim device.
Anyone actually get shipping confirmation from BestBuy Canada? They can't seem to show me my order this morning (get and error on the web page) so I can't tell if it has shipped or not.

Thanks, mine still says in Progress. I would have thought they would send them out for a Wednesday delivery. I have a shipping ID but I think that is an internal number only. Let me know if you get a status change. I didn't get any emails telling me they had billed my card so not expecting one telling me they shipped it.

I originally ordered on the 17th and forgot to add the 10% discount so I cancelled and reordered on the 18th. My Purolator tracking shows it is in Calgary today but I doubt they will deliver because it is too late. My status shows Fulfillment Completed. I got an email yesterday that said it was shipped and included the tracking number.

Verizon S9+

Anyone else preorder from Verizon? Anyone have any idea when they're shipping? Mine says on the 16th, which would be way later than every other carrier. Sucks because my HTC 10 is dying and I need a new phone pretty quick, being attached to a charger all the time blows.
Update: cc ran on Friday and got tracking Saturday. FedEx overnight showing delivery tomorrow Monday.
I pre ordered on the 2nd was told by the rep that if I signed up for the Verizon up program that the phone would ship earlier. I checked the status today and it has a 3/12 ship by date.

Best Buy will be Friday the 16th for any orders. Just a FYI from what I've been seeing. Unless your store breaks corporate policy and will allow you to get them early.

I reserved the past two galaxies (s7 and s8) from best buy and all received them exactly 4 days early. and that was store pickup also. so crossing my fingers it will be the same for the s9+

Least the stores I've been too that's what has been told to me. Maybe the peeps at my place are little more... strict with the timelines.
With shipping might get a day or so earlier but sadly I wouldn't expect unless you get a confirmation 1-2 days out.

That's what I've heard so was expecting that myself when I did the pre-order then found out after the main crazy calmed down that Friday would be the day :/ I mean great, least I'll have it for the weekend, sucks because was expecting it hopefully as early as tomorrow (Wednesday). So eager since I should of never given up my "personal mobile" 4-5 years ago (forgot which) and eager to get it back, let alone be back on android.
Don't get me wrong I want it earlier and hope it does and Best Buy isn't being a stickler for the street date of the 16th. I'd do it early so there isn't a potentially larger then necessary crowd trying to get their phones all on the same day (walkin's vs pre-orders) , but hey I'm just a customer and what would I know about logistics.
Best buy just charged me. So hopefully that means they got stock and will be releasing them soon.

Mine, too. Shipped late Sunday (shipping label), picked up Monday, due tomorrow (Wednesday 14th). Verizon S9+ in Idaho, USA. Can't wait!

Any Canadians buy from the Google Store and receive it yet?

I ordered my 4 XL the moment they went up on the store on the 15th. Credit card was charged immediately. Got an email on the 21st that my phone was "dispatched" and it said it was expected to arrive by the 24th. This lines up with Canada Post's Expedited Parcel delivery standard.
However, even as of the evening of the 24th, the tracking information shows that Canada Post hasn't even received the phone from Google yet. If I knew it was going to be this slow, I would have just waited until the 24th and walked into any store and bought it there instead. Lesson learned.
Anyone else in the same situation? Or did anybody in Canada get theirs from the Google Store already?

I'm getting mine tomorrow (Fri Oct 25) ordered on the 23rd. Got the white XL 64 gig. You'll probably get it tomorrow. There have been times where they don't for some reason scan the packages. Happened to me when I got my Pixel 2 XL.

Ordered on the 15 was dispatched on the 22 says it will be delivered on the 25 -28 Edmonton Alberta. From the Google the store..

I had my order completed and my credit card charged literally 30 seconds after the Pixel 4/XL went up for sale, yet people who ordered later already have theirs. I guess the moral of the story is that the Google Store has no consistency.
Did the phone ship via Canada Post for everyone? Perhaps they used different couriers for different regions. I would have been willing to pay for expedited shipping but there was no such option. It's strange since people ordering from the US Google Store had expediting shipping options.
I got mine today. Bought it on the pre-order and it arrived today via Canada Post.

Canada Post came and went this morning, no delivery. Tracking status hasn't changed, still hasn't been picked up from the warehouse.
Clearly somebody messed up. With a purchase of this price, you would think that more care would be taken to ensure that it is shipped out on time and not left sitting in some warehouse for days or potentially weeks.
Well, I won't be buying anything from the Google Store ever again. I'm going to go pick up a 4 XL locally this morning and cancel my Google Store shipment. Based on the current level of incompetence, I imagine they will give me a lot of trouble getting my money back too.
Mine has arrived and processed at Edmonton should be here this afternoon.

Decided to contact Google chat support and the rep told me she needs to transfer me to the shipping team as it seems there is an issue with the device being sent to Canada Post.
Had me waiting nearly an hour to be transferred before I just gave up on waiting.
Leaning towards just cancelling my order and buying the phone from a local best buy or something but I really would love to have that $150 credit for pre-ordering. I also had $50 credit from before so it was helping a bit with the price.
Going to try giving them a call instead of chat and see what happens. Man this sucks, was really hoping to set this 4XL up over the weekend.

Isn't it sickening? There is just no excuse for that kind of incompetence, especially from such a massive company.
What version of the phone did you order? I ordered a white 128 GB XL and it arrived yesterday via Canada Post for me. I'm in Nova Scotia. I ordered mine similar to you, shortly after it was available for preorder on the 15th.
It's possible other versions of the phone (color/storage) did not ship as fast.

I ordered the Just Black 128GB model. Seems like it's the least popular option so I thought it'd arrive sooner than later. Definitely didn't expect for an issue like Canada Post not even receiving the phone :/

I'm in the USA. I bought both the Pixel 5 and Chromecast with Google TV at like 11:30am on the day they were announced. I had my Chromecast by 3pm the next day. I hope the Pixel 5 shipping is just as fast.

Google Store order expected Nov 3-4 but order on store does not have the cancel option anymore. I'm in Montana and looks like it may ship soon?!? We shall see...
I still have the cancel option. Ordered on the 11th. Shipping is expected Nov 4-5. Google store US
Cancel option still on mine. Delivery set for Nov 4th or 5th ordered October 9th, I'm in Indiana. I used Google finance and they charged me immediately it seems.
I pre-ordered through Telus on Oct. 15. Got my UPS tracking number on Friday - it shows a delivery date of tomorrow, Monday Oct. 26 @ 10:30-2:30pm!!!!
However, I'm a bit skeptical. UPS tracking only shows a label was created, not a single scan since Friday. I'll mentally expect it Tuesday or Wednesday

Same here. Still show label created but in mississauga. From past experience that'll shoot change in the morning to in transit. Fingers crossed of course lol
